“Should I get security to escort you out?” I asked Brad. “I can walk myself out.” “Well then after you.” As we walked out of the office Sonja was standing behind her desk, she gave Brad a murderous look when we walked through the other space everyone looked down, they didn’t even make eye contact with Brad. When we got to the foyer, I told the security in front of Brad that he was not allowed in the building anymore. They all looked at him and he agreed.
I got in the SUV but Jenn looked a bit angry at me “What’s wrong?” I asked her. “Why didn’t you lead with the fact that you could have bought the company?” “Because it’s yours Jenn I didn’t want to take away what is rightfully yours.” “So, you would have let those poor women suffer just to protect my inheritance.” “You are and will always be my top priority Jenn I’ll do anything for you.” “Now how can I be angry after you said that to me.” She leaned in and gave me a kiss. Which made me feel much better than when I got into the SUV. We drove to the casino, “Jenn?” “Yes Romeo?” she said with a little sass to her tone. “I’m really proud of you.” “Why?” she asked surprised. “The fact that you stood up to your dad the fact that you told him you are not afraid of him anymore. When we got to the casino it was way pass 10, Brad kept us busy far longer than I thought. We walked up to Bruno’s old office finding Josh going some paper work. When we walked in Josh jumped up. “Romeo Miss Rynn.” “Josh please I’ve told you countless times to call me Jennifer.” “Sorry Jennifer.” “What’s going on Josh?” “I just found these papers underneath a lot of papers and I’m not sure I’m understanding them, right?” “Why?” “Because according to these a lot of money is disappearing into Bruno’s accounts.” “I won’t be surprised in the least.” “Yes, but it’s weird it’s like he was borrowing money to clients and the interest he asked them was enormous.” “Fuck, let me have a look at them later, I need to speak to you as well. We’re is the staff?” “I told them to come back at 11.” “Good so they will all be coming now?” “Yes.” Jennifer and I walked into the conference room with Josh behind us. When we entered everyone got up. “Relax we not in the army, sit down or should I say at ease?” That got a smile out of most of them. I saw the security guard from yesterday that help Vivian and made a mental note that I should remember to ask him how she was doing. “Okay guys as you all know this is Jennifer Rynn, she prefers you calling her Jennifer. Brad will be going on early retirement and Jenn will be the face of the companies but I will be running them. I heard Jennifer breathing for the first time after I said that.

When Romeo introduced me to the casino employees of which I knew a few and he said I’ll be the face but he will be running the company I could breathe for the first time I thought I would have to run them and I really didn’t want to. It’s amazing how Romeo knew me so well. Now I could relax and just listen to what Romeo said to the staff and offer my support to the women that was raped. While we sat in the meeting my mind was drifting off, this is why I could never be in corporate business. My mind was drifting off to what waits for me tonight.
