We stopped in front of the Top of the world STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower’s Restaurant. I always wanted to come here but I never had someone I wanted to bring and now someone is bringing me. How life can change in a blink of an eye. “Oh, wow Romeo.” I said as he helped me out of the SUV, “I’ve always wanted to come here.” “Then I’m very happy I’m the one that can bring you.” We walked into the casino found the lifts and went to the roof top. When we walked out of the lifts my mouth was hanging open with all the views and the smells. I might not be hungry but I will be eating today. Definitely. The host of the restaurant greeted Romeo on his surname “Mr. Bianchi good afternoon please follow me.” “Good afternoon.” Romeo greeted her, as we followed her to our table. I took it it was the best table in the restaurant but I don’t think there was a table in the restaurant that didn’t have this awesome view of Las Vegas.
Romeo pulled out my chair and made sure I was settled before he took his seat at the table. “This is, just beautiful.” I said as I looked around. “I’m glad you approve darling.” “What’s the occasion?” I asked him, I mean you only come here if there is an occasion. “Well, we didn’t celebrate our engagement yet so let’s say it’s a celebration of our engagement and the fact that you came back to me.” “Definitely something we can celebrate.” The waiter came and he order a scotch on the rocks for him and a non-alcoholic sparkling wine for me, clearly he thought about the medication I was taking. “Now that we are not in such a rush, how are you feeling today darling?” Romeo asked me.” “I’m feeling much better than yesterday I must say.” “That makes me happy to hear.” “Don’t get me wrong I’m still tired but not as much as yesterday.” “Good.” The waiter came with our drinks, Romeo took his glass and lift it to make a toast, “On us darling and you being my wife very soon.” We toasted and took a sip of our drinks.
Maybe I should tell him what I was thinking about the wedding. “Romeo I was thinking last night before I fell asleep again.” “Yes, what’s wrong darling?” “Nothing is wrong I was just thinking maybe we should have a Christmas wedding we only moving the wedding by 24 days I’m sure my father won’t come between us in that time, then the arm cast will be off and all the bruises will be mostly gone.” “I don’t have a problem with that darling but is it your decision to move it or are you thinking about the things Caroline said.” “No, it’s all me, I mean if it was still just an agreement it would be different but I’m planning on only getting married once and I would like to do it whole not half way broken.” “You not broken Jenn.” “You know what I mean Romeo.” “Yes, I know, won’t it cause problems with Caroline and everything that is already been booked.” “Like you said Caroline is working for me she just has to move everything. In fact, we were supposed to go to the caterers today for tasting but she never called back with a time. Maybe I should just do everything myself, Caroline is just wasting my time and making me doubt myself.” “Whatever you want darling, I just thought a wedding planner will make things easier for you.” “If the wedding planner was actually nice and really did want to help but I don’t get that feeling from Caroline she’s just wasting your money.” “Okay Jenn I’ll call her and cancel everything with her.” “That’s not necessary I’ll do it.” “No, I’ll do it I got her and I want to give her a piece of my mind.” “Okay I’m not going to argue with you there.” “Good.”
Romeo
We were in the restaurant chatting about the wedding which Jenn wanted to move to the 24th of Dec. I didn’t have a problem with it at all I’m just not sure how many people will rock up on Christmas eve. “If I can make a suggestion Jenn?” “Yes, off course.” “We need to send the invitations out ASAP; you are talking about Christmas eve.” “I know, would your friend be able to see us tomorrow I know it’s a Sunday but I have a good idea of what I want and in which font, it will be a quick consultation.” “I’ll make it happen Jenn don’t you worry.” “Well, if that is done, I’m sure we will get the rest done quickly as well and my dress will be here next week.” I must say she looked much more excited about the wedding now, since she took over the arrangements, I should have known Caroline wouldn’t work for Jenn, Jenn likes doing things herself. I just hope she likes my wedding present. The waiter came again and I ordered us a started “Can we have the Lobster Bisque and a chopped Caesar salad to share please.” “Right away sir.” Jenn and I talked more about the wedding we decided to still have it at the house that part didn’t change, the colors didn’t change either it will be cream and a soft pink, flowers stayed the same and obviously her bakery will do cupcakes for the wedding cake. “I just need to find someone that hires out chairs and tables.” She said. “I know someone Jenn or you know what I’ll give you one of my hotels event managers numbers you can get everything from her we can even have one of my hotels to cater.” I mean I have the resources why not use them. “Are you sure?” “Off course Jenn.” She basically jumped up not worrying about anyone in the restaurant threw herself on my lap with her arm around my neck and kissed me “Thank you Romeo, Thank you so much.” “If I knew planning the wedding will make you this happy, I would have never arranged the wedding planner.” The waiter walked towards us with our starters that’s when Jenn got up and went to sit on her own seat. “Romeo you are really the best I feel much better now. I might not even sleep this afternoon.” “Oh no you don’t you need your sleep to get better.”
