Chapter 102

Agnes fumed, "Leopold, you've got some nerve to let another girl sit on your lap!"

Leopold smirked. He knew Agnes was baiting him, trying to catch him off guard.

He grabbed her arm as she tried to stand up and looked her straight in the eyes. "I swear, no one else gets to sit on my lap. That's your spot, and yours alone."

Agnes was moved by the sincerity in his eyes. She couldn't look away from his face. Finally, she found her voice and said boldly, "Leopold, I want to be with you tonight."

Leopold chuckled. "You forgot, you're still on your period."

Agnes suddenly remembered and laughed awkwardly. "Alright, let's talk about it in a week."

But Leopold seemed intrigued. He took the drink from her hand, set it aside, and gently pushed her down onto the sofa.

"No, please, Leopold," Agnes pleaded.

Just as things were heating up, the office door swung open without warning.

The person standing there left Agnes stunned.

Leopold shot a cold glance at Ethan, who was still in shock. "Mr. Perez, why are you here so early today?"

He slowly helped Agnes up from the sofa. Her face was flushed with embarrassment.

Ethan stepped back, trying to hide his surprise. "I heard you were coming, so I came early. I didn't expect to find you... in the middle of something..." His voice trailed off under Leopold's icy stare.

Agnes awkwardly stood up, holding her drink, and apologized to Ethan. "Mr. Perez, I'm sorry, please don't misunderstand. I was just feeling unwell, and Leopold brought me a drink. I'll leave now."

Ethan was surprised that Leopold had gone out of his way to bring her a drink. "Leopold, since when do you have time for this?"

Leopold calmly took Agnes's hand and replied, "When my wife needs something, I'll make time, no matter where I am."

Agnes wished she could silence Leopold. He was so shameless, caught in the act and still chatting as if nothing had happened.

Leopold got up from the sofa and wrapped his arm around her waist. "I'll walk you out."

Agnes shook her head repeatedly. "No need. You two carry on. I can go back by myself!" She broke free from his embrace and ran out of the office, her face red.

Ethan sat back in his chair. "Only a charmer like you can make a girl like Agnes blush."

As far as he knew, Agnes had always had a boyish personality and never blushed in front of men.

Leopold gave him a sidelong glance. "I'm leaving. Your office sofa is nice. Maybe next time, I'll invite Agnes to do it on that sofa."

Ethan held back a snarky comment, giving a warm but sarcastic smile. "You talk like you've already done it before. Don't think I don't know, Leopold. You're 28, have been married for over three years, and still haven't gotten intimate with your wife!"

That hit a nerve for Leopold. He snapped, "Shut up!"

Ethan didn't flinch. "As someone with experience, I can tell you, even though you're close, something's still missing. So, I guess you haven't slept with Agnes yet!"

Seeing Leopold's grim expression, Ethan knew he was right!

Agnes was something else. Despite all of Leopold's qualities, she was still the one he hadn't fully won over! Ethan couldn't help but laugh.

Leopold kicked the desk in frustration and stormed out of the office without looking back.

Back in the car, Leopold silently vowed to have Agnes completely within a week, or he wouldn't consider himself a man!

He was determined to win both her body and her heart!

Thinking of Agnes's shyness and playful cuteness in his arms just now, Leopold's mood lightened a bit.

At Tranquil Haven Estates, Leopold lifted Agnes out of the passenger seat. She clung to his clothes. "Hey, I can walk."

"You're not feeling well; don't push yourself." Leopold closed the car door with one foot.

"No, really, I'm not feeling unwell at all this time. Put me down."

As she struggled, Leopold had already carried her to the villa door. "Open the door."

Agnes had no choice but to extend her finger for the fingerprint lock.

The villa was brightly lit inside. About a dozen people were busy in the living room. Seeing them, everyone stopped what they were doing and greeted respectfully, "Mr. Neville."

The few servants in the villa added, "Mrs. Neville."

Hearing the title "Mrs. Neville," the others looked at Agnes in Leopold's arms in surprise. When did Leopold get married? How come they never heard about it?

Soon, they also followed suit and greeted, "Mrs. Neville."

Agnes nodded shyly and looked at the items in their hands, asking Leopold in surprise, "What's all this?"

Leopold set her down gently and explained, "I realized I hadn't arranged for any winter clothes to be sent over. Do you like them?"

In the past, his clothes were always prepared by Tessa. He never had to worry about such trivial matters. Now, with Agnes in his life, he realized there were many things he hadn't yet considered.

He would make sure to pay attention from now on.

The racks in the living room were filled with clothes, at least dozens of them, all prepared for Agnes.

"That's too many clothes. I haven't even worn all the fall clothes you gave me last time." Agnes smiled wryly. She wasn't running a clothing store; she didn't need so many.

Despite her words, Agnes had already started picking out clothes.
