Chapter 141

At eight in the evening, a couple walked out of the elevator hand in hand. Agnes playfully put on the hood of her down jacket, half-covering her face, and followed closely behind Leopold as they left the hotel.

"Mr. Neville going out? Need a car arranged?" the receptionist politely inquired.

"No need," Leopold responded indifferently.

"Any other needs, Mr. Neville?"

"None, thank you."

A series of respectful farewells accompanied by curious glances followed them until they left the hotel premises. Only then did Agnes feel relieved. Beside her, Leopold seemed displeased by her actions. He glanced at her with a slightly disapproving look, "Do you feel embarrassed being with me?"

Agnes was taken aback. Why was this question coming up again? Feeling guilty, she quickly hugged Leopold's arm and said coquettishly, "Can you wait until I graduate? I'm not ready to be a public figure yet!" She added a sweet note, "You know your status is prominent, being your wife is a lot of pressure for me."

Hearing her soft voice, Leopold's lips curled slightly, but he deliberately kept a stern face, "Walk properly!"

Agnes immediately protested, "I want to, but it's because of you." If he hadn't dragged her out for food, she might still be enduring his "sweet torment."

Her complaint made Leopold's eyes smile even more, and his tone softened, "What do you want to eat?"

"I don't know, I just wanted to walk around. I haven't explored this city yet." By the way, her other cousin was a freshman at a university here, but she didn't know the exact location.

She took out her phone and casually asked Leopold, "Do you know where Oceancrest City Film Academy is?"

"Yes."

"Where exactly?"

"About two miles from here."

Agnes's eyes lit up immediately. She dialed a number and, before it connected, said to Leopold, "How about I introduce you to someone?"

Leopold raised an eyebrow, "You know someone here?"

"Yes, my cousin!"

The call quickly connected, and a cheerful female voice came through, "Agnes, what made you think of me?"

Cherie's voice made Agnes happy, "Cherie, I'm in Oceancrest City. Do you have time? Let's have dinner together."

Cherie, 19, Grace's sister, and also Agnes's cousin. The two were much closer than Agnes and Grace.

"Wow! You're here, wait for me, I'll be right there, send me the address!" Cherie's excited scream was loud enough for Leopold to hear clearly.

Leopold glanced at Agnes's phone, secretly relieved that Agnes was relatively quiet.

Poor Cherie, she hadn't even met Leopold yet and was already disliked for her loud voice.

The final meeting place was chosen at a restaurant near a mall entrance. Originally, Leopold wanted to take Agnes to try some local specialties, but worried that Cherie might not find it, Agnes chose this restaurant with a prominent sign.

Cherie arrived by taxi, and Agnes saw her as soon as she stepped out.

Cherie, slender and petite, wore a long white down jacket. Her big eyes, enhanced by contact lenses, were particularly lively on her small face. Her long hair was simply tied back with a coffee-colored hairband.

"Agnes!" Cherie's call echoed for dozens of meters. "Oh my! What have you been doing lately? How did you become so beautiful! Look at your skin, it's even better than mine."

Agnes was amused, "Not bad, hasn't your school holiday started yet?"

"Ugh, don't mention it. Our school is too much, everyone else is on holiday, and we're still studying hard. I miss you, did you come alone?"

The long-separated sisters were overjoyed to see each other. After a warm hug, Agnes led Cherie into a simply decorated private room.

Inside, Leopold was on the phone. Seeing the two enter, he quickly ended the call.

Before Agnes could introduce them, Cherie exclaimed, "Wow! So handsome! Agnes, isn't this the guy from your Facebook post after a shower?" Cherie had seen that Facebook post and had pestered Agnes about it for a long time.

Cherie's bluntness made Agnes blush. Feeling Agnes's smiling gaze, she quickly covered Cherie's mouth, "You saw wrong, be quiet, let me introduce."

Cherie nodded eagerly, anxious to know Leopold's identity, "Let me guess, is he your boyfriend or lover?"

Cherie's straightforwardness made Agnes shyly cover her face. Just as she was considering using a napkin to block Cherie's mouth, Leopold spoke, "Hello, I'm Agnes's husband, Leopold."

"Husband? Leopold?" Cherie's scream nearly lifted the curtain of the private room, and the entire restaurant seemed to tremble.

A waiter came over at the sound, and Cherie realized her faux pas, smiling apologetically at the waiter.

After the waiter left, Cherie grabbed Agnes's hand, jumping up and down excitedly, "Agnes, he's really Leopold! I was just thinking how much he looked like Leopold, and it turns out he really is, Leopold himself!"

Agnes helplessly rubbed her ears, "Cherie, keep it down, you're going to scare Leopold away!"

Though Leopold disliked noise, he didn't show it. Cherie, afraid of angering Leopold, immediately restrained herself, awkwardly clearing her throat, "Sorry Leopold, I'm usually very quiet, just too excited to see you and Agnes."

Imagine, a super handsome, wealthy, charming, and mysterious man, the dream lover of countless girls, not only do you get to meet him, but he's also your relative, who wouldn't be thrilled?

Leopold maintained a gentlemanly smile, "Please, have a seat."

Agnes pulled Cherie to sit down, intending to sit beside her, but Leopold guided her to sit next to him. Cherie saw this and covered her mouth, giggling.

Knowing Cherie's taste, Agnes and Leopold had already arranged the menu. Shortly after Cherie sat down, the food began to arrive.

Agnes picked a piece of Cherie's favorite food for her and casually asked, "Grace is here too, we just came back from Willow Creek. Has she contacted you?"

Although Grace didn't get along well with her, Cherie was her real sister, and Grace genuinely cared for Cherie.
