Chapter 160
Agnes was extremely upset, it was simply hopeless.
"Since Kevin cares so much about Agnes..." Leopold casually placed the ice pack on Agnes's face while glancing at Elliot, who had just gotten up, "Elliot, go and punch Kevin's face until it's swollen."
Kevin immediately panicked, desperately trying to recall what he had just said.
Leopold looked at Kevin's changing expression and laughed, but his tone was indifferent, "This way, you two can care for each other."
Agnes held her forehead, finding Leopold's jealousy completely unreasonable.
"No, no, no, I'm sorry Mr. Neville, I didn't say anything."
Kevin wanted to escape but was blocked by Elliot. "Kevin, considering I've been beaten all night, just let me hit you once!"
Kevin dodged left and right, pleading with his eyes towards Agnes, "Mrs. Neville, please save me."
Agnes couldn't help but laugh at the scene. She gently pulled Leopold's hand and said softly, "Kevin was just concerned about me. If you hurt him, you'll have one less helper, which will be more tiring for you."
Leopold snorted coldly and said mercilessly, "The company is full of talent, we don't need him."
How heartless!
Agnes had a sudden idea and pretended to be sad as she looked at Kevin, "Kevin, you see, my words don't carry much weight with him."
Leopold immediately saw through her plan and raised an eyebrow at the drama-loving Agnes.
Unaware that she had been seen through, Agnes continued to act aggrieved, "Kevin, why don't you ask Ms. Garcia for help? Maybe she'll be more effective than me."
"Get out!" As soon as she finished speaking, Elliot and Kevin quickly ran out.
With only the two of them left in the office, Agnes smiled triumphantly.
Leopold shook his head helplessly, surrendering to Agnes, "The more triumphant you are, the more you'll cry when we get home tonight."
"Can you speak properly?" she muttered.
Leopold pulled her into his arms and kissed her lips, "This is speaking properly."
Agnes slapped his hand away, "I'm not talking to you anymore!"
"Does it still hurt?" Leopold asked with concern.
"It really doesn't hurt anymore. How much longer do you have to work? I'll wait here for you." She took the ice pack from his hand and held it herself.
If it weren't for the sufficient heating, her hands would have been frozen holding the ice pack in this winter.
"I'm almost done for today, let's go home." She came at the right time, Leopold was about to finish up and go home, but he didn't expect Elliot to bring her here.
Back home, they took a shower and lay in bed. Leopold told her about the upcoming schedule: tomorrow, Agnes would attend an entrepreneur exchange meeting as the largest shareholder of a private club, and the day after, they would fly to Beacon City for New Year's Eve.
Lydia would be with them. For the past few years, Lydia either spent New Year's Eve with the Hayes Family or the Neville Family. After all, Lydia was the daughter of their savior, and both families treated her well.
Hearing that Lydia would be with them, Agnes's mood instantly dropped.
Leopold, with his keen insight, noticed her change. "Actually, she's quite nice. Maybe you had some misunderstandings before. Try to get along this time."
It's normal for the two not to like each other. Lydia relied on him, and as his wife, Agnes would naturally feel uncomfortable seeing Lydia rely on him. When she grows up, she can go study abroad and find a suitable partner.
Hearing this, Agnes reluctantly accepted, "Oh."
Leopold kissed her, "Don't worry, I won't let you be wronged."
With this assurance, Agnes felt much better and wrapped her arms around his neck, "You better keep your word, or I'll go have fun by myself and not take you."
"Have fun by yourself? How?"
"Of course, I'll take your money and keep a few handsome men, have fun, haha, stop blowing in my ear, it tickles."
"You still have the energy to find other men? Have I failed?" Leopold pressed down on her, his eyes dangerous like a wolf.
"Stop joking, Mr. Neville, speak properly! Mmm mmm mmm." All her protests were silenced by him, and the room was filled with an ambiguous atmosphere.
When Faith returned home in a mess, Harold and Chloe were still awake, waiting to ask her about what happened.
Chloe anxiously pulled her over, "Faith, what happened to you? Why is your hair cut like this? What happened? Tell Mom."
Faith couldn't stop crying, scaring her parents. "It was Agnes, her friend Bella became a third party between me and Mr. Neville. She bullied me because she's Kevin's wife. Mom, so many people saw me in such a mess, I don't want to live anymore, boo hoo hoo."
"Agnes?" The name shocked Harold and Chloe. They couldn't believe Agnes dared to bully Faith.
