Chapter 181
Agnes got excited as soon as she heard they were going out, "Great! What are we waiting for? Let's go now!"
Without further ado, the two of them left the room and ran into Tiffany and Lydia, who were just coming upstairs.
Lydia looked at the two of them, all dressed up, and asked curiously, "Leopold, Agnes, are you going out?"
Agnes didn't bother to respond, and Leopold nodded lightly, "We're going out for a bit."
"Where to?" Tiffany asked.
"To the movies." Agnes had chosen the movie; her favorite idol had just released a new film, and she had been looking forward to it for days.
Lydia's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this, "The movies? I want to go too! Can you take me?"
Agnes complained inwardly, 'Lydia, we're on a date, can't you be more considerate?'
"Next time, the movie tonight might not be to your liking." Fortunately, Leopold refused, or Agnes would have thought Leopold was always accommodating Lydia.
But Lydia was persistent. She ran over and grabbed Leopold's arm, whining, "No, I would be bored at home. I can go with you. Leopold, don't refuse, okay? I get really lonely after Grandma goes to bed!"
Tiffany chimed in, "That's right, Lydia hasn't had a chance to go out these days because she's been keeping me company. You two, as elders, should take her out to relax."
Reluctantly, a few minutes later, the three of them walked out of the Neville Manor together.
At the cinema, Agnes used her phone to get the tickets from the automatic ticket machine, while Lydia went to buy snacks and drinks.
Entering the theater, Agnes originally sat in the middle, but Lydia sat right next to her, sitting next to Leopold.
So, Leopold ended up sitting between the two of them.
Agnes reminded, "Those are other people's seats."
Lydia casually replied, "There are no other people. I have booked the whole theater."
Agnes was speechless. Why didn't she tell me this?
Leopold explained, "The assistant handled it while you were in the restroom."
If she had known, she wouldn't have given Lydia any chance.
When the lights dimmed and the movie started, Agnes had specifically chosen a film starring Nicole.
Agnes liked her because Nicole started as a singer and later became an excellent actress, who was so outstanding to develop in all areas.
Watching the middle-aged actress on the big screen, Leopold told Agnes, "Your idol Nicole is actually Ethan's half-sister."
"Really? They don't look alike. Is it because of makeup?"
"No, it's because they have different mothers. It's not surprising they don't look alike."
Indeed, wealthy families always had such complex backgrounds, just like Justin and Leroy.
While eating chips, she asked, "I heard that after Leroy's mother passed away, his father married Justin's mother. What about Ethan?"
At the last yacht party, there were hardly any direct members of the Perez family.
"The Perez family is complicated, and many things are not known to the public. Maybe Ethan can tell you more in the future." For example, why Ethan was so caring towards Agnes. If Leopold guessed correctly... he glanced at Agnes, who was engrossed in the movie, and he thought some things needed to be thoroughly investigated.
Meanwhile, feeling neglected, Lydia took out a bottle of water and handed it to Leopold, "Leopold, I can't open the cap. Can you help me?"
Leopold took the drink, looked at it, and handed it to the angry Agnes beside him, "Honey, you open it."
Lydia was about to speak, and Agnes immediately perked up, listening. She looked at the drink Leopold handed over, a bit confused, but took it instinctively. What did Leopold mean by this? Was he ordering her around?
Seeing her holding the drink in a daze, Leopold said, "Let me help you."
He quickly opened the drink and handed it to Lydia.
Both Lydia and Agnes were silent.
It turned out that opening the drink was to help Agnes, not Lydia.
Lydia felt embarrassed and was forced to witness their affection. When they left the cinema, a cold wind blew, and Lydia shivered, hugging her arms, "Why is it so cold?"
Leopold turned to Agnes and asked, "Are you cold?"
Lydia was wearing a double-faced cashmere coat with few buttons, while Agnes was wrapped in a down jacket and felt fine. Agnes shook her head, indicating she wasn't cold.
Leopold walked straight to the car, opened the door, and said to Lydia, "If you're cold, get in the car first."
Lydia glanced triumphantly at Agnes and got into the car. Just as she was feeling pleased, Leopold closed the door and instructed the driver, "Lydia is a bit cold, turn up the heat and take her home first."
The driver hesitated, "What about you and Mrs. Neville, Mr. Neville?"
"We'll have the assistant pick us up later," Leopold replied.
Lydia was speechless and could only leave with the car. Agnes stole a glance at Lydia's livid face and chuckled.
Once the car was out of sight, Agnes happily hugged Leopold's waist and started humming.
Leopold's eyes were filled with laughter as he kissed her red lips, "Do you like me that much?"
"Of course!" Agnes said proudly.
Hearing this, Leopold laughed brightly, squatted down, and patted his back, "Even though we don't have a car, you still have me. Tired? I'll carry you!"
Agnes looked at his broad shoulders, too moved to speak, and could only look up at the sky to keep her tears from falling. Then she gently lay on Leopold's back, and he easily lifted her.
"Leopold."
"Hmm? What's up?"
"Why are you so good to me?"
"Silly girl, because you're my wife."
Even though she often felt his gentle care, Agnes was still overwhelmed at this moment. She pressed her face tightly against his warm back and asked, "If I weren't your wife, would you still be this good to me?"
Leopold couldn't help but laugh, "You're my only wife, and I'll always be good to you, understand?"
"Okay, if you break your promise, I'll... I'll jump into the deep sea next to the Neville Manor with you, hahaha."
"Alright, if I break my promise, you can do whatever you want!"
"Well, you can't go back on your word!"
As they walked closer to their destination, it started to drizzle.
Feeling sorry for Leopold's hard work during the day, Agnes jumped off his back, "You've been busy all day, I don't want you to be too tired. You still have to take care of me tonight!"
"Don't worry, I can handle it. But as long as you want, I don't mind carrying you for as long as you want!"
