Chapter 89

As soon as she finished talking, she knew something was off. Leopold had definitely come back yesterday! Her eyes landed on the bandage on his right arm, confirming it wasn't just a dream.

"Awake? Hungry?" Leopold put the documents aside, watching her go from sleepy to wide awake.

"So, you got hurt saving Lydia." Agnes felt uneasy with this truth.

Leopold stayed quiet, his big hand gently brushing her cheek. "Agnes, you know it."

"I know!" Agnes tried to act casual. "I'll head downstairs to eat, and then we’re going to the hospital. Mr. Mccoy said you need a check-up to avoid infection."

He seemed in good spirits, clearly able to get out of bed and walk. She couldn't help but be amazed at how fast he was recovering.

"No need," he said firmly.

Just as she stood up, she turned sharply and warned, "If you don't go to the hospital, I'll have Lydia take care of you. I’m not dealing with a stubborn patient!"

Leopold stayed silent. Her sweet, shy, and lovely stage persona was just an act.

Back in the room, Agnes quickly tidied up and then went downstairs.

In the dining room, Eden, following Leopold's orders, had heated up the dishes for Agnes.

After a quick meal, she went back to Leopold's room, looking annoyed. "Leopold, are you going to the hospital or not?"

"If you're worried, have the doctor come here," Leopold suggested.

"Mr. Mccoy already came. The medical stuff at home isn't as good as the hospital, so you should still go," Agnes insisted.

Leopold said nothing.

Agnes gritted her teeth silently. Leopold was so stubborn! "Fine, I'm leaving. I won't come back until you get better!"

Before she could take a step, he grabbed her wrist. His tone was a bit helpless, "Fine, I'll go."

She was secretly pleased and pulled away from his grip. "I'll get your clothes."

Entering Leopold's walk-in closet, Agnes was shocked by how tidy it was. Clothes and accessories were neatly displayed like in a store.

To avoid media attention, Agnes picked out a black tracksuit she had never seen Leopold wear, paired with a thick white hoodie and a white baseball cap. The outfit was low-key but stylish.

She placed the clothes by the bed. "Alright, put these on!"

Leopold glanced at his right hand. "I can't manage; you help me change."

"I'll call a servant here." Leopold had a few household staff.

His cool voice came from behind her. "You're my wife. Are you okay with another woman dressing me?"

Agnes sighed and agreed, "Alright, I'll do it!" She would never let anyone else see his body!

Luckily, Leopold was only hurt in the arm. Although there was a bit of teasing while changing pants, the process went smoothly.

As Agnes pulled the hoodie over his head, she accidentally bumped into his firm chest, her lips brushing against it.

Leopold shuddered, wrapping his left arm around her. "Agnes, you're seducing me!"

Agnes wiped the warmth from her cheek with the back of her hand. "Nonsense. You're just too tall. I lost my balance."

He leaned close to her ear, whispering seductively, "How about we go to the hospital later?"

"Why?" Agnes asked.

"I want to make love to you," he replied.

"What are you thinking? Get dressed! Stop messing around!" Agnes blushed, hurriedly pushing him away and clumsily helping him with his sleeves.

He tried to push his luck, "It's just my arm that's hurt. Everything else is fine. Why don't we give it a try?"

Agnes put on a fierce look to hide her shyness. "What are you thinking? Get dressed and go to the hospital!"

"I wanted to keep you from leaving last night, but I got injured." He spoke bluntly, his patience wearing thin. If he didn't act soon, he feared he'd go crazy.

Agnes glared at him, "Even God is helping me!"

"If God really didn't want me to have my way, He should have injured my private parts, not my arm. Agnes, I can manage everything with one hand. Why don't we give it a try?" he said.

Agnes was almost driven crazy by Leopold. Why was he so sexually aggressive today? His hands were also restless. She stomped hard on his foot. "Can you be normal?"

He was amused by her embarrassed and angry look, lowering his head to plant a light kiss on her lips. "Baby, I'll go to the hospital, but you have to give me a reward."

Leopold's "baby" melted her heart. Agnes couldn't help but smile and asked softly, "What reward?"

"This!" As soon as he finished speaking, he pulled her into his arms, their lips meeting, leaving only the sound of their breathing in the room.

When leaving the room, Agnes covered her flushed face and ran back to her room to find a new mask.

Finally, under Agnes's careful disguise, ensuring that wearing sunglasses and a mask would not reveal his identity, they left the villa.

Kevin had pre-arranged the hospital visit. Leopold's bandage was removed, and a new medication was applied. By the time everything was done, two hours had passed. Leopold didn't pull Agnes to leave but headed toward the inpatient department.

"Where are we going?" Agnes was puzzled.

Leopold replied, "To the inpatient department to check on Lydia. She's still under observation."

As soon as Leopold and Agnes reached the ward door, they heard Lydia's clear laughter. Agnes noticed the smile on Leopold's lips and secretly made a funny face.

In the ward, Leroy and Clifford were by Lydia's bedside, making her giggle.

Seeing Leopold and Agnes suddenly appear, Lydia's eyes lit up, and she ran to Leopold. "Mr. Neville, are you okay? Does your wound still hurt?"
