Chapter 109
With a slight blush on her cheeks, Agnes placed the men's skincare products on the sink. She didn't buy a lot, but each item was carefully picked out.
She opened an elegantly designed face cream and couldn't help but admire it; even the packaging screamed luxury.
The sales assistant had mentioned that this packaging had won the International Skincare Packaging Design Gold Award of the year. More beautiful? Nah, just more expensive!
The cost of this men's face cream could've bought her several sets of her own skincare products. She quietly opened it, and inside, the cream had a luxurious sheen. A light sniff revealed a subtle, comforting fragrance.
She carefully took a small amount and applied it evenly on the back of her hand.
At first, she didn't feel anything special, but then she noticed the excellent moisturizing effect, making her skin exceptionally smooth. The high price was indeed justified!
As for the men's cologne, she had sampled almost everything at the perfume counter before finding one that matched Leopold's scent, finally settling on a light and pleasant fragrance.
After tidying up and taking a bath, it was already ten o'clock in the evening. Agnes opened a few newly purchased skincare products, applied them, and then contentedly crawled into bed to sleep.
She initially wanted to play with her phone for a while, but thinking that Leopold hadn't returned yet, she dialed his number first.
"Honey." Leopold's voice quickly came through.
"It's already ten o'clock. Are you still busy?" Agnes asked.
Was it because she missed him? Leopold leaned back in his car seat with a slight smile, looking at the scenery passing by outside the window, and said, "I'll be home in five minutes."
"Okay, be careful on your way!" Agnes said.
After hanging up the phone, Agnes tossed and turned in bed, finally picking up her phone and quietly going downstairs. She heated some milk for herself without disturbing anyone.
From the end of the call to the doorbell ringing, it was less than five minutes before Leopold's figure appeared inside the house.
Seeing the kitchen lights on, he didn't think much of it, loosened his tie, and prepared to head straight upstairs.
"Leopold!" A clear call came, and his steps, which were about to go upstairs, turned towards the kitchen.
At the kitchen door, Agnes quickly offered a warm cup of milk, handing it to Leopold. "Have some milk."
He took the milk.
Leopold didn't taste the milk first; instead, he extended his other arm, pulling her into his embrace and gently kissing her lips. "Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Only then did Agnes realize he had been drinking. The closer distance made the strong smell of alcohol even more apparent.
"You've been drinking." She looked up at him.
"I had a contract discussion tonight and had a few drinks," Leopold replied.
'It seems like more than a few drinks,' Agnes thought to herself.
Leopold drank the milk in one gulp, placed the empty cup on the table, and finally carried her upstairs.
"Wait, wait, the lights are still on!" Agnes pointed to the kitchen.
Leopold didn't stop. "Someone will turn them off."
As he finished speaking, a maid emerged from the shadows, carrying the used cup into the kitchen.
Back in the bedroom, Leopold immediately pressed her onto the bed, kissing her lips and whispering, "Agnes, you smell so good."
Of course, she did; those bath products weren't cheap. The smell of alcohol on him almost made her tipsy as well. Agnes cupped his face with her hands, pretending to be stern. "You smell like alcohol and smoke; go take a shower!"
"Okay!" He kissed her deeply again before getting out of bed.
Leopold pulled her up from the bed. "Help me with my tie!"
"Can't you do it yourself?" Agnes held his tie and started to fiddle with it.
"No, I need your help!" He teased her.
Unexpectedly, Agnes took it seriously and threw his tie aside. "Who used to do it for you?"
Leopold was pretty straightforward. "Usually myself, sometimes the maid or Tessa."
Tessa? That assistant who was always trying to cozy up to Lydia? "Why let her help you with your tie?" Agnes asked, her voice tinged with annoyance.
Leopold chuckled at her reaction and pulled her into a hug. "From now on, only you get to touch my tie, okay?"
"Of course, no other woman can touch it!" she warned, her tone firm.
"Yes, ma'am!" He kissed her forehead lightly, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He loved seeing her jealous; it made her even more adorable.
Finally managing to untie Leopold's tie, Agnes, while unbuttoning his shirt, had a question pop into her mind. She asked thoughtfully, "Leopold, people always say making love is wonderful, but for me, it's just been painful. Are you sure you're good at it?"
Such a question was a devastating blow to Leopold! His face darkened as he pulled her into his arms. "Of course, I am."
The cold tone made Agnes snap back to reality. "What's wrong? Did I say something wrong? Hey, Leopold, stop."
Leopold didn't even bother to shower; he pressed her onto the bed, determined to prove his point.
After a long time, Leopold finally walked into the bathroom.
He had really given her a hard time! Now she could only lie in bed, unable to move, just wanting to sleep!
Twenty minutes later, Agnes had fallen into a deep sleep, dreaming of a husky licking her lips. She pushed the dog's face away, "Get lost! How dare a dog kiss me!"
Leopold, who was on top of her, was slapped for no reason and called a dog, his face turning extremely dark.
He restrained her flailing hands and kissed her ear. "Agnes, look at who I am!"
In her daze, Agnes recognized Leopold and quickly begged for mercy, "Leopold, I'm sorry. I want to sleep; let's sleep, okay?"
"No way!" Leopold refused without thinking, forcing her to open her eyes and look at him. "Agnes, am I good at it or not?"
He asked her this question countless times until she almost cried. "Good, you're not only good but also skilled."
From childhood to adulthood, besides singing until her throat was hoarse, it was the first time Agnes had shouted until her throat was sore.
She didn't know how long she had slept when she was awakened by the phone ringing. Reaching for her phone, she squinted at the caller ID. "Hello, Justin."
"Agnes, are you sick? Why is your voice hoarse? Did you go singing again?" Justin thought for a moment, realizing it couldn't be singing, as Agnes would have taken him along if she had gone.
Thinking of the reason for her hoarse voice, she quickly opened her eyes and cleared her throat. "I just woke up, so my voice is a bit hoarse. What's up?"
"You just woke up? Look at the time, it's almost noon, and you missed the morning class. Aren't you afraid of Mr. Neville finding out you skipped class again?" Justin said.
Leopold disciplining Agnes was one thing, but after he caught Justin and Agnes in a hotel room last time, he even disciplined Justin.
For example, he called Ethan and said if Justin made another mistake, he would have Ethan transfer him to ZL Group, where Leopold would personally "take care" of him.
This scared Justin into not skipping classes anymore, arriving early for every class. His parents, who could never control him, were so grateful they wanted to thank Leopold!
Now Agnes was skipping class, not replying on WhatsApp, so he had to call her during break, only to find her still sleeping.
"I'm getting up now. Let's go to the afternoon class together. Don't call Leopold to tattle on me!" Agnes sat up, looking at the mess in the room, her cheeks blushing involuntarily.
"Alright, alright, there's his class in the afternoon. If you're coming, hurry up, or he'll give us trouble again!" Justin wanted to stay far away from Leopold and avoid provoking him.
After washing up and going downstairs, Leopold's call came. "Agnes, what are you doing?"
