Chapter 12

Around nine in the morning, Agnes, who was catching some Z's, got jolted awake by the noisy crowd outside the multimedia classroom.

She saw a bunch of people crowding the doorway and windows, giving her the stink eye. "Isn't that Agnes from Class 22? How dare she sleep?" "She's such a disgrace to our school. With her tomboy attitude, she still dares to have a crush on Mr. Neville!" "Yeah, Agnes is really shameless."

Everyone's whispers got cut off by a loud bang. They saw Justin slam the table and stand up, making the scaredy-cats scatter.

Justin, the school's notorious rich kid, was known for being a troublemaker and someone people avoided.

A couple of fearless rich kids at the door provocatively shouted into the classroom, "Agnes, we heard you like Mr. Neville?"

Who? She liked who? Leopold?

Agnes shot a glance at Samuel Phillips and Terry Collins at the door, "Who told you that?" Whoever spread the rumors, she was ready to beat them up!

"Haha, Agnes, don't you know? You're famous now. The whole world knows you confessed your love to Mr. Neville!" Terry said.

"Yeah, you shouted 'Leopold, I love you' in the woods, and now everyone knows! Haha!" Samuel said, mimicking Agnes's voice when he said, 'Leopold, I love you.'

Agnes was instantly dumbfounded. When she shouted in the woods, there was clearly no one around. How did everyone know? Wait, the principal was there too.

Could it be Ethan who said it?

It was most likely Ethan!

She roughly understood the situation and angrily shouted at Samuel and Terry at the door, "Shut up! Get to class!"

Samuel and Terry felt humiliated by Agnes's outburst. They had only heard that Agnes was tough but had never seen her in action.

Samuel and Terry, who weighed 230 pounds and stood 5 feet 6 inches tall, exchanged a glance and walked into the multimedia classroom with their arms crossed, stopping in front of Agnes. Samuel picked up the book in front of Agnes and provocatively slammed it on her desk.

The students from Class 22 immediately stood up and rushed out of the classroom.

Two idiots dared to mess with Agnes. To avoid getting involved, they decided to stay away.

In less than half a minute, only Samuel, Terry, Agnes, and her friends were left in the classroom.

Agnes leaned against Justin's desk behind her and smiled slightly at Samuel and Terry, causing their expressions to change. How could Agnes look so beautiful when she smiled?

Just as Terry was about to drool over Agnes, Agnes suddenly stood up, picked up the book Samuel had slammed, and smacked it heavily on his face.

Samuel cried out in pain, "You bitch!" As the book fell to the ground, a fist slammed into his cheek, leaving a painful bruise.

Justin, sitting on his desk, retracted his fist and blew on his sore fingers, "You should've asked around about who Agnes is before messing with her! You derserve it."

At the same time, a thermos was thrown over, hitting Terry on the head and causing him to howl in pain. Bella had thrown it.

"You just wait!" Samuel, seeing they were outnumbered, whipped out his phone with shaky hands and made a call, "Get some friends to the third-floor multimedia classroom!"

Only these rich kids would dare to have a fight in the classroom!

Agnes stretched out on her desk, yawning, "Let me know when they get here!"

She clearly didn't take them seriously, making Samuel and Terry see red with anger.

Justin patted her shoulder, "Why are you napping? Let's deal with these clowns first!" Ever since he started hanging with Agnes, he'd had fewer chances to brawl, and he was itching for a fight. These two had just served themselves up on a silver platter.

Agnes reluctantly stood up, took a step back, and kicked the chair she had been sitting on toward Samuel's legs.

Samuel, unable to cover his eyes, reached for his aching legs.

Terry, still smarting from Bella's thermos, was thinking of teaching Bella a lesson. Jeremy and Clara stood up, flanking Bella, and looked at Terry with contempt, "Come on, you start it!" Clara said, flipping her long hair behind her and crossing her arms, waiting for Terry to come over.

The atmosphere in the classroom immediately got tense due to Agnes's fighting stance. Five against two, Samuel and Terry instinctively shrank back.

Jeremy, being a good student who didn't fight, went to the classroom door as usual to keep watch.

Samuel's so-called friends arrived quickly, but by then, Samuel and Terry's faces were already swollen from the beating. Holding his swollen face, Samuel pointed at Agnes, "Quick, beat this bitch, it's her..."

"What are you all doing?" Before they could make a move, a voice at the door drew everyone's attention.

The crowd in the hallway was too dense, and Jeremy, focused on the classroom, didn't notice Ethan's sudden appearance.

Before he could remind them, a tall, thin figure appeared at the classroom door—it was Ethan.

Ethan, perhaps due to years of being immersed in books, had a gentle and courteous demeanor.

In the principal's Office, a dozen students stood obediently in a row.

No one in their group would dare offend the Perez family from Lumina City. Even if they were unhappy, they had to toe the line.

"Why the fight?" At 30 years old, Ethan was much more composed than the dozen students in front of him, his voice deep and magnetic.

Samuel opened his mouth but was silenced by a fierce glare from Agnes. He would find a Taekwondo expert to deal with her another day!

Ethan took note of their small actions, his gaze lingering on the defiant Agnes for a couple of extra seconds.

Agnes was so fearless. Perhaps it was because she grew up without a mother's guidance.

Ethan adjusted his glasses and, after asking for the names of the other dozen students, emailed the Office of Student Affairs.

But he didn't ask Agnes, which made everyone, including Agnes, look at Ethan with suspicion, each with their thoughts.
