Chapter 99
Agnes finally got her freedom.
Leopold checked his clothes with a weird look, worried about any stains.
"Stop staring; there's no blood on them. I was careful," Agnes snapped, keeping her distance earlier.
With that, she headed straight upstairs.
By the time she finished her bath and changed clothes, Leopold had already finished breakfast.
As she was about to leave, he called out, "Eat something before you go."
Eden came out of the kitchen with a cup of milk and some toast, "Mrs. Neville, Mr. Neville knows you're on your period, so he made this for you. Drink it while it's hot."
Agnes glanced at Leopold, who seemed engrossed in his newspaper but was actually paying attention to everything.
Since it was already prepared, she decided to eat before leaving. She sat down quietly and thanked Eden.
"You're welcome. Eat more. What do you want for lunch? I'll make it for you," Eden said.
"I won't be back for lunch, Eden. You can go home after you're done," she had other plans and wasn't sure if she'd be back in the evening.
"Alright, you go ahead!" Eden added another bowl of porridge for her before leaving.
After breakfast, Agnes felt much better.
She grabbed her bag and headed out, greeted by falling snowflakes. Just as she was about to call the driver, Leopold appeared silently behind her, "Get in the car."
A black luxury car pulled up smoothly. Kevin got out and greeted them, "Good morning, Mr. Neville, Mrs. Neville!"
Agnes nodded and politely declined Leopold, who had opened the back door for her, "Thank you, but I'm good."
She turned away, ignoring him.
Kevin was secretly impressed. Agnes's courage truly matched the title of "Mrs. Neville"; she was probably the first person to dare to refuse Leopold directly.
Leopold's face darkened as he grabbed her wrist and forcefully pushed her into the car.
Kevin silently gave Leopold a thumbs-up!
Inside the car, Agnes glared at Leopold, who had also taken a seat, and screamed internally, 'Leopold, are you out of your mind?'
But even though she was furious, Agnes didn't dare to scold Leopold directly and could only convey her protest through her eyes.
"I've sent Lydia back. See you at the villa tonight," Leopold said.
Agnes snorted and turned to look out the window, ignoring him.
Leopold rubbed his temples, wondering what to do with her. "If you don't agree, I'll take you to the company and personally bring you home."
Agnes turned back, displeased, "Mr. Neville, do you only know how to threaten people?"
Leopold suddenly took her hand and pulled her close to his chest, saying calmly, "The process doesn't matter. As long as you return to the villa, nothing else is important."
"Let go of me! Just talk. Don't touch me!" she shouted.
"It's cold outside. I'm warming you up!" Leopold said.
Kevin thought to himself, 'Leopold, the car is plenty warm enough!'
Agnes struggled in vain, "I appreciate your kindness, Mr. Neville, but I'm really not cold. I don't need warming."
"Then I'm cold. You warm me up!" Leopold said.
Why did the atmosphere suddenly become so strange?
Trapped in his arms, Agnes was furious and instructed Kevin in the front seat, "Kevin, please turn up the heat. Don't let Mr. Neville get cold!"
Kevin understood and chose to support Leopold, "Mrs. Neville, the heat is already at its highest. The weather is indeed bad today. You should warm Mr. Neville up!"
Agnes stared incredulously at Kevin's back, wishing she could hit him!
Kevin was clearly helping Leopold tease her!
Leopold took the chance to wrap his arm around her waist and declared, "You're not allowed to be mad anymore!"
When Agnes got angry, it never ended, and it made him uneasy.
Agnes smirked, "Mr. Neville, you want to control my mood too? Your control freak tendencies are unmatched. Sorry, I'm not on your remote control!"
"You're untamed!" Leopold said. It seemed like the perfect description for Agnes.
Untamed? "If I'm a wild horse, then you're a runaway wolf!" she shot back.
A hint of helplessness flashed in Leopold's eyes, "Sharp-tongued!" Before she could retort, he leaned in and sealed her lips with his.
Sensing what was about to happen, Kevin coughed lightly and quickly raised the partition to avoid getting in trouble.
With a kiss, Leopold seemed to want to merge Agnes into his very being.
After what felt like forever, Agnes finally broke free. She struggled to straighten her clothes and pushed Leopold off her, "Mr. Neville, you're too heavy. Get up!"
Leopold didn't budge, his voice hoarse as he whispered in her ear, "Baby, once your period is over, if I hold back again, I won't be a real man!"
Agnes's heart tightened. His restraint was always evident. After more than three years of marriage without a sexual relationship, it seemed only she and Leopold were in such a situation. "Wait, let's pick a good day to make love."
He pretended to go along, "Do I need to hold a press conference to announce to the world that I'm going to make love with you?"
Agnes awkwardly laughed, "Let's skip that part."
His hand withdrew from her clothes, and he half-supported himself, trapping her in the corner. He gently kissed her slightly swollen lips and softly said, "Baby, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have made you angry. Please don't be mad anymore, okay?"
With his embrace, kisses, and apology, Agnes's anger had long dissipated. She sighed helplessly, "Leopold, I must be someone God is tired of, to be tormented by you like this."
Leopold chuckled, "I feel like you're the one tormenting me."
Otherwise, why would he be so helpless against her, always being the first to give in?
The car had been parked at the school gate for several minutes. Kevin had driven slowly enough, but the two in the back didn't seem to have any intention of getting out.
Kevin wanted to get out and smoke, but the snow and cold wind outside made him stay put.
Kevin decided that if Agnes could make Leopold go to work in a good mood today, he would definitely support Agnes unwaveringly in the future!
The two in the back were kissing passionately, completely unaware of Kevin's thoughts.
Agnes, nearly suffocating again, pushed Leopold away forcefully, "Leopold, didn't you say you didn't want me to be late for class? If I don't go now, I'll miss the whole class."
He held her hand, gently rubbing it, and exposed her lie, "You don't have class until ten this morning."
Having finally coaxed Agnes into a good mood, he wasn't about to let go easily. The loneliness of sleeping alone last night needed to be compensated for!
She felt a bit guilty. "But you have to go to work!" Wasn't the CEO supposed to be busy? Why was Leopold so free? Could it be that his business was struggling recently?
"My goddess is in a bad mood. I need to comfort her before I can leave with peace of mind," Leopold said.
Agnes couldn't help but laugh.
If she hadn't seen and heard it herself, Agnes would never have believed that the high and mighty Leopold would say such things.
His kiss landed on her ear, "So are you not angry anymore?"
