Chapter 110

The familiar voice made Agnes grit her teeth and blurt out, "I was just about to eat."

Leopold immediately recognized the resentment in her voice, and a low chuckle followed. Recalling how she looked beneath him last night, he couldn't help but say, "Agnes, you are the most delicious dish I've ever tasted."

"Leopold, you are so shameless!" Agnes was caught off guard by Leopold's sudden words and growled in frustration.

Leopold stopped laughing and said seriously, "Agnes, I want to come home now."

"Why?" she asked impulsively. "Is the company cafeteria food not to your taste?"

"Yeah, the cafeteria food isn't as good as 'you'. I want to taste 'you' again," Leopold replied.

Agnes had planned to go to the restaurant, but hearing Leopold start to be inappropriate again, she was afraid Eden and other maids might hear something they shouldn't, so she moved to the balcony. "Leopold, you're so bad! I don't wanna talk with you anymore!"

"Agnes, you're so tough, but, would you really do it?" Leopold asked.

Agnes angrily said, "Of course, I would! Leopold, you hypocrite, I'll expose your 'beastly' nature in front of your fans!"

The past two nights with Leopold had completely changed her perception of him.

In a careless moment, Agnes twisted her waist, causing her to grimace in pain. Before Leopold could speak, she scolded him, "Leopold, you jerk, it hurts so much!"

Hearing her wail like that, Leopold felt heartbroken. "Agnes, I'm sorry. I'll be more gentle tonight."

"Tonight? Leopold, I need a leave. I'm sleeping in the dorm tonight!" Agnes's face turned pale.

Leopold chuckled again. "Okay, I won't tease you anymore. Go get something to eat. See you at school this afternoon, okay?"

"Alright."

Sitting at the dining table, Agnes took advantage of the time Eden was preparing lunch to open WhatsApp, with message notifications constantly popping up.

She remembered that she posted a picture of her vanity table last night.

The comments were divided into two categories. One group was genuinely envious, like Clara commented: [Agnes, your vanity table is my dream come true.]

Bella: [Oh my, I'm getting more and more jealous of you. Is it right to flaunt it like this?]

Justin: [Being a powerful man's woman must be so nice. I wish I were a woman.]

Jeremy just silently liked the post without saying anything.

And dozens of other friends were full of envy.

The other group, however, was more sarcastic.

Grace commented: [Where did you get the picture from? I want to check it out too.]

Even Faith, who rarely commented on her Facebook, left a message: [Agnes, what's going on with you now? Don't do anything rash!]

Agnes knew that Faith had always looked down on her. Since they met, no matter what she posted, Faith never commented but often commented on Michael's Facebook.

Faith's words had a hidden meaning, Agnes understood. She was accusing her of having unclear sources of wealth.

With a cold snort, she replied to Faith: [Thanks for your concern, Faith. You misunderstood. I'm doing great and very happy now.]

Someone else jealously commented:  [What's there to show off? It's just $200,000 worth of cosmetics, not all top brands!]

She knew this person, her high school classmate. She replied: [You're right, just $200,000 worth of cosmetics, nothing to show off.]

If she really wanted to flaunt her wealth, she could have posted pictures of the car Leopold gave her worth millions of dollars and the skincare products she bought for Leopold. And those lipsticks Leopold gave her, she had deliberately covered the logos before taking the picture.

She was purely sharing out of happiness and excitement, okay? Anyway, no need to take them seriously.

Finally, she noticed a message from someone named H, sent at 9 PM last night: [Do you really want to go to Azure Haven that much?]

She replied without hesitation: [Of course!] Then she sent a smug emoji.

Eden and the maids set the lunch on the table. Agnes put down her phone and started eating. Suddenly, she thought of something and sent a text to Leopold: [Leopold, what's your WhatsApp account?]

Biting her fork, she opened Twitter and followed Leopold's account.

Leopold was really busy. His verified Twitter account had only posted two statuses, more than a year apart, both advertisements for ZL Group.

Even so, he had over ten million followers. This world was so unfair. She had posted over a thousand tweets, but her followers were only a little over a thousand.

Taking the opportunity, she searched for Ethan's Twitter and followed him. Ethan had millions of followers.

Then there was Kelly. Kelly's Twitter was verified as a fashion editor, no wonder Kelly always dressed so stylishly and elegantly!

Just as she was about to send Kelly a private message, Eden came out with a bowl. "Mrs. Neville, come eat. This is the soup I made this morning, have some."

Agnes still wasn't used to the address. "Eden, you can just call me Agnes. No need to be so formal!"

Since she moved into this villa, Eden had been taking care of her for over three years now, and their relationship had long surpassed that of employer and servant.

"Alright, Agnes, enjoy the soup," Eden said.

Agnes took the bowl of soup, blew on it to cool it down, and took a sip. The taste was a bit unusual. Seeing Eden smiling warmly, she curiously asked, "Eden, what kind of soup is this?"

"It's a special recipe I found. It's supposed to be very good for your health," Eden replied with a knowing smile.

Agnes almost choked on the soup. "Good for my health? What do you mean?"

Eden chuckled. "Well, they say it can help with fertility. Just thought you might like to try it."

Agnes sighed silently in her heart. "Eden, don't bother next time." The idea of having children seemed distant to her, after all, she was still in school.

However, a very serious question popped into her mind. Leopold had never taken any contraceptive measures, and neither had she.

With this thought, her mind suddenly went blank. She quickly finished the soup and hurriedly sent Leopold a message: [Leopold! I forgot to take a pill last night! Is it too late to fix it now?]

The previous message asking about WhatsApp hadn't been replied to yet, but this one got an instant response: [What pill?]

Agnes quickly searched online and sent him: [It's the morning-after pill!]

This time, Leopold called directly. "Agnes, don't you dare take that pill, do you hear me?" His voice was full of warning and threat.

"Why not?" Agnes was puzzled. Did he want a child?

"Why do you think?" Leopold pressed his temples in frustration and patiently explained. "Agnes, we're married. If we have a child, we'll keep it, okay?"

"But..." She stammered, unable to find a reason, and after a while, she finally said, "You like boys. What if I have a girl and you don't like her?"

Leopold was momentarily stunned by his past words. "I like both boys and girls." As long as it was her child, he would love it.

"But I haven't graduated yet!" Agnes protested.

"College students can get pregnant too," Leopold replied.

"But didn't you say you wanted me to study abroad next year?" Her voice carried a hint of grievance.

"If you get pregnant, I'll go with you," Leopold said.

"But..."

"No buts. What you need to do now is not take the pill but relax. No matter what happens in the future, I'll take care of it. You don't need to worry about anything."

"But..." Agnes wanted to say something, but in the end, she could only whisper, "I'm only 21. I'm not ready to be a mom." The word "mom" choked her up.

Having never experienced motherly love, she didn't know how to love her own child.

Leopold sensed her emotional turmoil and was silent for a moment. "If you really don't want a child right now, I'll take responsibility for contraception from today. But please, you can't take the pill!"

He knew the potential side effects of the medication.

His words flowed into her heart like a warm current. She rubbed her teary eyes and whispered, "Okay, give me some time, Leopold."

It wasn't that she didn't want a child, but she really wasn't ready. After all, she was only 21 and couldn't imagine how to face having a baby.

"Alright, Agnes, don't stress about it too much. We'll take things as they come. If we have a child, we'll keep it. But there probably won't be one since you're not in your ovulation period. I'll take care of things from now on, okay?" Leopold reassured her.

"Okay." Her eyes were red. She listened to his words, crying and laughing at the same time, feeling a bit silly.

'Thank you, Dad, for giving me the best Leopold in the world! Dad, do you know? I'm very happy,' Agnes thought.

In Leopold's class that afternoon, Agnes, like a fan, rested her chin on her hand and stared at Leopold on the podium. Justin, sitting next to her, got goosebumps and kept rubbing his arms. "Agnes, I didn't expect you to fall for him too. Stop staring, I'm afraid if you keep looking, he might think you want to 'get closer' to him."

Agnes slapped the back of Justin's head.

Realizing her overreaction, Agnes quickly lowered her head to read her book, pretending everything was normal. Unfortunately, it was too late. Her gaze kept following Leopold, and Leopold obviously noticed her too.

After a while, Leopold spoke, "The student in the tenth row, sixth seat from the north, please stand up and answer the question."
