Chapter 127

Regrettably, her mood was no longer the same as before, just like the scent on Michael had changed, and the initial excitement was nowhere to be found. Even the embrace she once cherished now felt dull and tasteless.

Time is truly a fascinating thing.

To create some distance between them, Agnes instructed the driver, "Stop the car!"

The driver glanced at Michael but remained silent. Without Michael's orders, he wouldn't dare act on his own.

Agnes's anger flared up immediately, and she growled at Michael, "I want to get out of the car!"

Instead of being displeased by her outburst, Michael gently reassured her, "It's quite cold outside. Let me take you home."

His thoughtfulness only made Agnes more agitated, and she resolutely refused, "No need, I don't want to go home right now. Let me out of the car! Michael, don't force me to jump out!"

From the moment she saw Leopold, who was supposed to be on a business trip, walking side by side with Lydia, Agnes's mood had plummeted. Not to mention hearing Lydia introduce Leopold as her boyfriend to Simon, and Leopold not even giving her a glance when he left. The anger in her heart was almost at its breaking point, ready to explode.

Michael reluctantly instructed the driver to stop the car. Without another word, Agnes opened the door, got out, and walked away without looking back.

Watching Agnes's stubborn figure, Michael rubbed his temples, wondering how he could get Agnes back by his side.

After getting out of the car, Agnes walked briskly down the street, eventually breaking into a run.

Seeing the outline of Justin's apartment complex, she called Justin, panting, "Hey, where are you? Let's go for a drink!"

"Agnes? Drinking? No, no, don't get me into trouble, I'm scared!"

"Justin! Are you drinking or not? If not, we're done!"

Sensing Agnes's anger, Justin suggested, "I'm celebrating a friend's birthday. How about we go to Wonderhaven Private Club?"

"Whatever!" As long as she could drink!

After agreeing on the location, they ended the call.

Agnes took a cab straight to Wonderhaven Private Club, ignoring multiple calls from Leopold along the way.

As she got out of the cab, her phone rang again. She answered it but remained silent.

Leopold, suppressing his emotions, asked in a low voice, "Where are you?"

"Outside." She paid the fare and walked towards Wonderhaven Private Club.

"I'll come pick you up."

"I..."

Agnes was about to refuse when she heard Lydia's familiar voice on the other end, "Leopold, the pasta is ready. Come eat while it's hot!"

Since Leopold was with Lydia, why bother calling her!

Fuming with anger, Agnes hung up on Leopold without saying another word.

On the other end, Leopold was left puzzled and confused.

Outside the club, Agnes put away her phone and, still fuming, was greeted by two well-dressed gentlemen.

"Ms. Tudor, welcome."

"Ms. Tudor, good evening!"

Forcing a smile, Agnes replied, "Hello, please prepare a private room for me. I have a friend coming over later."

"Yes, Ms. Tudor. You can go directly to Room 888, which is Mr. Neville's exclusive room. If he's not here, it's available." Since the club had been transferred to Agnes by Leopold, their relationship was clearly special, and using Leopold's room was no problem.

Agnes wanted to say something but sighed silently, stopping in her tracks to seriously address the two managers, "Don't always call me Ms. Tudor. You know the situation. The club might be returned to Mr. Neville someday. Just call me... um... Agnes!"

The two managers exchanged glances. One of them, whose name tag read Seth Ryan, smiled and said, "Agnes, you're joking. If you don't like it, we won't call you that anymore."

"Thank you. Please take me to the room."

She had to admit, Leopold knew how to enjoy life. Room 888, the most luxurious room in the club, was spacious and fully equipped with a tea room, karaoke machine, bridge table, wine cellar, gym, and lounge. It could easily serve as a second home.

Agnes stood in front of the wine cabinet for a long time, ultimately deciding against whiskey, feeling somewhat apprehensive. She casually pointed to two bottles of red wine for the manager to open. While waiting for the wine to breathe, she nibbled on a fruit platter and contacted Justin.

"Are you there yet? I'm in Room 888."

Justin was speeding in his purple Ferrari, slicing through the night on the asphalt road. "Room 888? Isn't that Leopold's exclusive room? Wait for me, I'll be there in two minutes!"

What should have been a five-minute drive, Justin shortened to two. With a sharp brake, the Ferrari came to a smooth stop at the entrance of Wonderhaven Private Club.

Inside the room, Agnes hadn't even taken a sip of her wine when Justin arrived. "So fast!"

Justin nodded nonchalantly and took a quick tour of the room. "Leopold sure is loaded! Look at this vase! Last time at the Lumina City auction, I heard some boss bought it for two hundred million dollars! Turns out it was Leopold! How could he just leave such a valuable thing here? And this painting, by that... what's his name, anyway, it's an original masterpiece."

Agnes handed him a glass of red wine and rolled her eyes, "Justin, you're supposed to be a rich second-generation from high society. How can you be so clueless? You look like you've never seen anything before, really embarrassing Leroy!"

Justin took a sip of the wine, his eyes lighting up. He picked up the bottle on the table and examined it closely. "This bottle of wine is from a private vineyard in '85, worth at least half a million dollars! Based on the region, year, and climate, it's definitely classier than an '82 Lafite!"

*Cough, cough, cough.* Agnes almost choked on her wine upon hearing the price! While Justin was touring the room, she had unknowingly downed three or four glasses, practically gulping them down, as her glass was filled to the brim!

Such a fine wine, and she drank it like that, oh my!

"Hey, you've already drunk half the bottle? How long have you been here?"

Agnes smiled, "Just about ten minutes! But I only started drinking when you walked in."

Justin was about to lose it, "Such a great wine, and you wasted it like this! Wouldn't Leopold be heartbroken if he knew? By the way, isn't Leopold on a business trip? Perfect, how about we try some whiskey? Look at his wine cabinet, limited edition vodka, limited edition whiskey, brandy... Agnes, let's not pick the most expensive one, how about a limited edition brandy?"

The temptation was too great, and for a moment, Justin completely forgot Leopold's warning.

What to do? Agnes blinked and thought for a moment. After all, it was Leopold's wine, drinking a bottle shouldn't be a big deal, especially since he was with Lydia now.

Mentioning Lydia, Agnes tilted her head back and finished her glass of wine, slamming the glass on the table. She made up her mind, "We're not leaving until we're drunk tonight, open the bottle!"

With Agnes's approval, Justin clapped his hands excitedly, "Alright!"

The brandy was opened in Justin's hands, and the aroma instantly filled the room.

The two of them drank merrily, toasting back and forth!

After two glasses, Agnes felt her mind go blank, all her worries seemed to drift away. This feeling was truly indescribable.

Justin, who could hold his liquor well, was still exploring Leopold's high-tech gadgets.

As the bottle emptied, Justin's phone rang. He showed the screen to Agnes, "Bella's calling."

With flushed cheeks, Agnes lazily asked, "What's she calling you for at this hour?"

"Not sure, I'll answer and see, maybe it's something urgent." Although Justin and Bella were on good terms, they weren't as close as he was with Agnes, but they were still friends!

Justin answered the call, and after Bella said something, he suddenly stood up from his chair, "Where are you? Agnes and I will be right there. Okay, got it!"

With a serious expression, Justin turned to Agnes, who was shaking her dizzy head, "What's wrong? What happened?"

"Bella's in some trouble, she needs us to go help. Let's go!"

Hearing that Bella was in trouble, Agnes instantly sobered up a bit. She downed the remaining wine, grabbed her coat, and hurried out of Wonderhaven Private Club with Justin.

Outside the club, Justin's Ferrari was parked not far away. As soon as he got into the driver's seat, Agnes yanked him out, "You drank, and you're still driving? Get out!"

"I'm fine, I can handle this much!" Justin was indeed in good shape, apart from a flushed face, he seemed perfectly normal.

Agnes insisted, "No way! Drunk driving? You want to go to jail? I don't want you ending up there. Let's take a cab together! Or call a driver!"

Agnes knew the law well enough. According to the law, driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol would result in criminal charges.

"A driver?" Justin looked helplessly at the two-seater sports car, "Do you want to sit in the trunk?"
