Chapter 179
Agnes glanced at Tiffany and Lydia in the living room and found that they completely ignored her presence. She couldn't help but frown. Were they not planning to do anything about Elliot's behavior?
Elliot blocked her way. "Agnes, why are you staring at them? Look at me, am I handsome or not?"
Agnes rolled her eyes and walked straight upstairs. "Do you want to hear the truth or a lie?"
Elliot followed closely behind. "Give me a lie first?"
"You're not handsome at all!" Agnes replied without hesitation.
Hearing this, Elliot chuckled to himself. He knew she was saying it on purpose, but he still wanted to hear her praise his looks. "What about the truth?" he asked, unwilling to give up.
Agnes turned to look directly at him. "The truth is you're not very handsome either!"
This time, Elliot was left speechless. Some maids downstairs couldn't help but laugh, and even the usually dignified Lydia covered her mouth and chuckled, looking at the extremely embarrassed Elliot.
Just as Agnes continued up the stairs, someone suddenly appeared from around the corner, startling her.
It was Jocelyn, who dressed impeccably as if she was about to go out.
Agnes forced a smile and greeted Jocelyn, "Aunt Jocelyn."
Jocelyn ignored her and instead looked at Elliot behind her, saying coldly, "You're so useless!"
Being publicly scolded made Elliot feel quite embarrassed. He had no choice but to lower his head and return to the living room, sitting down next to Tiffany. "Grandma, did you call me for something?"
Tiffany remained silent for a moment, and Lydia interjected, "I heard Grandma's bracelet is missing. No one has seen it, so we wanted to ask if you've seen it?"
"I haven't seen it," Elliot replied, running his hand through his messy hair, and took the opportunity of Jocelyn leaving to quickly escape upstairs.
As soon as Agnes entered her room and closed the door, there was a knock. She opened it to see Elliot and immediately closed it again.
But Elliot was quick and managed to wedge half his body inside, grinning. "Agnes, why close the door so quickly? At least let me all the way in first."
Faced with Elliot's thick-skinned behavior, Agnes felt utterly helpless. "What do you want?" she asked, opening the door again.
"Leopold left you alone at home, it must be boring. I just want to see if I could keep you company," Elliot explained with a playful smile, as if he was genuinely being considerate.
Agnes couldn't accept this 'kindness' at all. "Thank you for your kindness, but please leave. I don't need."
Sensing the situation wasn't right, Elliot, though slightly restrained, still insisted. "Come on, Agnes, let's give it a try together?"
Hearing this, Agnes was on the verge of breaking down, but she held back her retort. "Take one more step, and I'll push you down the stairs!" she warned, wondering how the Neville Family could produce such a terrible son like Elliot
knowing Agnes had some combat skills, Elliot finally stopped and suggested, "Living with someone as cold and heartless as Leopold is no fun. Why not consider marrying me? I guarantee you'll be happy every day! I'll go wherever you go."
Despite his persistence, seeing Agnes' firm attitude, Elliot had no choice but to retreat. For this scene, Agnes could only stand at the door and coldly give her final comment. "You think you can marry me with your malnourished body? Go get a gym membership and work out first."
"Why?"
"No why? Just work out. You need a body that can take a beating to handle your annoying personality!" Agnes said, starting to stretch, not wanting to waste more words with Elliot.
Seeing Agnes ready to take action, Elliot quickly slipped out the door. "Agnes, this is the Neville Manor. If you really start a fight, Uncle Gerald will definitely disapprove of you and Leopold even more. Think it over."
Agnes snorted, "Even if I don't hit you, he won't approve. Might as well take this chance to vent!" Before she finished speaking, she charged at Elliot.
Scared, Elliot screamed all the way back to his room, finally locking the door from the inside before she could catch him, leaning against the door, panting. Agnes was so barbaric! How could Leopold tolerate her?
'However, Agnes must be great in sex,' Elliot thought, swallowing hard.
After driving Elliot away, Agnes returned to her room. The Nevilles were truly strange, each person with a vastly different personality. For example, Tiffany was strict, Gerald had a fiery temper, Teresa was weak, Leopold was cold, Elliot was lewd, and Jocelyn was arrogant.
Dinner was still filled with a strange atmosphere, everyone with their own thoughts.
Fortunately, Gerald was absent due to some business, reducing the tension.
As usual, Lydia liked to make a fuss as soon as dinner started. "Leopold, I want that pizza, but I can't reach it." She looked at Leopold pitifully.
Agnes rolled her eyes dramatically. Lydia always eyed the food in front of Leopold. Clearly, she just wanted to get close to him.
Although everyone could see through it, no one dared to say anything. Tiffany always smiled at Lydia, looking quite pleased.
Hearing Lydia's words, Leopold put down his spoon, picked up a fork, and reached for a piece of pizza.
Just as he was about to get it, Agnes intervened, snatching the pizza and stuffing it into her mouth.
Then, no matter which piece of pizza Leopold reached for, Agnes quickly grabbed it and ate it herself. Fortunately, the pizzas were small and delicate, so Agnes had no problem eating several in a row.
With Agnes' series of actions, Tiffany and Lydia's expressions grew increasingly unpleasant, while Elliot struggled to hold back his laughter, his face blushing.
Teresa quietly had a servant bring a bowl of soup to Agnes.
Finally, worried that Agnes might choke, Leopold placed an entire plate of pizza in front of her and said to Lydia, "Lydia, Agnes loves pizza. You should eat something else."
Seeing Leopold protect her like this, Agnes smiled happily, and her heart melted with sweetness.
Lydia forced a smile. "It's okay, if Agnes likes it, let her have it. Leopold, try this." She placed a piece of meat on Leopold's small plate and had a servant bring it over.
Agnes thought to herself, 'How can there be so much drama at dinner? If Leopold sent Lydia to drama school, she would definitely become a big star.'
