Chapter 130
The moment he regained his freedom, Justin didn't say a word, immediately shut the door, and ran off without looking back.
In the car, Agnes watched Justin flee as if his life depended on it through the window, feeling bewildered and desperate. Did Justin just leave her with Leopold?
"Uh, goodbye, Justin, goodbye Bella, I'm so sleepy! I'll take a nap first!"
After saying that, she leaned her head against the car window and closed her eyes.
By the time they arrived at the villa, Agnes had really fallen asleep. It wasn't until the car door opened and the cold wind blew in that she groggily opened her eyes.
Soon, she found herself in a familiar embrace.
To avoid this disaster, she decided to play dumb.
"Leopold, is that you? Who am I? Where am I?"
Leopold remained silent.
Her heart skipped a beat, and then she started singing, "La la la la, I am a little sun... uh..." In the end, she couldn't hold it in and hurriedly ran to a tree, hugging the trunk tightly and throwing up.
A bottle of water was handed to her, and without looking, Agnes poured it into her mouth, rinsed, and took several big gulps before her stomach felt better.
A gust of cold wind blew, and as she shook her now clearer head, her eyes met Leopold's not far away. Startled, she dropped the bottle and began to tremble. She immediately stood up straight, "Leopold" was no longer appropriate, she should call him "husband" instead, "Husband, hello."
Leopold spoke in a deep voice, "Have you sobered up?" His handsome face was full of displeasure.
What to do? What to do? Agnes's mind raced, and she smiled and nodded, "Uh-huh, let's go back to sleep!"
Agnes took a step forward, but her right leg gave way, and she was about to kiss the ground when Leopold appeared just in time to catch her.
"Drunk like this, and you still want to walk alone?" Leopold's lips curled into a mocking smile.
Agnes covered her face, suppressing her anger for now, and said coquettishly, "Leopold, let's go home!" Oh no, the dizziness was coming back.
Leopold's gaze lingered on her bright lips, lost in thought.
"Leopold, why don't you plant me? Maybe tomorrow there will be a whole field of Agnes, and perhaps one of them will be obedient enough to make you happy!"
A whole field of Agnes? Like the unconscious one in front of him? Leopold felt troubled and rubbed his temples, his voice cold, "After junior year, I'll go abroad with you for your studies."
In this city, she sometimes acted too recklessly, leaving him helpless.
Studying abroad! That topic again! Agnes immediately got angry, "Throw me abroad? Accompany me? I think you're just eager to dump me and stay in Lumina City with Ms. Garcia and Ms. Fisher!"
The coldness around Leopold intensified, his thin lips pressed tightly together, and he remained silent.
Agnes raised her voice, "Say something, why aren't you talking, feeling guilty?"
"Not sending you away, leaving you in Lumina City to get back together with Michael?" His tone was devoid of any warmth.
Agnes's anger was instantly stuck in her chest. How did the argument turn to Michael? "Don't use your malicious thoughts to judge my kind heart, I have nothing to do with him!"
Calling him malicious? Leopold's last bit of patience snapped, and he grabbed her wrist, dragging her towards the villa.
Agnes was pulled so hard that she felt dizzy, but she still stubbornly said, "Let go! Don't pull me! I just had a little to drink! Not just any drink, I drank your precious collection! I drank it all, let's see what you do."
"Drank all your liquor, so you can't use it to woo girls, whiskey with Sprite, with beer, with cola."
"Bang!" The bedroom door closed with a bang, and Leopold loosened his tie, glancing at her muttering, "Whiskey with Sprite and cola, bad for the stomach and the heart; red wine with Sprite and cola, heart disease and diabetes will come knocking;"
Leopold threw his tie on the sofa and started taking off his suit jacket, followed by his shirt, "Whiskey with beer, duodenitis and stomach bleeding await you; red wine with beer, chronic alcohol poisoning is not far off;"
Agnes watched as the white shirt was thrown by the bed, followed by Leopold's bare chest coming into view. She swallowed hard, "Hey, talk properly, don't get physical." Agnes tried to suppress a scream, stammering, "Put your clothes back on first."
Put on clothes? He came back just to make love to her!
Ignoring her resistance, he pulled her into his arms, "So, you want to die? Hmm?"
"What?" She didn't react for a moment.
"If you want to die, no need to bother with those drinks, I can help you, I can make you disappear."
"Ah, Leopold is going to lose it! Help! Mmm mmm mmm."
Agnes regretted provoking Leopold at the door. After just a few days apart, she couldn't handle his combat power at all!
Just when Agnes thought she was done for, the room finally returned to peace.
She really wanted to point at Leopold and shout, "Beast." But she was too lazy to even lift a finger, so she decided to sleep first.
In a daze, she felt something cold on her fingertip, but she was too exhausted to investigate and soon fell into a deep sleep.
The next afternoon, Agnes looked around the empty bedroom in confusion. As far as she knew, Leopold had already arrived in the neighboring city that morning.
Don't ask her how she knew, with Kevin around, she knew everything about Leopold.
So, did Leopold travel over four thousand miles back and forth to play Lydia's boyfriend, or just to make love to her?
And then she noticed the huge diamond ring on her ring finger?
Who put it on? Leopold? When? How did she not notice at all?
Ouch! Headache, pain, pain, pain.
Lumina City University School of Economics and Management
Agnes clutched her chest, feeling weak as she walked into the campus. She had turned the ring on her hand into a necklace and hung it around her neck.
That ring, to be precise, was too big! It was too conspicuous.
She hung it around her neck, and even with a thick cashmere sweater, it still bulged out. Fortunately, it was winter, and with a scarf and down jacket, no one could see anything unusual.
But, honestly, who could act nonchalant with something worth millions or even billions of dollars hanging around their neck? At least not Agnes! From the villa to the school, she kept thinking about the "little gold mine" on her chest.
"Hey! Agnes!" A familiar voice called from behind.
She turned around to see Justin limping towards her, his face still bruised, though lighter than last night, but still clearly visible.
"I remember you didn't hurt your leg last night," Agnes said confidently.
Justin waved his hand in frustration, "It was Leroy, he kicked so hard, I'll get my revenge! By the way, why didn't you come to class this morning? Didn't Leopold give you a hard time?"
