Chapter 180

As soon as the maid placed the small plate in front of Leopold, Agnes quickly grabbed a piece of meat. Seeing Lydia's annoyed look, she waved the meat on her fork and said, "Sorry, Leopold is a bit of a germaphobe. If this meat isn't eaten, it will go to waste."

After saying that, she glanced at the meat and seriously added, "You're healthy, aren't you?"

Lydia was breathing heavily, looking somewhat flustered. "Agnes... what are you saying... I... I..."

Seeing Lydia suddenly breathing heavily, Tiffany realized something was wrong and immediately had someone help her catch her breath, her sharp gaze constantly sweeping toward Agnes.

"Enough! We're just trying to have a meal, why are you causing so much trouble?" Tiffany said sternly.

Agnes pouted, said nothing, and continued eating her own food.

Leopold put down his fork and called the butler, "Replace this dining table with an automatic one tomorrow."

"Yes, Mr. Neville," The butler responded and left.

Then, Leopold served some vegetables to Agnes and softly said, "Grandma, Agnes is also a junior. Don't make her feel neglected. Otherwise, over time, the psychological burden will be too much, and it won't be good for her fertility. Your wish to become a grandmother might have to wait."

Hearing this, Tiffany's face darkened. She glanced at the innocent Agnes, who simply blinked, not expecting Leopold to bring up this topic.

"Let's eat," Leopold said lightly, serving her more vegetables before starting to eat himself.

Seeing Lydia's breathing gradually stabilize, Tiffany also breathed a sigh of relief. After dinner, she asked Leopold to come inside and brought Lydia along.

Watching Lydia's smug look as she closed the door, Agnes made a face at the door and turned to go back to her room, only to unexpectedly bump into Jocelyn standing behind her.

Although Jocelyn was usually as cold as an iceberg, she was still an elder, and proper manners were necessary. "Hello, Aunt Jocelyn," Agnes quickly greeted.

Jocelyn just gave her a cold glance and said indifferently, "Accompany me to the hospital to visit your grandpa the day after tomorrow."

"What?" Agnes was extremely surprised, hardly believing it.

Jocelyn frowned, and her voice even colder, "Not going?"

"No, of course, I'll go," Agnes shook her head repeatedly. She just didn't expect Jocelyn to take the initiative to ask her to visit Billy.

After speaking, Jocelyn ignored her and left. Not long after, Leopold returned, just in time to see Agnes chatting enthusiastically with her friends online.

Justin was complaining about Leroy preparing to get married because his girlfriend was pregnant and mentioned that Peter was busy buying gifts. To avoid Leroy monopolizing the family assets, she was also thinking of quickly finding someone to marry to get a share of the benefits.

In response to this, Agnes replied: [Do you think Leroy cares about that?]

Then she received a "shut up" emoji in response and was reminded that Cecil, whom she had offended at the last gathering, had recently been arrested for committing a crime and sentenced to many years in prison.

Agnes was shocked, not expecting such an outcome.

At this moment, Leopold entered the room and saw Agnes lying on the bed, deep in thought. He hugged her from behind and gently kissed her long hair. "What's wrong? What are you thinking about?"

Agnes turned off her phone and mustered the courage to face Leopold. They looked at each other in a subtle posture.

Without thinking much, Agnes directly asked him, "Is it true that Cecil was sentenced to life imprisonment?"

"Cecil?" Leopold frowned slightly. "Which one are you talking about?"

"The man from the private gathering at Wonderhaven Private Club who argued with me," Agnes explained.

With her reminder, Leopold vaguely recalled the appearance of him. He had always been unwilling to personally deal with such people. "I left that matter to Leroy. If you want to know the details, I can ask him."

Agnes shook her head, then suddenly grabbed Leopold's ear. "Was Cecil really sentenced so heavily because of his criminal record?"

Leopold kissed her lips, took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed Leroy's number.

"Hey, Leopold, you finally remembered to call me? Ever since you got married, our gatherings have become less frequent!" Leroy's voice came through the phone, sounding particularly clear in the quiet room.

Leopold skipped the pleasantries. "What's the status of that Cecil you were looking into for me?"

"Which Cecil?"

"The one who caused trouble for Agnes at Wonderhaven Private Club!"

"Well. He is really not a good person. I contacted my friends at the police station, and they took him away that day," Leroy said.

After the call ended, Leopold casually tossed the phone aside. "Did you hear that?"

Agnes nodded, realizing that all those criminal records about Cecil were true. Being sentenced to life imprisonment was actually lenient for him. "Thank you."

Leopold hugged her tightly. "Anyone who dares to bully you, I will never let them go."

"Honey, you're the best!" Agnes kissed his cheek.

"It's rare to hear that," He said with a smile.

"What's wrong?" she asked back.

"Nothing," He replied, his eyes filled with a smile.

Agnes hugged his neck with a smile. "By the way, what did Grandma want to talk to you about? Is she still opposing us?"

"Yes." Leopold didn't hide it. "But don't worry, no matter what happens, I won't give up."

Hearing this, Agnes felt sweet inside. She pretended to be angry and grabbed his collar, straddling him and looking down at him, "You dare to give up, just try!"

Leopold looked at her with his hands behind his head, a slight smile on his lips, "I don't dare." This was the first time he said this, and he felt genuinely willing to say it from the bottom of his heart.

"Smart move!" Agnes rewarded him with a loud kiss and was about to send him off to work.

But Leopold suggested, "Let's put work aside for now and go for a walk together, how about that?"
