Chapter 103 Randy Appears
Inside the office building of the camp.
As everyone was quickly preparing to leave, Benjamin suddenly shouted, "We can't go out like this."
Alexander turned back at the sound.
"That guy named Tyler went out first. He wouldn't dare cause trouble in the camp, but he'll definitely have someone watching," Benjamin explained softly, "We need to be more discreet."
"Right." Andrew immediately nodded.
In the car.
Tyler dialed Brandon's number with a grim expression and said politely, "Mr. Hernandez, please don't tell my father about what happened last night."
"Tyler, I hope you understand that The VitaPharm Company belongs to everyone, not just your father," Brandon said bluntly, "God willing, in the future, our connections and efforts will be fully devoted to the company, not dealing with the damned issues caused by drunken brawls."
Tyler gritted his teeth. "It won't happen again."
"Your mouth might have suffered a severe injury; your speech is not very clear. Go to the hospital, and I wish you a speedy recovery," Brandon said before hanging up .
Tyler slammed the phone onto the seat and cursed, "Damn it, it was his suggestion to my dad to let Lucas oversee the equipment replacement. One day, I'll make sure he leaves the company with nothing."
Chris frowned at Tyler, hesitated for a moment, and then reminded him, "Mr. Young, we shouldn't keep watching the camp anymore because they know Emily, and they'll definitely find a way to escape. So, we should focus on Randy and continue looking for Todd. Robert hasn't shown up in this matter, and I think he might be..."
Tyler, who had nowhere to vent his anger, turned around and slapped Chris across the face, shouting, "If it weren't for you guys causing this mess, would I have been beaten by a soldier? You useless bunch. What's the point of the company giving you so many perks if you can't handle a small matter!"
Chris was stunned by the slap, his face turning red, veins bulging on his forehead as he looked at Tyler, fists clenched.
"What are you looking at? Are you not convinced? Am I wrong?" Tyler glared and asked.
Chris forcibly suppressed his emotions and responded in a low voice, "Mr. Young, I hope you understand that cooperation is mutual. If you had better options in Pine City, you wouldn't be giving us so many perks."
Tyler was taken aback by his response.
Chris looked at Tyler's face, feeling a strong urge to slap him back, but reason told him he had to endure.
From the incident where Robert pointed a gun at Chris and forced him to kneel, it was clear that Chris was someone who could make sacrifices and endure extreme situations. So, after a moment of silence, he immediately changed the topic. "Mr. Young, you should consider what I said."
Tyler cursed, immediately took out his phone, and dialed a number with a frown.
"Hello, Mr. Young."
"I asked you to do something, but it's been hours with no news. Are you disrespecting me?" Tyler asked harshly.
"I found out a long time ago, but I couldn't reach you last night," the other person replied, feeling wronged.
"Tell me, did you find out about that guy named Randy?" Tyler pressed.
"Yes, I did," the other person organized his words and then responded softly, "Randy has no relatives in Stardust City. He lives near Glimmeridge..."
In a dilapidated apartment building run by a relief agency in the city, Randy sat on a wooden chair, wrapped in a cotton coat, frowning as he looked at Todd and asked, "Why did you cause trouble? Weren't you doing well with the Anderson family?"
Todd took a bite of food, sipped some wine, and replied, "What's good about that? Do you know how strict the drug control is in Pine City now? I can barely make 10 dollars a day selling five boxes of medicine without getting into trouble. But if I do get into trouble, I could be in jail for years. And if things go south, I might even get killed by the Patrick family on the street."
Randy sighed and said nothing.
"Randy, even if we want to risk our lives, we need to make money that's worth it," Todd said, frowning again. "I feel like there's no future with the Anderson family. They'll be taken down by Terry sooner or later, so I might as well use this opportunity to make some money for myself."
"Yeah, these days, it's hard enough to survive on your own, let alone talk about loyalty to the boss." Randy nodded.
"Randy, we may not share the same last name, but we've been through a lot together," Todd said, emboldened by the alcohol. "I won't lie to you; I brought some money with me this time. Listen to me, quit your job at Glimmeridge, and let's do something else together. I'll provide the capital."
"I don't want to quit my job. I'm doing pretty well now." Randy was taken aback. "As long as I work hard, I have a stable income and don't have to worry about food and drink."
Todd was silent for a moment. "I want to deal in firearms, but I don't trust anyone else. If you want a better life, join me. I have connections in Pine City."
Randy fell silent.
"What are you thinking about?! Working at Glimmeridge will always be making money for the boss. If you want to live a decent life, you have to do something for yourself," Todd urged again, "Listen to me, quit your job, and let's make money together."
Randy put down his utensils. "How much capital do you have? Is it enough for this?"
"Not for big business, but it's definitely enough to start small."
"Alright, let's do it together," Randy said, slapping his thigh. "If it doesn't work out, we can always go back to work at Glimmeridge. The leadership there has a good relationship with me. If I want to go back, it's just a matter of a word from him."
"Why are you thinking it won't work before we've even started?" Todd said, exasperated. "You have to believe that we can do it."
"Right, we can do it. Let's do it." Randy raised his glass. "I'll go back to Glimmeridge later to say goodbye to the boss and pick up some things."
Todd was taken aback. "Why go back? Just call him."
"My share for this month is still at Glimmeridge. I have to go back and get it."
"Don't go back," Todd said, worried. "A lot of people in Pine City know we're close. I'm afraid they'll come looking for you."
"Don't worry, I'll just go get the money and say goodbye. It won't take more than an hour," Randy said nonchalantly, "Besides, I'll have someone drive me there. They won't be able to track me."
"Be careful. The Anderson family is desperately looking for me right now."
"What are you afraid of? This is Stardust City. Even if they show up, they wouldn't dare do anything to me in Glimmeridge," Randy said, raising his glass. "Come on, let's drink, and I'll go later."
By evening, Randy had a friend from Glimmeridge drive him back, wearing a baseball cap and keeping a low profile.
In a lodging house opposite Glimmeridge, Robert was about to contact Alexander when his phone suddenly rang.
"Hello?I'm playing cards in Glimmeridge," Robert said.
Matt replied softly, "That guy Randy is back."
