Chapter 14 Successfully Captured

Second floor, indoors.

Alexander didn't have time to waste with Daniel. He went up and smashed the butt of his gun on Daniel's head. John cuffed Daniel immediately. "Move, hurry up."

Alexander yanked Daniel and hurriedly shouted down the stairs, "Don't bother chasing the others. Take the ones we've caught and go immediately. Don't waste any time."

As Alexander shouted, John, along with the others, dragged Daniel out of the storefront. Outside, Robert, who was being pinned down, bit Eric's hand like a madman and yelled, "Grab a weapon! Those cops are here again!"

As soon as the commotion started on the street, the nearby drug dealers immediately rushed out with weapons. But Alexander had already made arrangements before coming. Seeing Robert open his mouth to shout, he swung the butt of his gun in a wide arc and smashed it into Robert's mouth with a bang.

Robert rolled on the ground in pain, spitting out two front teeth and bleeding from a gash on his lip.

"Go through the side." Alexander crossed the road behind the storefront, urging, "Hurry up, just taking 11 pounds of illegal drugs is enough to convict them. Why are you carrying boxes? Are you stupid?"

The clueless Richard, hearing this, dropped the box and grabbed two bags of antiviral drugs, quickly running into the alley across the road.

On the street, a crowd of dozens surged toward them. Alexander fired three shots at the crowd, but they still didn't disperse and charged forward like madmen, firing back.

"These drug dealers are crazy." Alexander stuck at the alley entrance, saw that his shots couldn't control the situation and immediately turned to run.

Seconds later, just as they crossed the narrow alley, they heard the screeching sound of brakes. "Get in the car."

Richard and Thomas, driving two vehicles, shouted as they opened the doors. Alexander and the others didn't dare delay, shoving Robert, Daniel, and two accomplices into the police truck and jumping into the back.

The police vehicles in Black Street District came in two types: a seven-seater SUV and a five-seater pickup with a cargo bed. Only high-ranking officers like Samuel had the privilege of riding in sedans, which were rarely seen on patrols. In these times, practicality was key. Resources were limited. However, the practical design of the police vehicles, with at least a cargo bed to sit in, meant everyone could fit in.

Once everyone was in, Richard floored the gas pedal, speeding toward the outskirts of Maple Street. As the two vehicles sped away, gunfire continued almost non-stop.

The cars were riddled with bullet holes, and the two Niroshtan brothers sitting on the outside were all injured to varying degrees.

"Don't worry about it. If anyone blocks the way, just run them over," Alexander shouted from the truck bed. Richard didn't dare to look straight ahead, keeping his head low over the steering wheel.

After running over several people, the crowd finally began to disperse. After speeding through the Maple Street for about a minute, they finally broke free.

Alexander wiped the sweat from his face, looking back at the crowd still chasing them, and sighed. "If this place isn't managed well, the future development of Pine City is uncertain."

Just as he finished speaking, Alexander felt a sharp pain in his head. "Impressive, Alexander!" John slapped Alexander on the shoulder and shouted, "You've got guts. That was a great spur-of-the-moment decision."

Alexander frowned at him but said nothing.

Around ten o'clock at night, inside the police headquarters.

After getting his injured hand stitched up in the infirmary, Alexander walked into the interrogation room. Robert sat lazily on the floor, glancing at Alexander. "You're in trouble. Within three hours..."

Alexander lifted his foot and brutally kicked Robert in the head. Robert's head hit the wall, making him dizzy.

"Five hundred people can't do anything, right? In Maple Street, you're the toughest, right?" Alexander cursed and kicked Robert in the head seven or eight times until he passed out, bleeding from his nose and convulsing.

"Get some cold water and cool him down," Alexander shouted to Richard. Richard didn't hesitate, fetching a bucket of dirty water with ice chunks from the bathroom and pouring it over Robert's head.

After about half a minute, Robert's eyes regained focus. Alexander stepped on Robert's leg, bending down to ask, "Do you enjoy watching frog jumps?"

Robert, now looking terrified, didn't dare to speak.

"Kneel!" Alexander suddenly shouted. Startled, Robert tried to back away. "I ask you to kneel." Alexander pointed to the ground, eyes wide with anger.

Robert, confused, stammered, "Don't make it too far, okay?"

Hearing this, Alexander immediately lifted his right leg. Before the kick landed, Robert quickly got up and knelt on the floor. "Kneel and do frog jumps. If I'm not satisfied, you can't stop. If you stop, I'll kick you." Alexander grabbed Robert's hair and said slowly, "Understand?"

Two minutes later, Robert gritted his teeth and started doing frog jumps on his knees. "A hero won't be scared by difficulties. I accept it."

Outside the room.

"Working overtime for the interrogation tonight?" Eric asked. "No need. Go to sleep if you need to." Alexander shook his head. "We'll wait until the morning. First, interrogate those two accomplices for evidence. Otherwise, Robert and Daniel won't reveal anything. These two aren't new to this."

"Got it." Eric nodded, then asked, "Are you going back to your new place? I can drive you."

"No, I'll stay here tonight." Alexander shook his head. "I'll make do for the night and get to work in the morning."

"Alright."

After exchanging a few words, Alexander turned and went to the washroom.

At a certain entertainment venue in the Black Street District.

William answered the phone, looking a bit surprised. "Really? Alexander led a team to Maple Street and succeeded. He actually surprised me."
