Chapter 67 Twin Stars Shine on River State (Part 2)

Eli Hayes observed Alexander coldly for a while before looking down to take out his phone.

Around four o'clock in the morning,

Two hybrid cars stopped in front of the Velvet Sky Club. Coco, wearing a wool coat, got out of the car, flaunting her seductive figure as she walked towards the main entrance. Holding a phone, she spoke urgently, "Yes, Eli called me. He said he had found out about Alex. Uh-huh, I'm here now, about to meet him. Okay, talk soon."

After hanging up, Coco was about to lead her people up the steps when Alexander came out from the inner door with Eli, casually wrapping an arm around her neck.

"Hey, beauty, we meet again."

"Yeah." Coco looked at Alexander, her eyes filled with surprise.

"I told him to call you," Alexander pointed at Eli and continued, "Don't blame him. I threatened him with Alex."

"What do you want?" Coco asked calmly, her face showing no panic.

"Talking on your turf makes me uneasy. How about we go somewhere else to chat?" Alexander asked with a sly grin.

Coco pondered for a moment. "What if I don't go?"

"Then Alex is gone!"

"If Alex is gone, your friend is gone, too."

"I have other leverage," Alexander whispered in Coco's ear, "I have a guy from the Baker family in River State."

Coco was stunned.

"I caught him under your name." Alexander smiled. "Wanna see him?"

"It's hard to believe you without proof."

Alexander waved towards a distant car.

Eric rolled down the car window and revealed Tim's head.

"Do you believe me now?" Alexander asked.

Coco glanced at the car, her surprise fleeting as she saw Tim. "Fine, he's worth coming with you."

"Let's go."

"Take your hand off me." Coco pointed at Alexander's arm.

"No way, I need you to protect me." Alexander immediately pressed a gun against Coco's waist.

Coco endured, turned to her people, and instructed, "Bring out the guy I caught and wait for my call."

"Boss, you can't go with him!" the driver tried to persuade.

Coco waved calmly. "It's fine. Even if we can't reach an agreement, they won't beat up a girl like me."

Alexander smirked. "Don't call yourself a girl. You don't look that young."

"Let's go!" Coco smiled.

Half an hour later.

In an unknown wasteland in River State, the car stopped. Coco got out with Alexander, teasing, "You're pretty smart, using Eli to lure me out first?"

"We're not familiar with the situation here in River State." Alexander rubbed his hands and cursed, "We just got here and are already taking the blame for others. I have to be careful."

Coco didn't respond.

Alexander glanced around, walked to the back of the car, and opened the trunk.

A strong smell of blood filled the air, causing Coco to frown slightly.

Alexander opened the black bag and said, "We have tried our best, but he still died."

Coco glanced at Alex's body, her eyes turning cold instantly.

"See, I didn't call you directly because I was afraid you'd overthink," Noticing Coco's expression, Alexander quickly explained, "His death has nothing to do with us."

"Explain it." Coco wasn't afraid of Alex's body. She even covered his head with the bag.

Alexander organized his thoughts and explained everything in detail.

After listening, Coco was surprised. "Alex was caught by Tim?"

"Yeah. Why else would I bring him back?" Alexander nodded. "I couldn't save Alex, but Tim proves it wasn't our fault."

Coco glanced at Tim, who was gagged in the car, then paced around before saying, "I'll release your friend soon. Let's end this."

"That's not gonna work." Alexander shook his head. "I came to take over the drug business."

"I never agreed to let Alex continue the business in Pine City." Coco calmly refused, "It's too chaotic there, with too many people having a say. After Paul was gone, the Patrick family kept investigating his supply channels. I don't want to take the risk now. Besides, with Alex gone, there's no one to handle Pine City."

Alexander frowned. "If we don't sort out the drug business, the three of us can't return to Pine City."

"That's your problem," Coco said shortly, "Give me Tim, and I'll release your friend. That's the end of it."

Alexander sighed and pointed at Coco. "You still don't get it?"

"What?"

"If you give up the Pine City business, Tim won't go with you."

"You don't care about your friend's life?" Coco sneered.

"I said, if we can't secure the drug trade, the three of us can't return to Pine City." Alexander coldly pointed at Coco. "If you refuse to cooperate, I'll take Tim away! He just told me he can do the business you don't want to."

Coco was stunned.

"Why did Alex die? You think I don't know?" Alexander stared at Coco, gritting his teeth. "The Baker family also wants in on the drug trade. You have conflicts, right?"

Coco remained silent.

"If you don't take Pine City's market, the Baker family will," Alexander added, "Now, I need a yes or no. Will you supply us with the drugs? If not, I'll take Tim away!"

"Don't you care about your friend's life at all?"

"One person dying is better than all three of us," Alexander responded coldly.

Coco pondered for a while, then asked, "Aren't you afraid I'll go back on my word after getting Tim?"

"Do you think I'm stupid? If you don't supply Pine City, do you think I'll hand over Tim?"

Coco crossed her arms and tapped her toes. "You're smarter than Paul!"

"I'm just more desperate than him," Alexander replied helplessly.

"Alright, you've convinced me." Coco pointed at Alexander's chest. "But I'm agreeing not because I'm afraid of the Baker family taking our market."

Alexander was taken aback.

"I value that you two managed to snatch Tim." Coco smiled. "Cooperation depends on the people."

"You won't regret it." Alexander realized Coco might have already intended to agree to the drug deal before coming, but she was testing if he could handle it properly.

After exchanging glances, Coco suddenly smiled. "Your words were a bit hurtful."

"What?" Alexander was confused.

"Here!" Coco took out her phone and handed it to Alexander.

Alexander was stunned, then realized the phone was on a call.

"The call is connected. Speak," Coco reminded.

Alexander frowned and answered, "Hello?"

"Fuck! I misjudged you. You talk about brotherhood, but you sold me out. Saying one person dying is better than three! Fuck! Why don't you go die?" Andrew cursed angrily, "I see you clearly now."

Alexander broke into a cold sweat, covering the phone and walking away. "Are you stupid? That was a negotiation! I had to scare her. You don't understand!"

"I'm hurt, and not easy to console. Go away, don't talk to me." Andrew hung up angrily.

"Idiot!" Alexander cursed, rolling his eyes.

By the car, Coco opened the door and peered inside. "Mr. Baker, you're awake."

Tim looked at Coco, his eyes filled with fear.
