Chapter 105 Confession in 60 Seconds
In the speeding car.
Robert grabbed Randy's hair and asked, "Where's Todd?"
"Dude, don't pull my hair. Let's talk this out." Randy struggled to sit up straight.
"I'm asking you. Where's Todd?" Robert shouted, eyes wide.
"Who's Todd? I don't know him," Randy said, his body contorted and his breath heavy.
"Don't know him, huh?" Robert gritted his teeth and stabbed Randy in the left thigh.
Blood gushed out, splattering all over Matt's right side.
"Fuck, if you have the guts, kill me!" Randy shouted, eyes wide.
Robert suddenly moved the knife to the left, and with a ripping sound, Randy's crotch was instantly slashed open.
"What are you doing?" Randy panicked immediately.
"Is the knife cold?" Robert asked, eyes wide. "If I move it again, you'll lose your genitals."
Sweat beaded on Randy's forehead as he swallowed hard.
"You know why I'm looking for you," Robert said fiercely, "I came all the way from Pine City, not for some petty grudge. If you don't tell me, I'll still find him!"
"Bro, just move the knife away."
"I'm asking you one last time, where's Todd?" Robert suddenly roared, "Last chance!"
"I... he... Bro, just move the knife away."
Robert lifted the knife, aiming it at Randy's crotch.
"Don't stab, don't stab, I'll tell you, I'll tell you," Randy shouted in despair, "He's at my house, at my house, don't stab."
"How many people are with him at your house?"
"Just... just himself." Randy might not be afraid of Robert stabbing him a few times or even becoming disabled, but he was definitely terrified of losing his genitals. So, he responded in a panic.
"How do we get to your house? Hurry up and tell us," Matt urged.
"Turn left up ahead," Randy stammered.
In the city, behind a butcher shop.
Benjamin checked his gun before turning around and saying, "Matthew, give him the money."
Matthew pulled out cash and handed it to a stranger. The man took the money, checked it carefully, and then smiled. "How big of a deal are you planning in Stardust City, buying guns twice in three days?"
"Why are you asking so clearly?" Benjamin frowned.
"Just curious," the man smiled and said softly, "Alright, that's it. I have more goods, call me anytime if you need more."
Benjamin glanced at him and then said, "Let's go."
The group followed Benjamin away.
Inside Randy's house.
Todd, who had been waiting, was gradually losing patience. When he couldn't reach Randy by phone, he started to panic.
Sitting on the bed, Todd pondered for a while, then immediately used the phone to look up the reservation number for Glimmeridge and dialed it.
After a few dozen seconds, the call connected. "Hello, this is Glimmeridge."
"Hello, I'm looking for Randy."
"This is the reservation line. If you're looking for Randy, call his cell phone."
"Sorry, I can't get through his phone. I'm his friend and it's urgent. Can you help me find him?" Todd asked politely.
"I haven't seen him today."
"Can you check? He told me this morning that he was coming back," Todd said patiently, "Please, beauty, it's really urgent."
"Alright, hold on."
"Okay."
After about three minutes, the person picked up the phone again. "Are you still there?"
"Yes."
"Randy has already left."
"How long ago?"
"A while ago."
Todd frowned and thought for a moment before saying, "Alright, I got it. Thanks."
"No problem." The receptionist hung up.
Inside, Todd checked the time again, then suddenly stood up and quickly started getting dressed.
In the car.
Robert dialed Alexander's number and said, "Where are you?"
"We're eating," Alexander replied quietly, "Benjamin went to get the guns, and we're waiting for him."
"I've got Randy." Robert got straight to the point. "He confessed in less than 60 seconds."
Alexander was stunned, put down his utensils, and asked, "Why didn't you tell me you were going to act?"
"I tried calling you, but your line was busy." Robert frowned. "Besides, it was just grabbing him, no need to discuss it."
"He confessed, right?"
"Yes." Robert nodded.
Alexander stood up and quickly responded, "Give me the address, and I'll head over right now."
"There's no time for that." Robert shook his head. "I'm already close to Randy's house. How about this? You contact Samuel and have him arrange for a border crossing. Once I catch Todd, we'll leave immediately. We can be in Pine City in less than two hours."
"You mean to act on Todd now?"
"Yes." Robert nodded. "I asked Randy, he said Todd is alone at home."
"No!" Alexander shook his head. "Wait until we all get there, it's safer that way. You know we ran into Chris and the pharmaceutical company people yesterday. They already know we're in Stardust City, understand?"
At the entrance of the Glimmeridge's break room.
A young man in a black uniform asked breathlessly, "Did Randy come back just now?"
"Yeah, he came back to quit and pick up his stuff," replied a guy playing on his phone in the lounge.
"Fuck, I saw him at the door just now," the young man said, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Three or four guys grabbed him and took him into a car."
"Impossible. We just saw him off at the door."
"He was grabbed near the parking spot."
"Why didn't you help? Why did they grab him?" Randy's colleague stood up.
"How could I help? They had knives and guns. I was lucky to run away, or they would have grabbed me, too," the young man said, still shaken.
As they were talking, the manager who had helped Randy with his paycheck walked over and asked, "What are you talking about? Who got grabbed?"
"Randy," the young man replied, "He probably took something he shouldn't have and got targeted."
"I'll call Randy later. You guys get back to work, no more chatting," the manager scolded and walked away.
Less than two minutes later, the manager stood in an empty stairwell, nodding and bowing as he said, "Yes, I heard he was grabbed at the door, but I don't know the details."
