Chapter 111 Benjamin, Don't Panic, There Is Still a Way
Inside the construction site.
Decisive Benjamin used the simplest and most direct method to intimidate all the thugs on the other side. Plus, the not-so-popular Tyler had already been shot dead with three bullets, so the guys on the other side basically didn't resist. When Andrew, Matthew, and others rushed in, they all put down their guns.
Alexander glanced at the situation inside the construction site, immediately turned around to look outside, and saw cars speeding towards them from a distance. He quickly turned back and ordered, "Quick, let's go. Let's go first and talk later."
In the crowd, Robert stared blankly at the hunched Benjamin, saying nothing.
Benjamin looked at the brutally killed Carl with a twitching mouth, bent down to help Matt up, and also said nothing.
"Get them up, quickly." Andrew waved and called out.
Hearing this, everyone lifted Robert and Carl's body, turned around, and was about to run to the back of the construction site. At this moment, Alexander immediately shouted, "Take Tyler's body, too, and take all the other thugs."
Andrew paused and turned back. "Tyler's dead. Why take them?"
"Hurry up; Just do what I say."
"The car can't fit."
"You guys get in the car, Matthew, you take two more people, and we'll run to the left side," Alexander quickly ordered, "Fire a shot every 30 feet, and draw the remaining people over. Hurry."
Benjamin was silent for a moment, then turned around and responded, "Listen to Alexander."
Everyone followed the orders.
A few seconds later, sporadic gunshots rang out at the construction site, and those thugs who had lost contact with Tyler drove over in pursuit.
Two minutes later, Alexander led Matthew and the others around the tens of thousands of square feet of construction site twice, then reversed their jackets, stopped firing, and left calmly.
In the Car
Benjamin remained silent.
Robert, semi-conscious, raised his arm and grabbed Benjamin's thigh.
After a long silence, Robert broke down emotionally, crying blood tears, and said, "Uncle Benjamin, I was wrong. I got Carl and Arthur killed. You were right. I'm nothing. I'm useless."
Benjamin lowered his head, grabbed Matt and Robert's wrists with his left and right hands, respectively, and replied in a steady voice, "I'm this old, Yo. can't always rely on me."
Hearing this, Robert burst into tears.
Late Night, in the Wilderness Outside Stardust City
Alexander stood beside half a meter of snow, smoking a cigarette with Benjamin.
After a long silence, Benjamin finally looked up and said, "Alexander, after all this time, you still can't support the Anderson family. I feel quite guilty towards you."
Hearing this, Alexander frowned and replied, "Benjamin, you shouldn't have killed Tyler."
"If I didn't kill him, the other side wouldn't submit. With the gunshots, if the remaining thugs caught up, it would be hard for us to escape," Benjamin responded calmly.
"True."
Alexander sighed and nodded helplessly.
"Don't worry. Even though Tyler is dead, the matter will fall on the Anderson family. No matter how big the commotion outside, I won't implicate you kids," Benjamin responded in a low voice, "You, Andrew, and Matthew should leave later."
Alexander took a puff of his cigarette. "What are you planning to do?"
"Honestly, I haven't decided." Benjamin nodded. "But for now, let's get Robert and Matt out of the district. Whether they can escape depends on fate."
"What about you?"
"Even if I die, I have to die on Maple Street," Benjamin responded without hesitation, "The people of Maple Street have always supported me. I can't leave with a reputation for selling fake drugs. Even if I can't prove my innocence, I'll accept the punishment for the sake of the people of Maple Street."
Alexander stared at Benjamin, nodding. "Benjamin, I respect you."
"We met too late. If it had been a few years earlier, we might have actually accomplished something." Benjamin smiled.
Alexander looked at his aged face and, after a long silence, said, "Benjamin, we haven't necessarily lost yet."
Benjamin was stunned. "What do you mean?"
"There's still a way."
"Impossible! Todd is dead, the fake drug issue can't be explained," Benjamin replied, looking at Alexander, "Plus, with Tyler dead, The VitaPharm Company will definitely be anxious, and they're not on the same level as Terry. In fact, if Tyler's dad says a word, even Samuel might be punished."
"Tyler is dead, who knows?" Alexander suddenly asked with a smile.
Hearing this, Benjamin was momentarily stunned.
"Benjamin, I respect the way you handle things. I'm willing to work with you again," Alexander said seriously.
Benjamin came to his senses and immediately asked, "So what do you suggest?"
"Find the gun dealer and get Robert and Matt's wounds treated first," Alexander instructed in a low voice, "Get the doctor over, and when he arrives, grab him and don't let him leave."
"I understand." Benjamin nodded.
"We can't let any of Tyler's men we brought back go," Alexander reminded again, "No matter how troublesome, we have to control them."
"The news of Tyler's death can't be leaked," Benjamin asked tentatively.
"Right." Alexander nodded.
Benjamin frowned, thought for a moment, and asked, "What about the rest?"
"The rest depends on this." Alexander took out Tyler's phone from his pocket. "We'll wait for a call."
Benjamin blinked and immediately nodded. "Alright, let's wait."
About Forty Minutes Later
While Benjamin was contacting the gun dealer, Alexander's phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
"Everyone, be quiet," Alexander said seriously, waving at the crowd.
By the car, everyone turned to Alexander and fell silent.
Alexander wiped the sweat from his palms and pressed the answer button, "Hello?"
The other side was silent.
"Terry, or Mr. Young?" Alexander asked with a smile.
The other side still didn't speak.
"Don't want to talk? Then I'll hang up."
"Where's Tyler?" Terry's voice came through.
"You tell me who you are first, then we can talk," Alexander responded in a deliberately relaxed tone.
"I'm Terry."
"Mr. Patrick." Alexander nodded. "Do you want Tyler?"
"Don't talk nonsense," Terry's voice was grim.
"Then I want Todd," Alexander replied with a smile.
"Todd is dead, do you want his body?" Terry responded, trying to suppress his anger.
Alexander scratched his head. "Without Todd, we can't explain the fake drug issue."
Terry responded in a low voice, "You're not qualified to talk to me. Let Benjamin answer the phone."
"Forget it, since Todd is gone, I want Chris," Alexander said calmly, "In two days, I'll give you the time and place, and you let Chris come over. If he doesn't come, I'll have to send Mr. Young to you in an urn."
After speaking, Alexander immediately hung up and turned off the phone.
"Tyler didn't even get to talk to him, will he believe it?" Andrew immediately asked.
Alexander responded with a smile, "The boss's son is kidnapped. Does Terry dare not believe it?"
When Andrew heard this, his eyes lit up. "Impressive, using a dead man."
"Why wait two days? Isn't that too long?" Matthew asked, a bit worried.
Alexander put the phone back in his pocket, turned around, and responded, "The two days aren't for us. They're for Terry. I want to use a dead man to make them fight among themselves first."
