Chapter 119 Betrayed?

Alexander paused for a moment before continuing, "Chris, I may have less experience than you, but if I can handle this for Benjamin, I'm definitely not a fool. Terry's people andThe VitaPharm Company's people are all around. If I go out there clueless, I won't survive."

Chris frowned in thought.

"It's all very obvious. What are you still thinking about?" Alexander reminded with a frown, "Let me be straight with you. You're here to clear up the fake drug issue. If you cooperate, we can let bygones be bygones; if you don't, I can't stop Benjamin from wanting to shoot you for revenge. What will it be? You decide."

Chris turned around with the phone in hand, eyes fixed in Terry's direction, and said in a low voice, "Both sides are watching me. It's hard for me to make a move."

Alexander was taken aback.

"First, tell me how to find you," Chris added in a low voice, "I'll also think about what you just said."

Alexander frowned in thought, not responding immediately.

"Stop pretending, you never intended to switch people here." Chris quickly adapted to Alexander's pace. "So, how do I get there?"

After pondering for a while, Alexander immediately gave instructions over the phone, "Keep the phone with you, walk 1000 feet down the road, and take the left turn at the fork."

"Got it."

"Chris, you only have one life, it's not worth giving it up for anyone," Alexander said with a frown, "If the guys following you keep tailing, I won't show up."

With that, he hung up.

In the wasteland.

Alexander turned and called out to Andrew, "Go to the fork and tell Benjamin not to make a move yet."

"Got it." Andrew nodded.

Meanwhile.

Chris stood under the exit sign, looking in Terry's direction for a moment before turning and walking away.

In the alley.

Raymond frowned and reminded, "Did you see that? Chris just took a call."

"I saw," Terry said with a complex expression, "Chris took a call. Why didn't he press the talk button on the mic?"

"I'm puzzled, too. What's he up to?" Raymond was also uncertain.

"Boss."

At that moment, Enrique ran over from behind and urgently asked, "Our people are in the field and the alley, should we follow Chris now? If he keeps walking, he'll be out of our sight."

After pondering for a while, Terry immediately waved and instructed, "The other side definitely wants to work on Chris's mindset, but the road is too open, no cars or people around. If you follow him, you'll be completely exposed."

Raymond looked up at the road and responded softly, "Have the two cars behind us take a detour and meet Chris head-on."

"Alright." Terry nodded.

"I'll handle it," Raymond replied and quickly left the alley.

Enrique stood nearby, frowning. "Boss, Chris wouldn't have other plans, would he?"

Terry clenched his fists, his face serious, and he didn't respond.

On the road.

Chris walked along the left side at a moderate pace, occasionally looking back.

A few minutes later, Chris arrived at the fork and paused.

In his earpiece, Raymond's voice kept coming through, "Chris, say something! What did the other side tell you? Tell me!"

Chris turned and scanned the surroundings, remaining silent.

"Hello? Hello, Chris, can you hear me? Say something!"

"Chris, what do you mean? If you don't talk, how can we protect you? What if we lose you?"

Raymond called out seven or eight times in the earpiece, but Chris didn't respond.

At the fork, Chris wiped the sweat from his forehead, picked up the phone Alexander gave him, and decisively dialed.

A few seconds later.

"Hello?" Alexander's voice came through.

"If I enter the fork, can I shake off the people behind me?" Chris asked.

"Yes." Alexander nodded. "Ahead is the Stardust City civilian supply warehouse. There are many alleys around."

"Where are you?" Chris asked again.

"I'm in one of the alleys here."

"Don't lie to me. Once I shake off the people behind me, Terry will know my intentions," Chris reminded him coldly, "If I die, no one can clear Benjamin's name regarding the fake drugs."

"From now on, don't hang up I gave you, and we'll meet in the alley," Alexander responded firmly.

"Alright, let's deal with Terry together," Chris said, holding the phone in his left hand and reaching for his collar with his right, pulling off the earpiece and mic, and tossing them into the snow. "I threw the earpiece, you should be able to see it."

Alexander covered the phone and said to Andrew, "Ask Matthew if he threw the earpiece."

"He did," Andrew replied, holding a connected phone.

Alexander released the phone and immediately said to Chris, "Turn left into the fork and keep running. I'll pick you up."

With that, Chris didn't hesitate, turned, and ran into the fork, disappearing into the night.

In the car, Raymond heard the busy signal in the earpiece and cursed angrily, "Damn Chris, he's been persuaded by the other side."

"Bro, what do we do now?" the driver asked urgently.

"What else? Chase him, don't let Chris get away," Raymond shouted into the earpiece, "Draw your guns and get ready to shoot."

With that, the car phone rang, and Raymond quickly answered, "Terry, Chris has been persuaded by the other side."

Terry was stunned and immediately shouted with red eyes, "You must keep an eye on him. No matter what Chris plans to do, we can't let him meet the other side."

"He has entered the fork. I'm chasing him."

"Tell everyone to move, no more hiding," Terry shouted into the phone to Enrique, "Hurry up."

A few seconds later, six or seven cars rushed out of the alley and headed towards the fork.

On the unnamed road.

Chris, panting, looked back at the main road and asked into the phone, "They're catching up. How much further until I see you?"

"Keep running. I can see you. Don't panic," Alexander reassured, "Once you enter the warehouse area, you'll see a sign, and we're nearby."

"Alexander, once I run, I can't go back to Terry," Chris said, pale-faced, "Don't screw me over, or the fake drug issue will stick to Benjamin forever."

"Chris, trust me. I wouldn't go through all this trouble just to screw you over," Alexander responded seriously, "Run fast, and I'll have a car come over. Once you arrive, we'll leave immediately."

"Alright, Alexander!" Chris replied with a grim look, then reached into his pocket with his left hand and blindly dialed Raymond's pre-set number.
