Chapter 129 Warriors in the No Man's Land

Hearing Anthony's words, the driver immediately tapped the small lever next to the gear shift with his right hand.

A grating sound emanated from the fender, and anti-skid chains popped out from the metal box, quickly wrapping around the tires and tightening.

"Downshift and add gas," Anthony shouted again.

The driver immediately downshifted.

"Mason, who's the target?" Anthony yelled, raising his gun.

"The one in the middle wearing the black jacket and checkered pants," Mason replied with a frown. "The one next to him, Raymond, should be the second-in-command; he's been giving orders."

At the top of the slope, Raymond saw the car charging towards him and instinctively thought they were after Benjamin. This assumption wasn't entirely wrong; anyone would think the Anderson family was the main force, with Alexander and his group providing support. So when the off-road vehicle recklessly charged forward, everyone assumed it was to reclaim Benjamin, and they immediately scattered.

In the crowd, Terry waved his hand and shouted, "Protect Benjamin. Don't let him get taken."

Hearing this, Raymond grabbed Benjamin, pointed his gun at his temple, and shouted at the car, "Stop, or I'll shoot!"

"Give it more gas," Anthony shouted, ignoring Raymond.

"Stop, or I'll shoot him dead!" Raymond screamed furiously.

The car, like a wild horse, charged up the slope without slowing down. The four tires, equipped with anti-skid chains, crushed the snow and sparked against the rocks.

Terry's group, without needing any orders, started firing at the car. But the modified off-road vehicle, with reinforced steel plates on the front and rear windshields, hood, and extended fenders, only showed deep dents from the bullets but remained unpenetrated.

The car, sparking all the way, reached them in the blink of an eye.

Two young men on the edge were hit by the car's front, screaming in pain, and the crowd scattered again.

"Charge another 10 feet, then turn left," Anthony shouted, eyes wide. "Mason, cover me with the gun."

Upon hearing that, Mason rolled down the window, pointed his gun outside, and fired indiscriminately to suppress the crowd.

The gunfire caused chaos among the group again.

In the upper left corner, Raymond, seeing the car pass by him, muttered in shock, "Are they not after Benjamin?"

As he spoke, the driver turned left, the car's front angled down the slope, and the rear swung around, positioning the passenger side towards Terry.

Stunned, Terry took two steps back and shouted, "They're after me!"

Two of his followers rushed forward, guns drawn, to protect Terry.

The window rolled down, and Anthony, with a fierce look, fired without a word.

Four gunshots rang out, and the two young men in front of Terry fell to the ground.

Raymond, realizing what was happening, raised his gun with a pale face, ready to fire.

The severely injured Benjamin suddenly lunged, pushing Raymond aside and shouting, "Kill him!"

Anthony, with a steady hand, fired three shots, hitting Terry in the chest and causing him to collapse.

"Bow your head."

At that moment, Mason reached from behind and pushed Anthony's head down, shouting, "Down the slope."

As soon as he spoke, the crowd pulled back and frantically fired at the passenger side.

"Move!"

Anthony pushed Mason's hand away, leaned back in his seat, switched the gun to his left hand, and used his right arm to grab the seat adjuster, pulling it up forcefully. The seat slid back instantly.

With a crunch, Anthony half-lay back, exposing only the top of his head, and aimed his gun.

Bullets flew in, sparking inside and outside the car.

After a breath, Anthony decisively fired two shots.

Two gunshots rang out, hitting Terry in the thigh.

Anthony, eyes red, shouted, "Stop the car."

"No way!"

This time, the driver didn't listen to him. Instead, he turned the steering wheel left and floored the gas pedal.

The car sped down the slope, and Anthony, gritting his teeth, sat up and shouted out the window, "Fuck, listen up! I'm Anthony from the No Man's Land. If Alexander dies today, I'll bring 4,000 rounds of ammo into the city next week and kill Christopher from Stardust City and everyone in the Patrick family."

His shout echoed as the car sped onto the main road and disappeared.

On the slope, Raymond snapped out of it, dropped his gun, and rushed down, pushing Terry and shouting, "Terry, Terry?"

Blood gushed from Terry's chest, his eyes closed, too weak to move.

"Damn it!" Raymond stood up suddenly, kicked a nearby young man, and shouted, "I was far away, but were you all far away too? Why did you give them a chance to shoot?"

The young man, crying, responded, "The car... the car was too fast, and they were too steady. Just as we were about to fire, he adjusted his seat instead of dodging. We've never encountered someone like this before."

"Useless!"

Raymond cursed, helped Terry up, and shouted, "Quick, call Christopher. We can't go back to Stardust City; head to the nearest military hospital, hurry."

Hearing this, everyone frantically lifted their injured companions, no longer chasing Alexander, Anthony, and the others but running desperately to their cars. Even the Young family members forgot to to ask the detained Benjamin where Tyler was.

The car sped along, and Raymond got Christopher on the phone.

"The hospital, we need to go to the military hospital. Terry's been shot four times."

"What the hell happened? With so many people, how did he get shot?" Christopher shouted angrily.

"Don't say these useless things. If Terry dies, your goods will never get into Pine City," Raymond cried, shouting, "The hospital, call the hospital!"

Christopher paused, gritted his teeth, and asked after a moment of silence, "Where's Tyler?"

"I didn't see him, but we caught Benjamin," Raymond replied quietly.

When Christopher heard this, his expression softened a bit. "I'll make the call now."

After hanging up, Christopher quickly ordered, "Head to the military hospital in the planned area outside Stardust City."

"That's just a small hospital," someone reminded him.

"As long as they can treat injuries," Christopher replied with a frown, "Terry's been shot; there's no time to get back to Stardust City."

In the car.

Terry slowly opened his eyes and looked at Raymond blankly.

"Hold on for a while, we're almost at the hospital," Raymond said, trying to comfort him.

Terry stiffly raised his arm, touched the blood-soaked gauze on his chest, and suddenly closed his eyes again, saying, "Call... call William... tell him to come quickly."
