Chapter 133 The Complex Patrick Group
Three days later.
Terry's body was transported back to Pine City, and the news of his death reached the company. While the top executives were furious, they each had their own thoughts.
In the conference room of the Neon Club, a middle-aged man with his legs crossed and a slight frown said, "Catching just Benjamin isn't enough for revenge. We still need to deal with those two officers under Samuel and Robert."
The room fell silent for a moment before a young man on the left softly agreed, "Grayson, we definitely need to get revenge and deal with them, but there are still a lot of things we haven't figured out yet."
The middle-aged man, named Grayson Hart, was a significant figure in Terry's company. However, he had been dissatisfied with many of the company's decisions and, coupled with Terry's recent intention to support Chris, with whom he had a poor relationship, he had been less involved in the company's affairs and rarely showed up.
Grayson listened to the young man but remained silent, lighting a cigarette.
"Yes, Terry's departure has indeed made everyone feel very uncomfortable." Another middle-aged man sighed. "But the company still needs to continue. With him gone, many issues have been left unresolved."
Grayson continued to smoke without responding.
"Right," the young man frowned again and said, "The situation in Stardust City wasn't handled well. Not only did we lose Terry, but Christopher's youngest son also got into trouble. Although it was the Anderson family who did it, The VitaPharm Company is definitely going to take it out on us. Our sales were already fluctuating, and now with this mess, can we still continue our cooperation with The VitaPharm Company? If not, what will happen to the company? How will the people below survive? And with Terry gone so suddenly, who will take charge of the company in the short term? If the supply chain is disrupted and Samuel causes us more trouble, how will the company respond?"
"Yes, these issues need to be carefully considered." The middle-aged man glanced at Grayson and continued with a hint of meaning, "And I don't understand why we didn't know about Terry's accident immediately. The body was already sent back, and Enrique only told us suddenly. What does that mean?"
Grayson flicked the ash from his cigarette, picked up his water cup, and said calmly, "Terry is gone, but we still have William, the new leader of the company. You don’t need to worry about him."
Everyone was stunned and fell silent.
After a while, the conference room door opened, and William, looking haggard and pale, walked in.
Grayson immediately extinguished his cigarette and stood up. "William, Terry..."
"Grayson, Terry is gone, and he died unjustly!" William's emotions collapsed instantly, and he fell to the ground, crying.
David immediately stepped forward to help him up. "Get up, get up first."
Grayson quickly walked over and helped William up. "Terry is gone, but you still have us. After the funeral, we won't let them get away with it."
"Grayson..." William cried even harder upon hearing this.
Stardust City, outside the police department's hospital.
Samuel reached out to a friend and said, "I'm sorry to trouble you with this matter."
"I've done all I can," the friend waved his hand and asked softly, "Aren't you going in to take a look?"
"I won't go." Samuel shook his head.
"How about we go to the teacher's place tonight?" the friend asked again.
"Sure." Samuel nodded.
"Alright," the friend opened the car door and said softly, "In ten minutes, have someone go to the third floor. I'll take care of the rest."
"Got it."
After a brief conversation, the friend left, and Samuel turned to John and instructed, "See Benjamin first, then Matthew."
"Understood." John nodded.
Half an hour later.
A staff member from the police department's hospital turned off the surveillance cameras and led John into Benjamin's room first.
"Just five minutes," the staff member said before leaving and closing the door.
Benjamin, lying on the hospital bed, turned his head to John and immediately asked, "Alexander and the others?"
"They escaped, but they haven't reached their destination yet," John replied softly, "And I heard Alexander's condition isn't good either."
"As long as they escaped," Benjamin nodded slightly and asked softly, "How much time do I have left?"
John looked at the old man in front of him, remained silent for a moment, and asked, "Benjamin, do you have any last wishes? If it's possible, I'll request it from above."
"No other wishes," Benjamin pondered for a moment and replied with a smile, "If possible, after Chris plays his part, help me arrange for the families harmed by the fake drugs to come to Stardust City."
"What's there to talk about with them?" John was puzzled. "It's a lot of trouble."
"I owe those families two lives," Benjamin replied hoarsely, "If I don't explain clearly, I won't be able to rest in peace when I die."
John was stunned for a moment. "Alright, I'll ask above."
"John, give me a cigarette," Benjamin called out.
John took an e-cigarette from his pocket and placed it in Benjamin's mouth.
After taking a couple of puffs, Benjamin smiled and said, "I've always wanted to quit but couldn't. Now I really don't need to smoke anymore."
John sighed and couldn't bear to look at the tough old man any longer.
In the Neon Club conference room.
Grayson comforted William, pulling him to sit beside him, and sighed. "William, I know you're feeling terrible, but the company is facing many issues that need decisions and actions. You need to be strong."
William stared blankly at the floor and nodded woodenly.
"There's something I don't understand. Raymond called me earlier and said Terry was seriously injured but stable and was about to be transferred to Stardust City, so we didn't need to go over or worry too much," Grayson asked gently, "But why did things suddenly take a turn for the worse?"
William paused for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't know. When I got the call, I was in shock and just wanted to get to the hospital quickly. I didn't think to notify anyone."
Grayson was taken aback. "When did things go wrong?"
"When I arrived, his condition was already very bad. The night he was transferred to Stardust City, Terry was gone," William said, lowering his head and crying again.
Grayson squinted at his profile, patted his shoulder, and said, "I'll make the arrangements. Let's give Terry a grand send-off."
William, crying, replied, "Raymond is arranging it. He went to see my sister-in-law."
Grayson frowned involuntarily and asked, "With Terry gone suddenly, shouldn't we formally notify the company and have everyone come for a meeting? You need to organize this!"
"Grayson, I can't handle this right now." William shook his head again. "Raymond said he'd take care of it, so let him. I still can't get over it."
Alright."
Grayson stared at William's profile, expressionless, and picked up his pack of cigarettes.
Stardust City.
Samuel answered Andrew's call and asked softly, "Did Chris reveal the fake drug information? Good, then send the details to the third team leader and have him handle it quickly."
