Chapter 112 Humble in the Face of Capital

Pine City, inside the Neon Club.

Terry sat in the office chair, his hand stiffly loosening his neat collar, and absentmindedly touched his pants pocket again.

"Terry, did something happen in Stardust City?" Raymond asked, standing by the desk.

Terry buried his face in his hands, rubbed his face vigorously, and then said in a hoarse voice, "A cigarette. Give me a cigarette."

Raymond looked at Terry in surprise and took out a pack of cigarettes.

Terry's hand trembled as he put the cigarette in his mouth, then touched his pants pocket again and said, "A lighter."

Raymond frowned, took out an electronic lighter, and couldn't help but ask, "What exactly happened?"

Terry suddenly stood up, slammed his fist on the desk, and, with a pale face, threw away the cigarette and said, "Tyler is missing, and he's the other party’s hands."

Raymond was stunned by the news.

Terry closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then immediately ordered, "Book tickets. We're going to Stardust City."

"Okay." Raymond was also a bit flustered and turned to shout, "Someone come in. Yes, Ernest Bell, you come in."

Two minutes later, seven or eight people quickly walked outside. When they reached the lobby, Terry suddenly turned around and instructed, "By the way, call William, and get anyone else who can get things done. We're all going together."

"Got it." Raymond nodded again.

In the early morning, Terry led seven or eight people to arrive at The VitaPharm Company in Stardust City.

As soon as they reached the lobby, Christopher, the manager of The VitaPharm Company, also hurried in from outside.

"Mr. Young." Terry quickly walked over, half-bent his body, and extended his hand. "I never thought this would happen."

Christopher smiled, his face kind as he shook Terry's hand and said, "Just a few punks, a small problem."

"We'll do our best to fix this, and I'll handle it personally. I guarantee with my life that Tyler will come home safely," Terry immediately added.

"Let's go upstairs and talk." Christopher, relaxed, instructed his assistant, "Settle Terry's people first, and have Brandon take them out for a meal later."

"Got it." The assistant nodded.

Christopher smiled again, patted Terry on the shoulder, and said, "Don't be nervous. You've been in Pine City for so long, what haven't you seen? Relax, I'll treat you to some coffee upstairs."

Terry turned and instructed, "You guys follow Mr. Young's assistant and get settled."

"Okay."

"Understood."

William, Raymond, and the others nodded.

"Let's go." Christopher led the way.

Terry immediately followed.

Seconds later, Christopher, along with two company vice presidents and Terry, stepped into the elevator.

As the door slowly closed, Terry turned to Christopher and said apologetically, "Mr. Young, this is my fault."

Christopher raised his hand and slapped Terry across the face, his eyes dark as he asked, "I made you rich, but you let me lose my son. Is that it?"

Terry was stunned for a long time before he stiffly raised his head. "Tyler will be fine."

Christopher took off his gold-rimmed glasses, wiped the fog off them, and said hoarsely, "I trusted your silver tongue, and now I've lost my son because of it."

Terry remained silent.

A few minutes later, the elevator reached the top floor, and Christopher led everyone into his lounge.

Inside, the four of them sat down. Christopher lit a cigarette and asked briefly, "How can you guarantee Tyler will be safe?"

Terry discreetly wiped the sweat from his hands on his pants and organized his thoughts before responding, "Those guys have no connections here. They can't hide. On the way here, I contacted someone at the phone company, we can use the phone..."

"That's not what I want to hear," Christopher interrupted, waving his hand.

Terry was taken aback.

"Don't waste time. They took Tyler, they must have contacted you." Christopher raised an eyebrow and asked, "Just tell me their demands."

Terry wanted to lie, but he feared Christopher might have already received the demands from the other side. So, he hesitated and then truthfully replied, "Yes, they did make demands."

"Speak."

Terry gritted his teeth, then looked up at Christopher and said, "They want to exchange Chris."

"Is it the guy who came to Stardust City to deal with Todd for you?" Christopher asked again.

"Yes."

"Then make the exchange." Christopher picked up the cigarette pack. "Send him over, get my son back."

"Mr. Young, there's actually a second way to solve this. Think about it. If we make the exchange, we'll be delayed for two days, and Tyler won't have a good time with them. But if we don't exchange and investigate first, with The VitaPharm Company's connections in Stardust City and the help from the phone company, those guys can't hide here. Give me twenty-four hours, and I'll dig them out for you."

Christopher lit his cigarette, frowned, and looked at Terry. "Are you telling me a story? That guy Todd, who swapped the fake drugs, should have been dead the moment he finished the job. Not only did you fail to do that, but you also let him come to Stardust City. Such a small matter, but you couldn't handle it, and now you're talking about digging them out in twenty-four hours! Do you know who they kidnapped? That's my son. A hundred of your heads together aren't worth as much as my son, understand?"

Terry clenched his fists and remained silent.

"I'll inform the police not to get involved, to avoid angering the kidnappers and putting my son in danger." Christopher pointed at Terry and said word by word, "In two days, Tyler must be sitting here. Got it? He must! If he doesn't come back, forget about doing business, you won't even have your life."

A few minutes later.

Terry walked out of the elevator with a dark expression, striding quickly outside. Seeing him, William immediately stood up and ran to the inner room, shouting, "Let's go, let's go."

On the snowy street, Terry opened the car door and had just sat down when Chris caught up from behind, urgently asking, "What did Christopher say?"

Terry looked at the anxious Chris, feeling very troubled inside.

In the wilderness.

Although Robert's bleeding had been stopped, he was in a deep coma, and the gun dealer Benjamin had contacted was no longer answering their calls.

Without a doctor, it was uncertain if Robert could make it through the night.

Alexander, desperate, kept calling Samuel, but the other side never answered.

"How is it? Have you contacted Samuel?" Benjamin asked anxiously.

Alexander shook his head, his face grim, "The news about Tyler might have already reached Pine City."

Hearing this, Benjamin felt a chill, fully understanding Alexander's implication.
