Chapter 71 This Girl Is Called Grace Taylor

At the dining table.

Coco had already downed nearly two bottles of hard liquor, but she remained unfazed and unflustered. Seeing how straightforward she was, Alexander felt it would be impolite not to join in, so he and Andrew each took three shots. Eric, on the other hand, had an injury and couldn't drink, so he just sat and watched.

After a while, when everyone was slightly tipsy, Alexander smiled and asked, "Coco, what's your full name?"

Coco wiped the oil from her red lips and responded, "My name is Grace Taylor."

"That's a great name," Alexander said, tilting his head as he looked at Coco. "You're tougher than a lot of men."

"No." Coco shook her head. "I am merely the inheritor of my father's trade."

"Is there no man in your family?" Andrew asked.

"There are," Coco said with a smile as she ate her beef, "But none of them are as good as me."

The three were stunned, and Coco playfully added, "Just kidding. My two brothers handle other matters."

Alexander looked at Coco and suddenly asked, "Can I take a look at the pharmaceutical production workshop?"

Coco immediately shook her head. "Of course not."

"Why?"

"Your client level isn't high enough, and I don't fully trust you yet. How could I let you see the workshop?" Coco decisively refused.

"Then how do I know the quality of the products?" Alexander asked again.

Coco responded in a calm tone, "You'll understand after a couple of shipments. My name is a guarantee of quality."

"Words aren't enough." Alexander blinked and grinned. "How about this? You don't have to show us the workshop. When the second batch of goods is shipped, I'll give you a part of the upfront payment, and then I'll pay you the rest after the goods are sold?"

"You look strong and honest, but why are you so cunning?" Coco blinked her big eyes and asked, "Do you have financial problems? Are you afraid of stockpiling goods and not being able to handle it, so you came up with the excuse of seeing the workshop?"

Alexander was stunned for a while before shamelessly saying, "I just think this way, everyone has a guarantee."

Coco paused with her fork and responded, "The upfront payment must be at least fifty percent before I can release the goods to you."

"No, let's discuss this further..." Alexander tried to continue persuading.

"Don't ask for too much. The conditions I'm giving you are already very favorable," Coco immediately interrupted.

Seeing that negotiation was going nowhere, Alexander had to nod and say, "Alright then, how about you give me a discount on the purchase price? You know, Pine City has the Patrick family, and there might be the Baker family in the future. Without a price advantage, it's hard to compete with them."

"Impossible. The price remains as it is. It's already very cheap," Coco refused again.

Alexander frowned at her and softly persuaded again, "Things have changed. When Paul supplied Benjamin, there weren't so many competitors, and they hadn't fallen out. Think about it, if you can't protect the Pine City market, you won't earn any money and will only benefit the other two families."

Coco looked at Alexander and said, "You're really cunning."

"Give us a bit more of a discount. We're sincere about doing this business," Andrew chimed in, "To be honest, in this line of work, we have to manage relationships on all fronts, so our profit margins are really slim."

"How you allocate your profits has nothing to do with me." Coco turned and said. "My goods are already cheap. If I give more discounts, how will we survive?"

"I don't think you want to see the Patrick family and the Baker family swallow up your market," Alexander said, taking out an e-cigarette. "Laying the groundwork and attracting customers, we all earn a little less initially. It's the right strategy."

Coco looked at the two men, a faint smile playing on her face, but she said nothing.

"Don't try to seduce me. We're talking business here. Why are you staring at me?" Andrew said cheekily.

Coco laughed. "If we're sitting here discussing, it means you've already accepted my prices, right?"

Alexander was taken aback.

"Don't use the market as an excuse. We all know that the Taylor family does need to compete with the other two groups, but it's just a matter of market share. But it's different for you. You need this to survive, right?" Coco asked Alexander again.

Looking at her, Alexander suddenly felt a headache because Coco was really sharp when it came to business.

"Having a meal together is to get things done. I'm not saying anything harsh, and I can give you a discount. But you guys can't push it," Coco said concisely after some consideration. "Let's compromise. I'll give you an additional ten percent discount on the drug price, but only if your monthly order volume meets or exceeds 200,000 BTC. If it's even one unit short, I'll charge you the original price."

Andrew, hearing this, excitedly commented, "You're really good at business! A monthly order of 200,000 BTC, you're making us compete with the other two families for market share!"

"You said it yourself. I'll give you a discount so you can capture the market. If not, why should I give you a discount?" Coco asked with a smile.

Andrew was speechless for a while and then gave a thumbs up, saying, "If you were a man, you would have taken down the Baker family long ago."

Coco raised her warm drink and said boldly, "The downfall of the Baker family is just a matter of time."

Seeing this, Alexander couldn't help but admire Coco and felt more confident about their future cooperation.

At first, Alexander thought that no matter how shrewd Coco was, she was still a woman. In the business world or in this era, she would surely be at a disadvantage compared to experienced men.

But after interacting with her, Alexander realized that this woman, who usually seemed like a playful girl, could joke and chat casually at the table, but when it came to business and interests, she was uncompromising. Her thoughts were clear, and her words were concise. Often, a man's long-winded speech couldn't compare to her directness and precision.

After the business talk was over, the meal also came to an end. As Alexander was about to head back to his room to arrange things with Tim, Coco suddenly called out to him, "I have a favor to ask."

"Sorry, I can accept cooperation, but I can't serve a female boss. That's my bottom line," Alexander turned and replied with a smile.

Andrew immediately raised his hand. "I have no bottom line. I can serve. Just tell me how you want to play!"
