"Holy shit..." Meredith burst as the screen of my phone lit up and the message from Akira popped up. I pulled my phone from him. "sorry? But are you seriously going to do that?" He asked in disgust, I looked at him What's the big deal, he returned and told me that Vida's boss kicked him out and he didn't want to insist because his wolf was as crazy as mine, so I decided to text and sending voicemail if any would soft my rock of a mate and boom, the message popped up with a reply from her, "you are?" He asked looking at me, I nodded, not even sure if I could do what she asked me to do.
"Yeah, if that is what will make her forgive me."
"Oh no, Alpha, you are going to look hilarious." He burst into laughter and I glared at him pulling my phone from him.

"Shut up, I have been dying to hear a single word from her, if she is okay and now I did you are making it seem like..."
"No, I am not saying that, but it's kind of weird, how she comes up with hilarious things, first she had to disguise herself as a nurse, and then her friend had to disguise herself as a delivery man and show up at our doorstep and now you have..."
"Meredith?" I called in frustration, he used his fingers to zip his lips, my eyes went to the message, and I sighed.
"Are you having a second thought?" I move my head and look at him, "You found her location already while not go to her instead of doing..."
"What if she throws me out? You know she could be hot-headed sometimes and I might not..."
"Fine, do what you want with your Luna and her crazy friend."
"Crazy friend and you are crazy over her?" He glared at me.
"I am not crazy over her," he scoffs, standing from the couch.
"Maybe, I should have you as one of the..."
"Don't you dare Alpha, it's isn't funny and I am not doing that."
"Wait till you found your mate and she requested the dumbest thing in the world," he chuckled before he shook his head.
"Nothing could be as dumbass as what that woman asked you to do." He scoffed before he shook his head and walked out, I grabbed my phone and texted Akira.
[If that is what you want I will do it but please, can I see your face.] I waited for her reply, but none came, so I texted again.
[Please Akira, I want to see you, I just want to make sure you are fine, and I promise that I am not going back on my words, I will do what you want.] I sent it and waited for a few more minutes, wanting to text again when my phone lit up.
[Fixing myself, you can call in the next five minutes.] I smiled and my wolf whimpered in my head.
'Fixing herself? Does it mean she is going to wear one of those silky nighties?'

'Stop sounding like I am the only pervert here?'
'sure you are, and get off my head, how come you are talking now?'
'I just wanted you to fix it that is all,'
'oh yeah! Why do I always have to face the heat for a crime we both committed?'
'Don't involve me, I didn't commit any crime, it's just you and you and only you that committed that gross crime,' I rolled my eyes at my wolf before I grabbed my phone and called Akira, On the first ring, she picked, my heart palpitations increase staring at her angry face.
"What do you want?" I paused gulping my saliva, while my eyes roved her body, before they fell on her wrist, the mark was already fading but I could still see little of the mark and it was a reminder of my stupidity. "What are you looking out for? This?" She raised her wrist and I signed.
"I am sorry, I didn't mean it, it escaped me"
"Wow..." She interrupted me, her voice a bit all over the place. "So you didn't remember that I would feel it that is the reason you go ahead with your lust towards her? Or probably you were thinking because I am a human, that your goddess wouldn't make me know everything you are doing behind my back?"
"That is not it, I know it's not an excuse but the truth is, I don't drink alcohol, the slightest one will do two things to me..."
"Things like what? Now you are going to make excuses for your actions." I shake my head.
"It's nothing like that, I wasn't supposed to drink but I got carried away and I ended up with a glass, if you think I am lying, we could go back to the hotel where the Shan's group had the party and check the CCTV and..."
"So drinking alcoholic beverages will make two things happen to you and it's obvious the first is you wanting sex since I know that is what you are going to pin it on... "
"I am not lying,"
"And I didn't say so as well, so was the fucking second thing that you couldn't skip the first for?" My eyes bulged when she asked that. "Don't give me that look, give me the Damm answer."
"Akira?"
"Now you are going to play me for a fool again right?"
"I am not playing you for a fool, it's worse than these, or maybe, these is worse than that, since I could hurt you in the process." I sighed as my shoulder dropped.
"I am still waiting and don't make me wait more than this, if you do, I could cut all ties with you..."
"No please Akira, don't say that, I don't want to lose you and I am sorry about that, I promise it's not going to happen again and I promise, I will avoid Katerina for the longest time that we are going to be together."
"So you are planning on rejecting me?" I shook my head, her emotions were everywhere and even if we were not in the same space, I could still feel them, she didn't know how to block her emotions yet, she was not a Wolf so she couldn't do that.
"When did I say that?"
"You just said it, you said you would stay away from Katerina for the longest time you will be with me, which means you would break up with me."
"I am not breaking up with you and I have no plans of sleeping with Katerina again, I am just going to avoid anything with the slightest content of alcohol."
"And if you didn't..."
"Then I should just embrace the part where I get knocked out for two or three days." The words came out of my mouth in rolls, was I the one that just said that, I shut my eyes, I shook my head, "Akira..."
"You don't have to bear that, if it ever happened, you could do it with any female, I could bear the hurt but I couldn't bear the pain of seeing you lying lifeless there for days. Wolfie, I would drop dead if ever anything happens to you."
"Akira..."
"Yes Wolfie..." She interrupted me, "I love you even though I get hurt being with you, you still make me happy and I don't want to live without that happiness, I don't want you to reject me because you think I will get hurt. Please, Wolfie, don't reject me."
I didn't know how to tell Akira that the rejection would take place. A part of me was hurting for my mate and mad at the goddess for giving me such a cruel fate.
How can I hurt the woman I love? Why will she make me feel this bond when there is no future for us?
