"Get out..." Her eyes bulge, and my beta looks at me. She wasn't expecting that. "I said get out..." I growl
"Logan..."
"Don't make me repeat myself?" I growled for the second time and she hurried out, I know I shouldn't have let out an alpha command but she is been annoying, who the fuck told her to boss me? No one Lord it over me. And I wondered what kind of alpha blood runs in her veins that my alpha command could work on her. Alpha's command doesn't work on other alphas
"Alpha Logan, what the heck are you doing? Why did you send her away? We need her, your mom is going to get mad at me if you don't..."
"You are taking her side again? Whose beta are you? Mine or hers?" He riffles his hair.
"I am not taking sides. I am just concerned, you know we don't have time, you should either accept the agreement Luna Luisa had with Alpha Morgan's daughter or find your mate and provide an heir, and you know the second option might be impossible, and no Candidate is more suitable than Katerina, she is the best and if she is the last..." I tittered interrupting him.
"You believe that pathetic woman? C'mon stop talking about that damn female, you should put a call across to Akira..." My Beta's brows furrow.
"Akira or Katerina..."
"I said Akira, not Katerina. What do I want to do with that sly woman?"
"Katerina is your..."
"I said Akira, stop talking about Katerina and you should send a message across to Luna Luisa, telling her that if she doesn't let me enjoy these six months in peace then I am afraid I will call off the engagement and I am not going to grant her heart desires and that will mean leaving the pack in the hands of that cousin of mine."
"Noted Alpha Logan." I move my gaze to the ceiling, "Talking about Riley, he is inviting you for golf by the weekend and he said if you want to come with a plus one you can." I move my gaze to him, my expression is blank, Riley, that cunning cousin of mine, I know that he is up to no good. "What should I tell him? Should I cancel?" I shake my head
"Just tell him, I will be there, and as for my..."
"She just replied, that she will not send Katerina to you again but you have to make sure that you kept to your words."
"I will do that, I am an alpha, I don't back down on my words," I said letting out a relief sound, as my lips curved into lopsided grins, having a mental picture of all the crazy things, I want to do in these six months of mine. "Alpha..."
"Yes, Meredith..." My gaze moved back to him with that crazy smile still spread across my face.
"A penny for your thoughts?"
"I just thought of one crazy idea, instead of just working at the company, and burying myself in those office workloads, I could make a to-do list, my dying wish... I could have fun, why wait for death." My voice was laced with excitement but Meredith's face was sad. "Stop thinking about me, I know you will be fine without me. Is not like I am going to leave you empty-handed, I am leaving you with the responsibility of taking care of my young pup that I might not live to see."
"Logan stop, it's not funny..."
"Then let's make it fun, up for clubbing after the golf game by the weekend." His face still has that dark expression, Meredith was never happy when he heard that I had limited time, he has been supportive and was desperate to find the cure just as I was but what you can't change you learn to live with it, I got everything so fast and I was dying fast, I guess, in my case, I will live fast and die young. I stood from the couch and tapped his shoulder, "When I am done with the list, of what I want to do, I will show you, Maybe, I will be dragging you with me in every crazy act of mine, so be prepared, and contact my Gamma, to check if the Pack as issue." I said before I pulled on my housecoat, my injury is still fresh, and I sighed, I can't heal my fucking self and it makes me wonder how humans cope with this for days, some months others years, and those disgusting smells of drugs.
"Alpha, I think you should rest..."
"Have you messaged Akira, tell her that she should come over here?"
"Alpha, did you know what you are saying, first of all, this is not working hours, this is not the company and why will you..."
"Tell her to go get a file at the office and bring it to the Mansion, give her the address." I interrupted him.
"Alpha, if you don't mind asking why do you need the human girl?" I move my gaze to him, I can't tell, the only thing I can tell is that the human girl brings solace to Thunder, whenever she is around, I feel all my vitals functioning right and solace revolves around her, she is like the moon goddess, peaceful but crazy. Picking that last part mentally, my lips curved into a lopsided smile and then I found myself blushing.
"Alpha..."
"Uh..." I wiped my face, erasing that naughty blush spread across.
"Don't you think you maybe, care about that human girl a little too much?"
"Just looking out for my employee, she is my assistant, so I should care about her, nothing much."
"You know, I could tell you are lying, I'm pretty sure you are falling for that human girl." I burst into laughter.
"Don't be ridiculous. Me? Human girl? They are parasites, worse than an Omega, what will I want to do with such a thing." Thunder whimpered in my head as I said those mean words about Akira. Meredith shakes its head.
"I don't think so, I mean, you can't bear to see her in pain, first she spend your money recklessly, she yelled at you, she even get you into trouble and as Katerina said, I was expecting you to throw that Ethan of a guy in prison but bullshit you are not even saying anything about the man," I smirked.
"Prison is just too easy a punishment, I haven't forgiven him, why will I do that? I have a better punishment for him, so let him before for now."
"Can you fit me in?” Meredith asked, I smiled.
"You should call Akira..." Meredith shut his eyes.
"You should be careful Alpha, she is human." I tilted my head to him.
"Is it possible that a werewolf could be fated to a human?" Meredith's lips drop, and he looks at me.
"No, I have never heard it in the history of your family that an Alpha heir is fated to a human girl. Why? Do you think Akira is your fated mate?" I part my lips, the doorbell interrupted me, "Who is there?"
"Akira..."
