Chapter 193
Akira's POV
"I love you Akira Nadine Stark..." A smug grin plays on my lips as my heart palpitations increase, hearing Wolfie add his name to mine. "You like the way it sounds."
"Hmm..." I hummed, flicking my tongue across my lips, Logan smirked, as he moved closer.
"Then it's all yours." He peck my lips. Wanting to pull me for another heated kiss, we hear a clearing of the throat.
"Alpha and Luna..." The sound of Austin's voice distracted us, Wolfie pulled from me. Our eyes wandered to him, he was standing here, having that smug grin on his face, "... Sorry to interrupt your pleasant moment but your family and the entire pack await you two and the doctor also wanted to check if you are fit to go home." Wolfie just nodded pulling from me, not after pecking my lips, I gave him a tight smile, before averting his gaze from me and walking away with his gamma, I guess the doctor also needed to check him, immediately my eyes followed him to the entrance, I saw my family standing there and my friend, Casper, he came, I was happy to see all of them including the man's Pack that Wolfie has taken me to the first time, he shifted and I met his wolf.
I let out a smile to them as I rested fully on the bed letting the doctor and the nurse examine me, the smile on Doctor Cain's face was enough to tell that I was fit to go home, but Mother insisted that I stay at the hospital one more night, not wanting mom to get overly worried, Wolfie and I decided that a day at the hospital wasn't all bad.
After the doctor left, my family and Wolfie didn't leave my side, they were practically bantering with one another, my gaze moved to Roe, although he was there, I could feel his mind was somewhere else, I hadn't gotten any information about Vida's health condition but Wolfie reassures me that the doctors were doing everything possible for her to be fine, I wanted to tell him what the moon goddess said, that is what she called herself. She said it's just her mate who could save her if Meredith is her mate then he could save her, but I just aborted the thought.
"Did I miss anything?" My eyes went to the door, seeing who just arrived there.
"Casper..." I called out to him, giving him that smile, reaching my ear. I had seen him among the crowd the first time but somehow he had disappeared only to see him again after hours.
"Wow... I didn't know I would get a joyful greeting."
"Of course, you will, have you forgotten that you are my favorite person."
"Favorite person..." Wolfie asked squinting his eyes making me and the others in the room giggle.
"Are you jealous?" Marcus's voice came up as he pulled his mate to himself, I didn't know he had a Luna all this time, till the last three weeks when Wolfie and I had our union and we didn't invite him, he called the next morning, to tell Wolfie how he felt downhearted that his supposed best buddy didn't invite him for his union and that my pup mate is mad at him.
After Wolfie apologized to him and they had a few words, I ended up talking to his mate and pup, his pup is a cute three-year-old boy and more like an adult, I wondered if all werewolves are this intelligent, then I want to have more than one in my life. I could get a football team and extra as pups.
I giggled inwardly but my actions didn't go unnoticed by Wolfie and the others in the room. "hey what's going on?" My eyes bulge not knowing what to reply, when all eyes fall on me, giving me that question look.
"Oh... It's the baby, it just kicks, supporting Uncle Marcus that dada is jealous." I pulled Wolfie's hand, to confirm my words when the baby kicked for real.
"Wow..." Wolfie exclaimed. This was practically the first time, that our pup kicked in the presence of Wolfie. I can't tell if it was admitting that Wolfie was jealous or he was trying to tell Wolfie that I was lying but either way, Wolfie and I were excited that the pup was active. I called it kicking but Wolfie called it purring.
"Oh baby, when is Grandma going to hear you kick..." I heard my mother's voice and then grandpa complaining about not hearing the pup kick anytime and I couldn't help but laugh, they were making it sound like it was a big deal and my little one was giving them a show and the room kept increasing with laughter at one point in time, I felt one of the doctors were going to tell us that we were making a hell of a noise but that didn't come up.
We were still in high spirits when I heard the soft voice of a female, I know that voice, but for the last five months, I haven't set my eyes on her. "Logan..." She called out softly, walking slowly into the room, she looked so different, she was so thin but her beauty didn't waiver a bit. That cheerful girl was gone and replaced with whatever hardship she must have gone through or whatever happened to her in the past weeks that I have no idea of.
"Catherine..." Wolfie called softly and gestured for her to come, she walked slowly into his arms as his arms wrapped around her.
"I told them not to disturb you, that you needed all the war rest." His voice came up low and caring.
"I wanted to but I got scared, I didn't want to lose you, I didn't want it to end up like the last time, I didn't get to say goodbye to my dad and my mom and I didn't think I could say goodbye to you, because you are my only family." Her voice was low but I could feel the sincerity in it.
Wolfie wrapped his arms around her, "The goddess knew that I have so many people to care for, so many people to put in a better place that I have still not done, so she gave me a second chance, a second chance to be here for everyone and for now, there is no goodbye." Wolfie told her before he pulled her from his embrace, wiping the tears off her eyes before pressing a kiss on the crown of her head.
"No more crying, Catherine... No more tears." She sniffed hard before trying to control her tears then moved her gaze to me, "Thank you, Akira... Thank you for making us, still have this handsome face..."
"And thank you for accepting to be my sister-in-law from the beginning..." I heard her giggles, I guess she remembers the first time, we met when we went shopping because Wolfie didn't think my clothes were fit for his company, '...You know, you're kind of perfect for the boss..." those were her words. I tittered in my head at the response I gave to her, but today, here I am, and her words had come through, I am perfect and special to the big bad wolf.
"I think we should let these two rest..." Mother announced suddenly.
"Sure, we should, we wouldn't want them to fall sick from stress." Grandpa second, although mother didn't know the reason while Wolfie and I were looking too healthy for someone that was on the verge of death but I guess Grandpa knew, with the way he was looking at Wolfie, my woman's instinct could already tell that our little secret is no longer one.
"Sure, we will and please take care of Roe." I saw his eyes lifted to me before he gave a weak smile and our mother threw her arms across his shoulder.
"I will let me enjoy the moment with him before he finds love and moves out." Another round of laughter combed the room, and when the laughter died off, her face went back to being serious, I know Mother, that look on her face, showed she wanted to say something hilarious, and there came the words, "Aren't you are perceiving that awful thing..." She sniffed the air, "Yeah, it's coming from those two, you should shower, you stink..." Everyone laughs and I frown.
"Hey little princess, don't mind your mother, you don't stink..." I wanted to smile at my grandpa but his voice came up again, "You should bathe..." I didn't even know if I should cry or laugh, I found myself sniffing myself before I could give a verdict, the door had already clicked lock and I was left with just Wolfie.
"Maybe, we should bathe..."
