Chapter 129
Akira's POV
"Akira..." he called in frustration, I understand him. I wasn't supposed to be asking him about it when the result was in my hand. My brows furrowed and he smiled before he moved closer to me and crouched beside me before he picked up my hand and pressed a kiss on my knuckle. "it's true, Amelia Hart is your mother and the DNA results his 99.9% compatibility. She is your mother." I listened to all Wolfie was to say with closed eyes, my hands were trembling more.
I could feel Wolfie's gaze on my face, I didn't even know how to react to the information, for years, I was hoping this day would come when I would find my mother but now I got the answer, I don't even know how to react to it. "What is wrong? You don't believe the authenticity of it? I could have beta Meredith redo it if you don't think it's..."
"No, I didn't say so..."
"If that is not the problem then why are you not happy? I was expecting you to be happy, to jump at it."
"I am happy Wolfie." I signed before pulling my hand from his, "A lot of things are going to change about this, it's never going to be easy adjusting to someone new in my life..." Wolfie looked at me with a confused expression, I knew he did not understand me and I was acting strange in his eyes, I stood from the chair before tugging my hair. "I am not saying it's bad or I don't want that, I have always wanted to know my biological mother, especially with mother and Linda taunting me all the time." Wolfie stood off from where he was crouching beside me before I moved from him and walked to the window. He walked towards me and pulled me to look at him. "Look at me." He said his voice soft and tender and I looked at him. "I know it's going to be difficult for you to accept them into your life but eventually you will warm up to them, I don't think they are bad people, from all our business dealings, they haven't got any dent on their names. You've met your grandpa and cousin, I guess and they were protective of you. All you just need to do is open your heart towards them."
"And my mother?"
"C'mon Akira, I am sure that she will be excited to meet her long-lost daughter. It's not her fault that you two were separated, we don't know how you ended up with your dad and what happened between your dad and her."
"Wolfie, you don't understand, accepting them as my family will means one thing that my foster mother had taunt me with." His brows furrow and he stares at me strongly.
"Akira, make me understand, tell me what you are afraid of?"
"I don't want to be a mistress daughter, a homewrecker. For years Mother and Linda had called me the daughter of a slut, a mistress."
My voice broke at the last part of my words. All my life, lots of things had been taken into my system, for years father had made me believe that I was the daughter of him and my foster mother but after my father left, I found out that I was not my mother's daughter and that I was the daughter of the other woman, and I didn't want that, I don't want to be a mistress daughter.
"Akira, what are you saying? Now you are going to beat yourself over what you have no control over? Your parent's status is in no way your fault and it's nothing you should be ashamed of for the record, you don't even know what happened between them. And have it at the back of your mind, it's who you are that defined you, not your parents." I huffed looking at him.
"Do you think Amelia will want a child? She is famous. Having a child out of wedlock wouldn't it be something shameful? If she is thirty-four, it only means she had me when she was seventeen. What if she gave me away? What if I am not related to my father?" I had so many what-ifs in my questions and it made my heart palpitations increase and my breath was coming out in short.
"Relax, we could only find out all your answers to your questions when we meet Amelia, I will arrange a meeting between you two but that is if you want to meet her now." I look at him. "yes, if you don't want to meet her, then I will..."
"I want to meet her, I want to find out everything about my bloodline and how I ended up with my father at a very tender age," I said.
"And everything you will get." He said with all confidence, I raised my head and looked at him, with my brow raised.
"What if she doesn't want to discuss it with me?"
"You don't have to worry, all I will need to do is shift into my wolf form, having her locked in the same room with Thunder, I guess she would spill the beans and not hold back any information." I laughed at Wolfie's logic. Who would want to be locked up in a room with a wolf?
"You are silly."
"Silly for you, I will do anything just so you could be happy, that is how much I want you to be happy." I look at him before a sweet smile curves my lips stand on my toe and peck his lips.
"Thank you?" I murmured.
"Anything for my Luna." I smiled before my hand snaked around his neck.
"So I had a big brother?" I said suddenly when I remembered Roe. He looked at me confused, since we started this conversation his expression was mostly that of confusion. "Roe is my brother, he told me is going to protect me."
"Haven't I been protecting you?" He asked having that jealous tone in his voice.
"You have but I am just excited to have someone related to me by blood, you know I have been longing to have a big brother, I wanted someone to scold me when I did something wrong and a big brother to shoo men away from me and kick their ass whenever they hurt me."
"Ahem..." He clears his voice without his eyes leaving me, "Hey, are you already thinking of reporting me to Roe?" His expression was stoic and I laughed pulling his cheeks playfully.
"Not yet, even though you are a bit in his bad book."
"What?" He screamed and I smiled, before lowering my gaze.
"Don't worry, he is not going to kick your ass yet but he might if you abandoned me at a party again." He sighed.
"I promise it won't repeat itself."
"You promised?"
"I promise." He said before I smashed my lips against his. We kissed till we were breathless before my voice came up.
"Will it be possible for me to meet her, today?"
