Chapter 042
Akira's POV
"Don't cry Akira, everything is going to be fine..." I consoled myself as I walked out of the building, I didn't want to cry, I hated the fact that Wolfie's words always affected me.
I thought he was going to call me back and ask that I stay but no, he is fed up with me, he doesn't want me around him anymore, and that stupid Riley, 'why was he looking at me like that?'
I didn't bargain for this, I told Vida that it was a bad idea to dress like this to work. I should have just stood on my ground that I didn't want to go with Casper but my pride got in the way and I didn't want to lose money, so I just agreed to her nonsensical idea.
And the flowers, it was Vida who ordered them for me, after Wolfie yelled at me to get out of his office, I got a call from Vida that she was sending me the flower stating in the card that it was courtesy of Casper.
"Fuck Vida, you just finish me," I screamed like some mad woman.
I boarded a cab to take me home, I just wanted to rest and I didn't have the strength to cry today, although his words were painful, calling me a seductress. I am moving on, I am not dwelling on the pain today, I am tired of all this.
I just get down from the cab and fuck this annoying fellow, 'why is he standing here?' I said mentally ignoring him. "Hey Akira..." He called pulling my hand, I swatted my hand from him.
"Go away Ethan, I have nothing to say to you."
"Come on Akira, I got caught up in the moment, you know that isn't me. Seeing you with another man and you pushing me away, gosh! I couldn't help it. Please Akira, let's start all over again, I promise, I will be a better man..."
"Start over? How is that even possible, how can I start over with you when you have a fiancee, where does that leave me in the equation, gosh, you slept with my sister and I forgive you. As if that is not enough, you still have a fiancee, which means that we have no future together..."
"C'mon Akira, don't do this to us."
"Us? There is no us, I have moved on and I expect you to do the same, I have a boyfriend now."
"Logan? Don't go with Logan. He is not the right one for you..." I tittered.
"And you think you are the right one for me? Ethan please, give me a break, no one is pressing charges against you, he is not, so you should be happy. Leave me alone and stop bothering me, you could be with any of the females, not me. After all, you don't love me." He rushed to me and pulled my hand.
"That is not true, you know that. I love you Akira, touch my heart and you will feel that it's just you, my heart beat for..." He pulled my hand to his chest, I pulled my hand off it, "I only turned into that strange creature because of you. I'm scared of losing you." Ethan's voice was laced with fake sincerity, I know Ethan, I could see through him now, my love is no longer blind.
If this were working for me before, not anymore, this diplomatic move of his is not working on me and I am not buying it.
"I didn't see anyone of these things you are saying to me, I felt like I was going to die if Wolfie didn't show up. What I saw in your eyes wasn't love but death, you wanted to kill me. Ethan, you abused my love for you; you treated me like trashed and you slept with everything on skirt, even my sister, I felt pity for your fiancee."
Ethan glared at me, I knew that my words rage him and he was no longer able to control his anger.
"Wow, you talk about pitying my fiancee, when you are no worse than me, in less than two weeks since you broke up with me, you have been seen with three different males. You are the two-timer, you can't have one, so you go for three, CEO Casper, the famous Riley Lucas, the cousin of your perfect boyfriend, wait, I guess he doesn't know how to ride you. And you need all of them." I look at Ethan, I can't believe I have fallen for this excuse of a man, one minute he is acting remorseful and the next minute, he is going to castigate me like some outcast. I will never let him pull me down, I am down with this trash and letting people talk down on me.
"Ethan darling, maybe, you have forgotten, we are no longer an item. So what I do with my life and my body is none of your fucking business, even if I decided to sleep with all the males in this city. It's not your business. You have no right to tell me what to do." I poke his chest as anger surges through me.
"Oh yeah, so because you broke up with me, you think you could let anyone put his junk in your trunk? Come on, Akira, I call the shot here. I own you, so I decide when to quit. You are mine and mine along, so fly as long as you want but when I am ready for you, I will come get you." I look at him, Ethan never ceases to amaze me. Was I blinded with love that I couldn't see this nasty aspect of him?
"Go home, you don't deserve my love and if you are the last man on this Earth, I will never give you a second chance..." I snarled and he pulled my hand roughly, I almost lost my balance, that moment the door pulled open and Vida came out with a bowl of water and emptied it on him while pulling me to herself.
"Don't you know when to draw the line, she said no and a no is a no, so back off, stay away from her," I smirked seeing the way Vida was defending and protecting me like a mother hen.
"You did this to me?" Ethan screamed.
"Maybe, you want a punch." She balled her fist and Ethan withdrew. 'Oh my sweet little scary man,' Ethan and Vida are never friends, vida never like Ethan and Ethan didn't as well, he could called her a hooligan and a tomboy but I didn't see Vida that way, she is the only true friend, I have around and she is more like a family. "And one last warning, my sweet little friend doesn't let any male push their junk inside her trunk. She stays with you because she loves you not because she is cheap." I smiled as I felt love and not alone, someone was fighting for me.
"Thanks, Vida..." I said hugging her.
"Oh stop it, you are my sister, not just a friend, so tell me while you home, this early?" I huff.
"Got fire by that handsome demon because he thought I was flirting with Riley..." I said in frustration as I fell on the couch.
"Riley Lucas?" Vida asked, I nodded trying to take off my shoe when my stuff fell from my bag.
"What is it?" She asked picking up the invitation.
"Oh! Casper gave it to me, he said they are having a golf game by the weekend, that since I stood him up for the concert, I could honor this but I am not..."
"You are going, if Casper is going there, then Wolfie will be going..."
"I don't want to see him."
"You are not seeing him and you will not pay attention to him because you are no longer his staff..." My eyes bulge looking at Vida, I don't know how she managed to come up with different plans in a short time.
