Chapter 041
Logan's POV
"Get your eyes off her, she is mine," I growl, Riley snaps his head to me.
"You are dating your..."
"Why are you here?" I interrupted him, not wanting him to say anything else.
"C'mon relax, aren't you supposed to get me coffee or tea or something, where is your secretary, I need tea or probably juice." I pressed my Telecom, wanting to ask Mariam to get coffee for him. "I think Akira, could do that..."
"Riley, don't fuck with me, it's either you take Mariam or forget about having tea or coffee." I snarled at him, trying to control myself but this beast was making it hard on me, 'is he hitting on Akira, goddess, I will kill him.' I glared at him
"Fine, I will just make do with it." He said, I rolled my eyes like he had some fucking choice, the door flew open, and Mariam enter with two cups of fragrant tea, I took one and gave one to Riley.
"Thanks..." He said sipping on the tea, "Hmm... Not bad..." He said flicking his tongue on his lips, "...but I still think that Akira's tea will taste better than hers." I narrowed my gaze, I swear this fucker is annoying me and I wish to let out my claws and fangs to scratch out his eyes and throat, but no, I am not going to give him the satisfaction that he is hoping to get from my outbursts.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"Oh, to remind you of the golf game by the weekend..."
"You would have just called or sent a mind link or contacted Meredith, whatever one you think is convenient for you," I said.
"I thought of that but I am here for the project, mega shopping project..." I grabbed my telephone ignoring the rest of his words, my gaze moved to the section of Akira, as much as I didn't want her in the same space as Riley, I had no choice but to invite her because she was part of the project.
"Get your stuff and the files you worked on yesterday and come to my office." I didn't wait for her to reply before I ended the call.
It didn't take long before she entered my office with the files, she was sitting in the opposite direction of Riley while I was sitting in front of them with Meredith at the far end.
I just sat there explaining things to him, after Akira had dropped the files and we were deliberating on the project, we were interacting for close to an hour and I noticed Riley wasn't paying attention to me or Meredith anymore but his gaze was focused on Akira. Her gown neck cut was a bit lower, exposing much of her upper chest. And that annoying smile on his face is annoying me.
I swear to the goddess, nothing has fucking annoyed me in my entire life but since Akira arrived and all these numerous men flocking around her, like honey attracting bees. I just couldn't control my anger.
"Akira, get out of here..." I growl slamming the desk, I couldn't fucking take it anymore, with the way, Riley is looking at her and flicking his tongue across his lips at intervals, drives me nuts and I could not continue to turn a blind eye to it.
Her body jolted, and she grabbed the files in front of me and hurried out of my section before I could even say another word.
Meredith's gaze move to me, I just let out an Alpha command on her, 'What the fuck was that?' Meredith dug in my head, I threw my head back.
"What the fuck did you do that for? Are you being..."
I interrupted Riley, "Get out of my office." I growl at him.
"What did I do now?" He asked.
"Just get out..." I yelled banging the table, he was not stupid to tell me that he did not know what he did.
"Fine, it's your call and stop being Possessive of her, like she is your mate, she is just some fucking human that you are fucking..."
"Riley..." I yelled, I swear, my wolf was already at the surface when Meredith's hand went to my shoulder, and he pushed me back into the chair.
'control yourself alpha...' his voice dug in my head, I swatted his hand from my shoulder, before I pushed my way, out of my office leaving Meredith and Riley in my office, I turned off my hearing, I didn't want to hear anything that they were saying, I know Riley will want to find out the reason I am been Possessive.
'damn you Thunder,' I growled at my wolf, I don't even know how to control myself around her. I needed a breather, so I went out for a long time when I came back.
Akira wasn't in her seat, but I didn't bother to look for her, I think, this is for the best, but after a few minutes she returns with a bouquet, this is the fucking height, in a flash I was beside her, I pinned her body to the wall, she stared at me confused and scared, as I dragged the flower from her hand and trash it.
"What the heck are you doing?" She screamed at me wanting to push me off.
"What game are you playing?" I snarled.
"Let me be, I don't know what you talking about..."
"You are a seductress, right? You are making everyone fall for you and you want me to kill all of them. Is that it, you are here to cause trouble for me? You are here to make me do something that I am going to regret? Who the fuck sent you to me," I pressed her shoulder harder on the wall, her eyes laced with confusion. "go on and tell me, you are enjoying every fucking thing you do right? You are enjoying the attention, you got from those men."
"What the fuck are you saying?" She yelled, swatting my hand off her shoulder. "What is it? What did I fucking do wrong? You blame me for every action that I am aware and unaware of."
"Oh please, you are aware of this, who goes to work wearing this type of neckline cut of a gown, revealing their cleavage, this is a company not a fucking bar, what was I expecting from a girl that had spent the last two years in a bar as a..." My words didn't finish, she slapped her hand across my face.
"Who the heck do you think you are to call me names? I might work in a bar for two years that doesn't mean that I am a prostitute, I don't sleep with men. Not everyone's life is as perfect as yours, I have my bills to pay and my mother and sister to care for, I do not have a perfect life and huge cash in my account but that doesn't mean that I seduce men so I could get money, I work for my money..." Her tears were already dropping, this was the first time, I saw her weakness apart from the storm, I guess I broke her heart again. "Anyways thanks for calling me names and I guess you are happy now, I quit, I don't want to seduce you or your staff..." She said pushing her way off me.
"Fine, get out of here, I don't want to see you anywhere around my company, get the HR department to compensate you..."
"Keep your fucking money, I don't need it and as for those dresses, I am going to pay for it, when I get a new job..." I didn't fucking hear the rest of the words because tears had clouded her voice and she had grabbed her stuff and walked out of the office.
"Damned you..." I growl.
