Chapter 090
Logan's POV
For the past few days that I arrived here, it's been like hell for me after fighting off the rogues, I was left with so many cuts and since my wolf wasn't healing me or should I say healing me very slowly, it was difficult for me to return to the human territory pretty fast.
It's a good thing, I left the human Territory when I did those rogues were on the verge of entering the pack when I arrived.
I would admit, that Austin and Meredith were the best thing that ever happened to me and the pack. I wondered how I could be able to protect everyone without both of them and other warriors when I couldn't even protect myself.
Suddenly, I remembered Akira, I hadn't called her since I left her, and the rogues attacked had crowded my thoughts that I forgot all about her. I missed her.
Leaving Akira behind had been the hardest decision I have ever made. I didn't want to leave her behind but I still didn't want to drag her into my mess. I had no choice but to leave her in the human territory, she would be safe there. If I hadn’t stopped the rogues, the entire pack would have been in danger not these little injuries that the warriors had to obtain, and a few of our things damaged, all the security cameras at the borders had been damaged, I am sure it would have been worse if I didn't show up, I just hope Akira is alright because I don't think, I could bear the thought of losing her.
I grabbed my phone to call her while I was sitting at my office still bruised when my gamma and Beta pulled the door of my office.
"Hey Alpha, are you feeling better now?" Austin asked, I shrugged my shoulder.
"Better than yesterday, the bruises are not that painful, I am sure by the weekend, I will be completely healed," I said swinging my chair, weekend is like four days from now, will I be able to survive more days away from Akira? "have you being able to get any information from the male? did that prisoner say anything?" I asked Austin.
"Nothing tangible, you know I don't believe that fucker when he said he wasn't sent by the rogue king and I know he must be planning another attack, this was only a distraction so we could think we have trapped the enemy yet he is still out there," Austin said
"I was thinking the same too, or what do you think Meredith?" This time my question was focused on Meredith.
"That's why we are not slacking behind, we are not going back to the human territory anytime soon, and you don't have to worry about the company, I have contacted Mariam, she knows what to do and I am sure those rogues know that we are still..."
"Ah..." I let out a small painful cry suddenly, Meredith and Austin's gaze focused on me.
"Alpha are you alright?" Gamma Austin asked with worry and concern covering his face.
"Yes..." I answered but my words were cut short when something prickles my neck, "Ouch..." I screamed moving my hand to my neck.
"Alpha..." I shook my head, trying to tell him that I was fine before I could do that, it hit me again. A sharp, searing pain slammed through my chest and neck so sudden and intense that it threw me to my knees. A howl tore from my throat, and anguish consumed my body. "Ahh... My chest...my neck" I couldn't hold it in anymore, I don't even know which hurt more, my neck or my chest.
“It's our mate, Akira…she is in danger” Thunder growled in my head, as he whimpered, he was restless and it was hurting.
"Akira..." The name came out like a whisper on my lips, my voice trembling with the realization that she was in danger. The pain I felt wasn’t mine; it was Akira's.
I grabbed my phone and called her mobile number, "Pick the damn call," I growl when she wasn't taking my call. Beads of sweat form in my head and fear reeked from me.
"Alpha is anything wrong?" Austin asked.
"I don't know but I know Akira is..." I stopped talking to Austin when Williamson's voice came up.
"Hello, Alpha..." Williamson is a wolf and he is also part of our Pack.
"Williamson, did Akira drop by for the past three days?" I asked.
"She did yesterday, but I think she is attending an auction held by Alpha Morgan Stanley,"
"What the fuck?" I growl forcing myself to my feet, my body trembling with the effort.
"Yes, from my findings, it was Alpha Casper that brought her there,"
"Stupid..." I ended the call, the thought of her alone in a place surrounded by wolves was killing me and Casper, what was he thinking? Bringing Akira to an auction that he knew was organized by wolves when he knew she was human?
"Alpha, what is going on?"
"What the fuck is your cousin thinking? Bringing my mate to an auction held by wolves?" I growl at Austin.
"I am sorry alpha, but I don't think..."
"Don't think, you should call him now?" I growled at my gamma, it's never my thing to yell at my men but I was mad, I don't know Akira's present condition, and not knowing what was happening to her, was enough to drive me insane. My wolf howled in pain, he was becoming too restless and he was about to force his way out.
"I am sorry Alpha, he is not taking his call," Austin said, I kicked the table in front of me.
"Dammit..." Grabbing my phone, and my car keys.
"Alpha, where are you going?" I tilted my head to Meredith, is that even a question but since he must know?
"I am going to the human territory,"
"But alpha..."
"You both and the other warriors could handle it," I said turning on my heel, abandoning my pack was never part of my plans but I couldn't sit there not knowing what was happening to Akira. I zoomed off the pack, everything around me didn't matter, just Akira's safety was all I could think of, the trees whipping past as I sped off.
I linked my mind with Williamson's to give me the address since I couldn't call him while driving, he had the address sent to me and I followed the route.
After hours of driving, I arrived at the human territory and came to the towering buildings of Alpha Morgan, I was boiling and I knew I would explode soon, my eyes searched the environment, and suddenly I saw Casper, "Casper..." I called out to him and he rushed to me, I could feel Panic surging from him, "Where is Akira?" That was the first question, I asked.
"I am sorry Logan, I couldn't protect her, she is gone,"
