Chapter 091

Akira's POV
"Ahh..." I let out a sharp cry as I awoke to a throbbing pain in my head, my senses slowly coming back to me. The room I was in was dim, I could barely see where I was. I tried to move and then I felt an uncomfortable pressure around my wrists and ankles. Panic began to rise as I realized I was bound to a cold, metal chair. The ropes dug into my skin, rough and firm, leaving raw marks as I instinctively struggled against them.
"Help... who is there? Let me out," I screamed, trashing on the chair.
"Oh, the little princess is finally awake," I heard footsteps and the voice of a man The man approached me, his face hidden in the shadows. He stood in front of me for a moment.
"It's you, you injected me with that stuff," I murmured, as the last thing I remembered was that I was at the auction where I received that message from my sister asking me to come backstage to get my necklace and then a man show up from behind me and before I could react, a needle pierce my neck, and everything went black. "What the fuck did you do to me, and where is Linda, she asked you to get me right? What do you want?"
"Oh, who is Linda?" He asked moving closer but his face I still couldn’t see.
"Don't touch me," I trashed hard as he tried to touch me.
"Stop being stubborn,"
"What do you want from me? I don't have anything to offer," I screamed.
"You have a lot to offer because if you don't, you should know that playing with others' toys at the playground is bad," my eyes move to him.
"I didn't steal anything, the necklace is mine, so get away from me," I snarled.
"We will see about that," he said staring at me, there was nothing but silence. Then, without a word, he turned and walked through the door.
"Hey come back here," I yelled at him but he didn't budge, he walked out of the room, leaving me alone once more. The door closed with a heavy thud, and I heard the door clicking into lock.
"Fuck, I am doomed..." I curse, struggling against the bindings, my breath was in a haggard gasp. The ropes were tight, expertly knotted, but I refused to give in to the fear in my heart that this might be the end of my life. I twisted my wrists, trying to find some slack, but the ropes only seemed to dig deeper into my flesh.
"Wolfie..." I called out to him like he could hear me. My eyes burned with tears as my mind raced. "Oh God, please send me a knight, save me, even if it's the wolf from the previous night." I prayed, I knew I had to get out of here, but how? I glanced down at the ropes that I had been struggling to lose since I opened my eyes, my hands trembling as I tried to work them loose again. My fingers ached, but I forced myself to keep going, to ignore the pain. Even when my wrists were bruised already, I couldn't afford to give up. After what felt like hours, I felt the ropes begin to loosen, just a little, but enough to give me hope.
"Whew..." I huffed finally, and with one last desperate tug, the rope around my wrists gave way. I quickly freed my ankles and stood up, my legs shaky from the ordeal. I knew I had to move fast before that man returned and there was no way I could go through that door because I heard him lock it, my eyes suddenly moved to the window, it wasn't locked, I rushed to it, I knew I had to climb through it and I was hoping it's just a story building.
I climbed through the window, this is the most difficult task for me, I know I am used to climbing the window of our house those times I wanted to run away from Mother and Linda.
I jumped off when the ground is not too far, I let out a painful cry, and my ankles were bruised, "fuck..." I cursed trying to stand on my foot but I froze, terror gripping me as I saw four figures, taller and more imposing than any human should be, with glowing eyes that pierced through the darkness. "Please don't..." My words sank into my throat, and as the realization hit me like a hurricane, my body went rigid with fear as fur covered their skin, they were werewolves.
I stumbled back, as my bum hit the floor. I crawled on my ass, fear crippled me, it was just like the first time, I saw that wolf months ago. My mind screamed at me to run, but my legs refused to move. I was trapped and all I could do was creep on my bum. There was no way out. The wolves surrounded me, their growls turning into low, guttural snarls as they closed in. I pressed myself against the tree root, my heart hammering in my chest. 'This was it. This was the end.'
I mouthed when one of the wolves lunged at me, I closed my eyes, waiting for my doom since I was sure, those wolves weren't the same as the wolf from the previous night. I waited for my doom but instead of claws tearing into my flesh, I heard a deafening roar, followed by the sound of a struggle. I opened my eyes just in time to see someone, fighting them off with a ferocity that took my breath away.
His movement was something familiar, I battered my lashes several times and It took me a moment to recognize him. "Wolfie..." I called out in excitement as relief flooded me at the sight of him, but it was quickly overshadowed by confusion. He was transforming.
As I watched him, his movements became more animalistic. His teeth bared in a snarl that was eerily similar to the wolf, I met months ago. And then, I saw his eyes. They were glowing, just like the others, fur rose from his skin and his head was transforming into a wolf, my eyes bulged, “No,” I whispered, my voice trembling, as I shook my head. “No, it can’t be…”
But it was. Wolfie was one of them. He was a wolf.
As the last of the wolves fell to the floor, Wolfie turned in my direction, and that was when I saw him, it was the wolf from the previous night, I swallowed hard as his attention focused on me.
Right in front of me, he transformed back to his human form, my eyes bulged as he stood there.
“Akira,” he called, his voice rough, almost growling. “Are you okay?”
I shook my head, I couldn’t respond. Fear gripped me, my face pale, cold envelope me and it was more intense than anything I ever felt before. This was Wolfie, the man I loved, the man I thought I knew, I was staring like he was a monster, "Akira..."
“Stay away from me!” I screamed, backing away from him until my back hit another tree. My eyes were wide with terror, my breath coming in ragged gasps. “Don’t come near me!”
He stopped in his tracks, the pain in his eyes didn't go unnoticed by me. He held out his hands in a placating gesture, but the sharpness of his claws only made me flinch. “Akira, please,” he pleaded. “I’m not going to hurt you. I would never hurt you, just listen to me.”
He tried to explain but I couldn’t hear him. The fear was too overwhelming, drowning out everything else. I shook my head frantically, my eyes darting around the area, as fear gripped me. "Don't come near me, you are a monster..." I saw his expression darken before darkness consumed me.
"Fuck... Akira..."
