Chapter 043
Akira's POV
It's finally the weekend, and even though I always refuse any of Vida's plans from the onset, in the end, I will always agree and dance to the music of Vida.
I don't know the reason, I always end up accepting all of Vida's plans or maybe, it's because I love Wolfie and I want to see him, not seeing him for the past two days is like hell for me but Casper is doing a good job keeping me company during the night when Vida goes to work and Ethan, he haven't contacted me since Vida throw him out.
I prepared to go with Casper to the golf club, he told me that Wolfie would be there and that if ever I felt uncomfortable with Wolfie there, I should tell him and we would just leave. I told him not to worry, up until now, I haven't told him that Wolfie and I didn't have a relationship and that it's just some fucking childish game.
"Casper..." A man in his forties called out to Casper when we arrived at the club, he smiled pulling me with him.
"Uncle Lucas..." He called out to him, shaking his hand but his eyes were on me.
"Good morning sir..." I greeted him
"Morning dear, are you his girlfriend?" He asked I patted my lips to tell him that we were not dating and that we were just friends.
"Yes..." My eyes snapped to him, and before I turned to the man who was having a scowl on his face, I wondered what was wrong.
"Did you know that she is not..."
"Uncle, not here and I don't see anything wrong with it," Casper said, I couldn't make sense of Casper's words or what the man that he referred to Uncle Lucas's words and the scowl on his face.
"If you say so, are you also participating in the upcoming tournament?" He asked Casper.
Casper shakes his head while forcing a smile, "No, you have seen me play a thousand times and you know that I am terrible when it comes to that. If ever I decided to participate then I should be aiming for mockery, you know I can't win one against Riley and Logan."
Lucas chuckled as we walked inside the club, "Riley and Logan didn't start that perfectly but they keep practicing. I think you could get there one day if you keep practicing but no one cares if you are good or bad at golf because there are thousands of things that you are good at and above all, being with your family is what matters a lot."
'his family?' I said mentally.
"But sometimes it's embarrassing," Casper said.
"Says who? Austin isn't good at golf but he always comes to watch because Mark likes it when he cheers at him." Lucas said.
"Austin is here?" Casper asked in excitement as he walked towards the other.
"Yes, he is, the..." He paused, "...Logan wanted him here." Lucas said it makes me wonder who this people are. "I will excuse you, if you want to mingle with your age group, knowing that we aged men might not know how to keep a conversation about what is trending..." Casper tittered before he bid him bye. Casper had a nice smile and a handsome face but I still can't fall for him.
I don't know what is wrong with me but I think I can't stop loving Wolfie, "we will be meeting Logan soon..." Casper announces to me as we go deep into the club. "Are you sure, you will be okay?" I tilted my head to him and gave him a sweet smile.
"I will be fine if you keep telling me about the people I will meet soon."
"Oh, there is Riley Lucas. His father we just met and he is Logan's cousin, and Meredith, of course, I know you know him, Austin, which happen to be my cousin but it's somehow related to Logan, because his mother, my aunt was married into their Pack..."
"Pack?" I asked confused, he pinned his lips before he ruffled his hair.
"I meant, family..." He said I wanted to ask another question when I heard the laughter and voice of others and one of those voices was Wolfie, I twitched my lips, as my heart palpitations increased.
"Look who we have here, the alpha..."
"Ahem..." Casper cleared his throat but the man had said the word, 'alpha...' that word what does it mean?
"Whoa... My bad, who is the pretty lady?" He asked.
"My girlfriend..." Casper said and then my eyes snapped to him but something else caught my attention, a loud bang on the table, my eyes snapped to him, Wolfie was glaring at him, and fear gripped me as I gasped.
"So you are now his girlfriend?" He asked I pinned my lips, and he stood from the chair, "Give me the fucking answer, is this, the reason you quit your job? Gallivanting around town with this nuisance." I pinned my lips together avoiding his gaze.
"Watch your words, Logan." He ignored Casper and his gaze was focused on me.
"Didn't I warn you to stay away from him?" My lips parted and then shut almost immediately, "why are you fucking stubborn?" I gulped my saliva, he grabbed my hand.
"Let go..." Casper swatted my hand from him, "Maybe, you should learn other things apart from being a leader. You should learn to respect females..." I shake my head.
"Casper, it's fine, I think I should..."
"Shut up Akira, let's go..." He grabbed my hand for the second time. Casper pushed him.
"Let her go, she is not your property, she doesn't work with you anymore and she is no longer your employee, is not like she even loves you in the first place." I shut my eyes pressing my lips together, 'Who the fuck told him, I don't love Wolfie?' I said mentally.
"She doesn't have to love me before she could be with me because I too don't love her." Tears welled up in my eyes hearing Wolfie's words, yet again he shattered my flicker of hope that is fighting for me because he loves me, I took a deep breath.
"Fine, you state your point that you don't love her, so you should let her go because it's no business of yours anymore, of who she's with or what she is doing..."
"Casper..." I called softly...
"No, it's okay, I should put this alpha in his place." He said with a warmed voice, my eyes were already watery.
"Casper stop, this isn't the right place for this..." Meredith said.
"Then you should tell him to stop..." He yelled at Meredith before turning his gaze to me, "You don't have to cry, as long as I am here, I am not going to let anyone hurt you. You are mine now." I don't know what came over him but I swear, his fist ball when Casper picked the word mine, he sent a punch across Casper's face.
"What are you doing?" I yelled at Wolfie.
"You started this..." Casper threw a punch at his face and hit his chest, Wolfie didn't flinch, and Casper grabbed his collar. "You think you really are her boyfriend after breaking up with her and then firing her." He throws another punch on him.
"Stop it, I am no one's girlfriend and I could not even think of being yours," I yelled at his face, without warning he grabbed my wrist and smashed my back against the wall, my heart racing as his eyes flecked red. Fear grips me. "Leave me alone..." I yelled.
"Fuck..." He cursed hitting the wall that he caged my body between, I went rigid.
