Chapter 034
Akira's POV
"Oh..." I said when this naughty Wolfie was the one that pulled me into his arms, I thought it was Casper that was aiming for me.
"Are you okay?" He asked I swatted his hands off my waist, and now he is going to act like my fucking hero when he didn't even care a while ago if I walk a thousand miles and ended up attacked by a scarecrow.
"Do you know him?" He asked as his gaze focused on mine, my eyes dilated as I looked at him and then at Casper.
"Yes..." Casper replies, my gaze moves to Casper before he moves back to Wolfie.
"So you know him? Who is he to you?"
"What are you doing?" I whispered my voice almost inaudible because his hand just fell on my shoulders.
"Don't I have the right to know who my girl mingles with?" My mouth drops open and then I seal it again. Girl?
"So she works for you?" Casper asked, "Was she the assistant you were talking about earlier?" My brows furrow, what could this maniac be saying about me?
"Yes, and I am the boss around here, if we are to keep working on our project together, you have to follow my rules and one of them involves staying miles away from my girl." I shut my eyes, is like I want to wet my pants, Wolfie will be the end of me, what is wrong with him?
"What do you mean, Alp..." He paused, shaking his head and then he said Logan, my head rake with ideas what could be that one word he was about to pick I swear, I guess it's the same words Meredith wanted to refer to him as the previous day before he aborted it. "Logan, what are you saying?"
"Let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Akira Ross." This time I gulped my saliva and my eyes bulged as I focused on Wolfie's masked face, Casper looked lost at me.
"Girlfriend? Do you..."
"It's nice having you around, I guess, you have other things to do. So you are excused." He said bidding goodbye to Casper, and pulled me before I could even say a word to Casper.
I was still in shock when he pushed me into the elevator, "who the fuck is he?" I smirked.
"Why asked me, when you know him? I am sure he just got out of your office?"
"Don't play dumb with me, you know what I am asking." He said grabbing my jawbone, as he lowered his gaze to me and my eyes snapped to his lips, they were lovely and it makes want to taste them, and got the feeling of how it tasted to suck on his lips. "Akira..." He growled my name, snapping me from my thoughts, and the next thing I did, surprised me, I pushed him from me. He staggered behind before he was able to steady himself. He stared at me confused, as I moved to his front.
"Don't growl at me like a wolf, what's up with the mood swings, do you even know what you want? One minute you want to fucking keep it a secret at the company and the next minute you are sticking your claim on me like you own me?"
"I changed my fucking mind, with those predators lurking around you, I guess it's better not to keep it in the closet, it's sweet and best when it's out there in the open."
"I don't get you..."
"Shut your mouth before I shut them up with mine." My heart palpitations increase, and I watch as his lips curve into a grin.
"Fine, I will but stop smiling it's ugly." I glared at him.
"I don't think so, that expression on your face is showing something different and I know what your heart is saying from the look of things." I rolled my eyes. "How are your feet?" He asked.
"I just walked hours and you still need a seer to tell you how my feet could be reacting."
"Stop exaggerating, it's not up to hours, it's supposed to take you thirty to forty minutes but you chose to take hours." I glared at him.
"I feel like slapping you..." I murmured under my breath, not audible enough for him to hear, he smirked and ignored me before he threw his head back shutting his eyes.
"Meredith told me that you were sent out of your house, what about I get you a new place?"
"Why?" I asked, he lowered his gaze to me, he was wearing a stoic expression.
"I could also pick you up every morning..." I look at him lost, his eyes focused on mine, his scent hits me that unique scent of him, and he flicks his tongue across his lips suddenly and I swallow hard. My eyes were still focused on his lips and it was alluring. My hand subconsciously moved and fell on his forearm and his hand moved as well, trailing my waist, my body jolted as his hand fell on my waist. I stand on my toe wanting to claim his lips with mine.
It was as if I was in a dream, and a force was pulling me closer to him. I found myself leaning closer. My pulse ticking like a time bomb, my breath haggard. Wolfie's hand moved slowly from my waist and it ended up on my face.
Slightly he brushed the strand of hair away from my face, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. This is it, his lips will fall on mine, very soon. Our faces inched closer, I shut my eyes as the space between our lips was almost closed. Then, with a jarring ding, the elevator abruptly stopped and the doors slid open.
I pushed Wolfie. My face flushed, as my eyes catch sight of Meredith, "Fuck..." I curse inwardly before I hurry out of the elevator avoiding Wolfie's gaze, my heart still pounding in my chest, when I tilted my head back, I could see Wolfie, still had that stoic expression, he wasn't acting affected. I sighed wondering what might have happened if we hadn't been interrupted, "Akira, what is wrong with you?" I scolded myself as I walked into the office, straight to my office, I wished I could look for somewhere to hide but the devil was staring at me through the glass door, that was adjacent to his. "Why the heck is he looking at me?" I murmured and then suddenly he stood up and walked toward my sections, when he pulled the door, my phone rang almost immediately, I looked at him, "Go on and take your calls." He urges me, I pin my lips together. I don't know, all of a sudden, I felt guilty. Answering another man's call in front of him but then he is not my boyfriend, a fake boyfriend. Those words rang in my head and I decided to pick up Casper's call.
"Hello!"
"Hey..." I said staring at Wolfie, hoping he would turn around and leave but he wasn't leaving. "Why are you calling? I am still at work?"
"Talking about work, why didn't you tell me you work for Logan?"
'seriously... When did we meet again? That I am supposed to be giving him details about my life?' I said mentally before clutching my chest, my heart palpation was killing me. Being under the watch of Wolfie is difficult to breathe, and talk more to chitchat with a boy.
"I didn't have the time to give details," I said
"Fine, maybe we could go to a concert later today, that way we could talk about it and give more details as to how..."
"You want me to come with you to the concert?"
"You are not going, you have work to do." My eyes snapped to Wolfie.
