Chapter 198
Logan's POV
Akira and I get to the clearing, almost at the same time, with my wolf stamina and her magic, it is always easy for her to race like she is one of us.
My eyes filled with admiration when I saw my pup and the other pups already shifted into their wolf. I crouch beside my son, as I run my arms on his fur, "you are handsome." I murmured to him while my mate Akira was caressing his fur. Gamma Austin and beta Meredith, couldn't stop talking about how brave Xavier was, that he shifted without any assistance and even help some other pup shifted.
His voice dug into my head, 'Did I make you and mommy proud?' for the first time I heard my son's voice in my head and it almost made me teary.
'You did, you don't know how much your mommy and I are proud of you.'
'Thank you, Dad!' I smiled
"Xavier did well..." Akira mumbled as her fingers didn't leave his fur, while his snout grazed my mate's body.
"Yes, he did..." I kissed the crown of her head, as we hugged each other.
"Congratulations, kid brother, you did amazing..." That was when we realized that Linda had been on a video call with Summer all this time. Summer wasn't able to make it, because she was having her high school final year's exam at Alpha Marcus territory.
Alpha Marcus had an academy, and for some reason, all the females in the circle wanted to attend that school but as always Summer would never miss any big event of her brother even if she was not here, she would find a way to witness it.
Xavier's wolf whimpered before he had a mind-link with me for the second time tonight. Telling me, he loves all of us. "he said he loves you too." My eyes went to my mate and daughter.
"Uh... We love you more." Summer and Akira said at the same time.
"Enough of the love stories, time to run," I murmured as I howled to the sky, letting all wolves shift and run in their wolf form, I asked my beta and gamma to lead the wolf.
"Aren't you going to run with them?" Akira said.
"We are going to run with them," I said kissing her lips and she looked at me confused.
"I don't have a wolf, have you forgotten?" She asked and I nodded, pulling her chin playfully. "have you forgotten that you could ride my wolf, and don't forget, hold tight and in the right place and you know thunder, always got your back."
"Perfect then, what are we waiting for?" Akira's voice was filled with excitement, she had always been excited over every little thing that I did to her, even though this wasn't the first time, she was riding my wolf, she always got excited when I asked her to ride my wolf
It didn't take long before I stripped, and I could see Akira's eyes dilated I could already smell her arousal but I knew we did not have that luxury now. "hey little mate, eyes up here." She smiled biting her lower lips.
"Yes sir..." I giggle. "but can you be fast, I don't want other females seeing you nude." she said biting her lower lips, Akira could be funny, no matter how long she had lived with shifters, she didn't seem comfortable with me stripping in front of others.
"C'mon, I don't think any of these females in this pack haven't seen my nude." I tease her, and she frowns, folding her hands under her bosom. "But not to worry, you are the only one, who could give me an insane boner."
"Wolfie..." She called in frustration. I smiled, seeing how her face turned red. “stop teasing…” I giggle.
"Fine, no teasing, I should shift now, before you have your heat."
"Yeah, I love it and I am hoping, I could get a new tattoo, or should I call it hickeys, because they are fading away." I tittered as she pointed to her neck, where my mark his, I remember the first time, I marked her when she went out, she said everyone was staring at her, that they all knew she had sex because I left hickeys there not knowing it wasn't hickeys but my brand on her, I branded my innocent mate.
"Sure, your wish is my command but for now let's shift and run." I peck her lips before a low rumble vibrates from my chest before it becomes louder and then my Wolf emerges, Thunder comes out, while Akira jumps on him, and we race with each other.
Akira's laughter, filled the air as we ran the forest under the full moon. It was almost midnight when we finished running and Akira and I had a blissed night under the full moon, we were lying in the field when my arms were wrapped around Akira, and her hair was spread all over my chest.
I couldn't wipe the tears of joy off my face, as I remembered how Thunder had run vigorously. Sixteen years ago, I didn't think I would be here, I thought I must have been gone for too long and today my son would have been crowned the Alpha, immediately he turned sixteen, just like me when I got my wolf but miracle happens, the goddess gave me someone to pulled me from my darkness, although Xavier wasn't given the burden of a pack to run tonight, I hope Xavier would have a chance to heal if ever he turned out having my disease, and a chance to live longer like me.
Thirty-six years, and I am still here, strong and healthy all thanks to the Goddess and my wonderful mate. "A penny for your thoughts?" Her voice came up and I smiled, pressing a kiss on the crown of her head.
"Just thinking of the first time we met," I said.
"I did..." She jokes. "We crashed right away, your arrogance rubbed against my stubbornness. To say we started on the wrong foot is putting it mildly." I grinned and my fingers pushed into her hair caressing her head. "But you know, I like it and there is no better way, I could choose to meet you."
"Sure, you aren't so bad."
"Of course, I am not bad." Her voice lace with fake annoyance.
"Thank you for loving me, for coming into my life, and for giving me this wonderful life again, and did I ever tell you that you are the best thing that ever happened to me?" She smiled.
"You just did."
"And did I ever tell you, that I will keep loving you, till my hairs are all white and I can't sweep you off your feet."
"You just did as well."
"Even when my memories fade away, you will still be here." I point to my heart.
"That too, you just did." She pulled her face from my chest and pecked my lips before a smile spread across her face. "You know that night, that you bite me, drink from me? I was willing to give every damn blood on my vein because you deserve it, you deserve to be here with me in my hands. And if I had to do it again, I would not blink, I will do it in a heartbeat as long as you are in my arms. You and me, till the end of the world. No regrets, because in the end, I got the boy. You are mine, Logan Wolfie Stark."
Oh, mine! My Akira... The mate, I always wanted. She might be a human and I was scared at first that she might be too weak for a dying man like me but today, I take it back, she is the strongest female, I have ever wanted, stronger than most of those she-wolves.
Her love for me was what kept me to this day.
"Thank you... " I pressed my lips on her forehead, this time, it wasn't just her, I was grateful but to the moon goddess, her magic, and everything that kept me till now.
