Chapter 014
Logan's POV
"Mine..." He murmured, I still didn't understand it's every word and action, I tried to gain control so I could shift back to my human form but no, he was not giving me control, he growled and the young lady murmured.
"A wolf..." I saw her face turned pale, as terror was written on the face of these hooligans that were about to rape her, the more my wolf growl, the more my wolf move from the dark, and the more he was furious. His grey eyes find the young lady's, before he averted them almost at the same moment, and focus on the men who were about to rape her, "run.." one of the men screamed as he let go of her wrist, she fall to the floor, hitting her bum, she let out a sharp screamed, that agony in her voice anger my wolf and that made him mad, and insanity clouded his head.
I could feel she was tense and her gaze focused on my wolf. My paws were thudding on the floor, they were coming too close. I watch her shut her eyes.
"Sorry dear, I am not here to hurt you." He murmured before he leaped from the ground attacking those hooligans, his claws went to the first hooligans' throat, one after the other he attacked them and left them lifeless, their screaming was all that filled the air.
For months I hadn't seen my wolf in action and I hadn't been able to shift successfully and now he did, without me summoning him.
The street echoed with the sounds of battle, the clash of steel against fur, and the desperate cries of men fighting for their lives. But it was a futile struggle against my ruthless wolf, he wasn't backing down and every metal that fell on him was like a dead wood, they just broke in two.
One by one, the hooligans were torn apart by my ruthless wolf, their screams echoing through the night until only silence remained.
They were lifeless, 'Are you satisfied now?' I asked my wolf as he stood amidst the carnage, its muzzle stained with blood, his fangs and claws were dripping blood, and his eyes were blood-tasty. 'Yes, they deserve to die.' he growled as he moved his back paws, pushing them off his way, and before he looked ahead, his eyes found the human girl who was looking at us, 'she is beautiful right?' he murmured
'what the heck are you saying?' I growl at him.
'I want her.' he said
'You want a human girl, where will this lead us?' I asked in anger, it's bad enough that we are cursed and we are dying in less than a year and now he is been stupid, wanting this annoying creature, a human girl. what will a human girl do for us, nothing more of a nuisance, we do not need this drama, human girls are worse than omega, they are annoying and always need someone to protect them. 'She is not my type.' I growled but he paid no attention, his focus was on the human girl, fear gripped her, and I know that look on her face, she was thinking it was her turn to die since everyone was dead already.
Her hands trembled, as fear paralyzed her. 'c'mon let's leave already.' I said to my wolf 'Not so fast.' he said ignoring my words, shit, I curse inwardly, as my wolf take every step closer to her. She stared at my wolf as we walked towards her. We could hear and feel her heart palpitations, and her trembling hands, didn't go unnoticed to us, but to her surprise, my wolf made no move to attack her. Instead, it approached her cautiously, its movements slow down and gentle. 'oh man! Thunder is acting like some lover boy.'
He didn't leap towards her as he did those men, and although she was still scared she did not attempt to run away.
As my wolf drew closer, I could see the beauty of the girl on the floor, she was lovely and appealing to the eyes yet she was not my type, human girls are not my thing. Thunder just stood there, staring at her, as she stood before her his gaze was focused on her, 'What are you...' my words stopped as she unconsciously reached out her trembling hand towards the thunder, my expression was clouded with surprise. My wolf thunder leaned forward and nuzzled against her palm, its rough tongue licking her skin gently. A sense of calmness washed over her as she realized that Thunder meant no harm. He was only protecting her.
She parted her lips to say something but fear get the best part of her because suddenly she felt dizzy, she held her head, "shit!" She cursed, and her eyes shut slowly and the next thing, she was slumping to the floor.
"Bloody fuck," I curse and at the same time Thunder slumped as I took over from him, I shifted back to my human form, and I stood there nude trying to revive her. Then I heard the cops siren, "No fucking way, Ms. I am sorry but I have to go." I run with my nakedness towards my car, and right in front of my eyes, a girl appears from nowhere crouching beside the girl.
"Babe, we have to go, if the cops meet you here, it will be trouble, there are so many Carnages here." She said trying to wake her but she wasn't waking up, I almost wanted to get down and help her, "fuck..." She cursed pulling her on her shoulder as she struggled to get her from the scene, in just five seconds the place was surrounded by cops, I turned my car and left, but my phone was ringing and not stopping, I just pressed the end button because there is no way I could go there, they will smell blood on me and it might be dangerous.
'why didn't you go with the girl?' my wolf said in my head.
'We have helped her enough even though we are under no obligation to do that.'
'We are under...' I shut my mind not wanting to hear more of his words. When I thought I was free from her, only for her to show up in my office the next day, at first I didn't recognize her but when she pulled me and declared me her boyfriend, I was mad and I was planning on terminating her appointment but my wolf Thunder was at it again. I don't know the reason, but her scent was unique, she smelled different from every female I had ever met but still, she was human and stubborn.
The sight of someone at the restaurant, in the private room that my Mother had pre-book for us, snapped me from my thoughts, the reality standing in front of me made my face darken, seeing my mother already sitting inside with my uncle beside her.
