Chapter 182
Akira's POV
"Let's give it a try." That was all Wolfie told me but the very moment we left the others, Wolfie didn't want to.
He told me that he still had no use for it now, that he could drink from me, some other time or probably, the next day, after our union, he might need it but he would have the doctor come around to check if it would be okay for him to drink from me since I was carrying a baby in my womb. I told him, I was strong and that I was not just a weak human yet he didn't agree to it.
I was worried but I didn't want to push too hard, I just wanted to assume we still had time and I told him that I wanted him to let out his wolf, Thunder, after our union, so he could bite me, he only shrugged his shoulder, I don't even think that is a yes or a no, I still didn't push it.
We ended up having dinner with his little family, instead of what I planned for the night but It was fine, as long as I was here with all my friends and the new family that I had found and with my union coming up tomorrow, I was on a high spirits.
Vida and I went back to the mansion after the dinner, preparing for my big day, and in a blink, the morning sun was already smiling at me, and Mother was already helping me into my dress, unlike every other wedding ceremony, I didn't want an elaborate wedding nor that designers wear. I just picked one of those dresses Wolfie got for me and put it on, it was a milk gown, and it looked good on me, "do you want to do this?" She asked as she put a final touch on my face, I nodded to her.
Although I wish I could tell her everything about Wolfie I think some stories are better left unsaid than say it.
"Yes Mom, I love him and he is a good person."
"Better than Casper?" Squinting my eyes, I looked at Mother, for some reason, she had a soft spot for Casper but unfortunately, I didn't love the man, although he was kind and caring, I met him first but I couldn't love him more than just a friend.
I invited him to my wedding but he told me, he wasn't coming so I just let it pass, I understood him even when he kept saying it was because he had work to do, I was aware, he didn't want to see me tied the knots with Wolfie but that doesn't bother me as long as I got the boy, after my heart and he is the father of my baby.
"C'mon Mother, I thought we had gone past this stage."
"Fine..." She raised her hand in surrender before she let out a deep breath, "I can't believe that I just met you and you're already getting married and a baby is growing inside of you. It's just like yesterday when I had you and ran away from home."
"And now, she is all grown up, pregnant before marriage, and ready to give Grandpa, his first great-grandchild." Grandpa Shan second and I laughed.
"Stop you two, I am not a baby anymore."
"Of course, you are still my baby, and you will always be my baby."
"Grandpa..."
"Fine... Fine, I will stop teasing you, and can you stop frowning, I wouldn't want my granddaughter to have a frown on her big day." Grandpa Shan murmured with a grin on his face.
Vida pushed the door, "Are you ready? The ceremony will begin soon." After Vida's announcement, I didn't waste any more time walking out of the room.
Roe was the one that drove us to the venue, with Vida as my maid of honor while my Grandpa and mother followed us behind with another car.
We walked into the reception, I had seen the venue last night but I wasn't able to appreciate the effort Wolfie made to make this place lovely. The glam of nature brought the ravishing surroundings and embellished scenic views surrounded by the cool weather making everything look lovely.
My arm was anchored with Grandpa Shan's arm as he walked me through the red carpet, leading me to Wolfie. A satisfying smile spread across my lips, as my eyes met Wolfie, he was standing there waiting for me.
He still looked more handsome even though his eyes were paled, and I could see his arms were trembling beside him, "what was happening to him?" I murmured not expecting someone to hear but my Grandpa who was beside me heard what I said.
"Probably, he wants to back out at the last minute, or he finally realized that he made a mistake marrying you and unfortunately for him, there is no going back..." I tilted my head slowly to my grandpa
"It's supposed to be my big day, while am I getting teased for left and right?" I faked a frown and he chuckled beside me.
"You know, this might be the last time, I could do this, with the way that young man is acting possessive around you, I guess that I might not have this opportunity again and he might chop off our head if ever, we tried this." I tittered inwardly, before resting my head on my grandpa's shoulder. "I love you, Nadine."
"I love you too Grandpa..."
"Don't say that, the young man might think you love me more than him." Yet another teasing, I let out an exciting laughter.
"I am entrusting my precious granddaughter to you, please take care of her and protect her." Grandpa Shan said, immediately he placed my hand on Wolfie's arm.
"I will till my last breath." He murmured before his gaze fell on me, his eyes were beaming with a smile and I could feel the admiration in his eyes, as he took my hand into his.
"Are you sure you want to do this with me?" He asked with a whisper as our hands crashed against each other.
A soft smile spread across my lips as I nodded to him before my head fell on his forearms, "I have never been too sure of anything, till I saw your face, your handsome face alone was enough to make me one hundred percent sure that I wanted this union with you, even if I wasn't sure before."
"Kira..." He groaned and I smiled.
"Did anyone ever tell you that you are too handsome to be just a man? Gosh, you are fucking handsome." He smirked.
"I guess my efforts weren't wasted, I thought I could make an effort to get approval from the only female, I ever wanted her attention and found me attractive."
"You know, you don't need to put an effort because even if you are on an onion's sack, you will still look good and haven't you noticed that I always got my eyes on you and you alone? You always have my attention and there is no one taking it away from you."
"Same here, I always have my eyes on you and only you." He murmured before he rested his lips on my head and pressed soft kisses on my hair. "I will always love you, now and forever."
"Me too..." I murmured. it didn't take long before the official minister started the ceremony, my eyes glittered when Wolfie pushed the ring into my fingers and his words came out, "I, Logan Wolfie Stark, take you, Akira Nadine Shan, as my mate, to be faithful to you and this bond, to cherish and love you, as long as I live..." He paused the words tasted bitter on his lips, he took a deep breath and continued, "This I vowed in front of my family, your family, and our friends." I smiled at the diamond ring on my finger, I pressed a soft kiss on his lips.
"I, Akira Nadine Shan, accept you, Logan Wolfie Stark, as my mate, my husband, the father of my child, and every other baby after this. I accept your people and your kind of life, I promised to be faithful to this bond, to cherish and love you, till my last breath, this I vow in front of my family, yours, my friends, and the goddess." He chuckled when I said the last part before I pushed the ring into his fingers.
"I hereby, pronounced you mate, you may now kiss the bride." His lips smashed against mine, taking my lower lips inside his mouth as he suck and nibble on it. I love this and I hope I get this for the rest of my life.
