Chapter 186 This Is as Far as I Can Help You
Tristan squinted a bit, feeling out of place in the lively room. "Did you take your meds?"
Katniss shook her head. After leaving the hospital, she went to find Saskia and didn't dare touch the stuff Saskia had bought earlier.
Tristan pulled out his phone and messed around with it for a bit. Soon enough, someone showed up with some food.
It was all light and easy on the stomach. She was starving, so she dug in while it was still warm.
Then she took her medicine.
Before they got here, Tristan had been grilling her about what Adelaide had said, but now he didn't bring it up at all.
After eating, he lay down on the bed with her, turned on the TV, and just held her quietly. The longing from the past few days hung in the air.
"Why don't you ask what Mrs. Forbes said to me?" she asked.
Without even opening his eyes, Tristan said, "Grandma called me on the way here."
Katniss tensed up. "What did she say?"
She had forgotten to tell Adelaide about the divorce; she hadn't told Tristan yet.
"She told me to do whatever I wanted." That meant she was on board. Tristan didn't need reasons; getting what he wanted was enough.
"I booked a flight with Saskia to Nightfall City for tomorrow morning." She had booked it while Saskia was drinking earlier, and now it was already dark outside.
Less than twelve hours until they were back in Nightfall City.
She tightened her arms around Tristan's waist, breathing in his familiar scent, and took a few deep breaths.
Tristan's long, clean fingers ran through her hair, and he kissed her forehead. "I'll take you to the airport then."
"Okay." She nodded and found a comfy spot in his arms, not moving.
Yesterday, she was still in Nightfall City. In just twenty-four hours, Katniss had been through a lot.
She fell asleep in his arms shortly after.
Nestled in his arms, her face looked thin, and she was as obedient as a cat.
It was unclear how long Katniss had slept when Tristan turned off the TV. The neon lights outside the window shone in, casting a glow on them as they cuddled together.
The soundproofing here wasn't great, and random noises came from some room.
Half-asleep, Katniss suddenly woke up, her eyes snapping open to Tristan's sexy Adam's apple.
His Adam's apple bobbed up and down, but he raised his head and covered her ears.
It was unclear whether he was afraid of waking her or found the sounds annoying.
Katniss moved her head and lightly bit his Adam's apple.
His body tensed, and he growled in a low, hoarse voice, "Don't move!"
"Don't you want me?" Her nose brushed against his chin, rubbing it a couple of times.
From the moment she saw Tristan, she hadn't planned on leaving without doing something.
Besides, he wasn't exactly unresponsive. Why hold back?
Holding the woman he adored, Katniss, in his arms, Tristan couldn't stay indifferent and lowered his head to kiss her forehead, the corners of her eyes, and the tip of her nose.
His hot breath washed over her face, and she tilted her head to meet him halfway.
Their breaths mingled, and he pulled her down jacket over to pad the bed, then flipped her over and pressed her down.
"Katniss." His voice was low and hoarse, and as he kissed her, his lips parted, each word dripping with longing.
The room's temperature soared, a stark contrast to the snowy scene outside the window.
Suddenly, a loud noise came from the next room, and Katniss opened her eyes, surprise flashing in them.
She quickly pushed Tristan away and ran to the next room, "It's Saskia!"
All she could think about was Saskia falling or going crazy and smashing the window.
She swiped the room card for the next room, but the door wouldn't open. She pushed hard twice, but it still wouldn't budge.
"Is it locked from the inside?" She turned to Tristan, who had just come out, for help. "Quick, Saskia locked the door from the inside!"
Tristan's eyes darkened. He walked over and pulled her aside, then lifted his leg and kicked the door hard.
The door flew open with a bang, revealing a chaotic scene and sounds of a struggle.
"Stay still and behave! Who's there?" A rough male voice came, making Katniss's heart race. She quickly went in and saw a strange man pinning Saskia to the bed.
Saskia's face was flushed, and she was struggling desperately, but she couldn't overpower the man.
"Mind your own business. I'm just joking with my wife." The man thought they had come to play the hero after hearing the commotion.
"Get out!" Katniss's eyes stung at the sight, and as soon as she spoke, Tristan had already acted.
The shirtless man was grabbed by the hair and dragged to the corner, with Tristan's foot firmly pinning him down. It didn't seem like much force, but the man couldn't move.
Katniss rushed to the bed and helped Saskia up, touching her skin and finding it alarmingly hot.
She shivered immediately, "Saskia, why are you so hot?"
"That bastard drugged me." Saskia had been sleeping when someone forced the drug on her, and it took effect in seconds.
She had no strength and could only resist with all her might, biting her tongue to stay awake.
She thought she was done for, but she didn't expect Katniss to come. "You didn't leave? You're a true friend."
Katniss grabbed a down jacket and draped it over Saskia. "I'll take you to the hospital," she said.
"The hospital won't help." Tristan held a box of pills in his hand and then took out his phone. "Let's go to the Velvet Sands Hotel."
He smashed a bottle over the man's head, knocking him out, and then released his foot.
Katniss and Tristan got Saskia into the car and headed straight for the Velvet Sands Hotel.
When they arrived, Katniss realized the Velvet Sands Hotel was not far from Nicholas's place, saving them quite a bit of time.
After checking in and putting Saskia on the bed, Katniss was about to leave when Saskia grabbed her.
"Don't go." Saskia rubbed her face against Katniss's hand.
Saskia had already lost consciousness and couldn't even tell if Katniss was a man or a woman.
Tristan walked over and pulled Saskia's hand away, almost yanking her to the floor with his strength.
"She's like this," Katniss said.
"Nicholas is here." Tristan led her out of the room, just in time to see Nicholas rushing over.
Nicholas, panting heavily, supported himself with his hands on his knees. "Tristan, your call was timely. I've never seen a woman as fierce as Isla; I almost didn't make it out."
He had planned to move in with Isla, but he couldn't commit to making love; he couldn't go through with it.
Tristan raised an eyebrow and pointed to the room behind him. "This..."
"Don't worry, I get it. I'll get my room and not disturb you." Nicholas gave him a knowing smile, then turned to Katniss and asked quietly, "Where's Saskia?"
"We can only help you this far." Tristan patted Nicholas on the shoulder and pushed him into the room, then took Katniss to the room next door.
It was already very late, but after all this commotion, Katniss was wide awake.
The double bed in the five-star hotel was large and comfortable, and Tristan wasn't about to miss this opportunity.
Even though they were very familiar with each other and had done this many times, every time Katniss showed a bit of shyness, Tristan was driven wild.
The process went smoothly, and Tristan only kept at it for two hours before letting her go, knowing she had a flight to Nightfall City the next day.
The room was dimly lit, and as Nicholas entered, he noticed someone on the bed.
He paused, then walked closer and recognized Saskia. "Saskia? Do you have something to say to me? What do you want to talk about?"
He didn't finish his sentence, noticing Saskia was motionless, her face flushed almost to the point of turning black.
"Saskia?" He moved closer and patted her face, only to be shocked by the heat of her skin. "What's going on? Wake up!"
He patted her cheeks, rousing the unconscious Saskia.
Saskia suddenly hooked her arms around his neck, pulling him down and kissing him fiercely.
Nicholas was stunned for a few seconds, the hot breath and the scent of alcohol from her mouth overwhelming his senses, making it impossible to think.
The next second, Saskia flipped him over and pinned him down, her hot hands roaming over his body, igniting his desires.
They had had such contact before, but it was always him initiating and Saskia resisting.
Now, with the roles reversed, he felt extremely uneasy, yet he couldn't resist. He was both anticipating and instinctively wanting to refuse.
Caught in this conflict, Saskia had already unbuttoned his shirt and placed her small hand on his belt.
The belt came undone with a snap, and she almost effortlessly stripped him naked.
Feeling the cool air on his skin, Nicholas snapped back to reality and stared at Saskia, who was sitting on top of him.
Her short hair gave her a somewhat androgynous look, but her body was unexpectedly well-proportioned. The moonlight cast a glow on her skin, making it look rosy.
Perhaps due to the drugs, she seemed to know what to do instinctively and didn't feel any pain.
In contrast, Nicholas let out a pained groan.
Was this considered rape?
The key point was that Saskia was having her way with him, completely disregarding his feelings.
The pleasure coursed through his body, and moans escaped from Saskia's mouth.
Mixed with Nicholas's pained yet somewhat pleasurable groans, the room was filled with an unusual atmosphere.
Saskia gradually regained consciousness about three hours later as the effects of the drug wore off.
She had maintained control throughout the entire process, and Nicholas hadn't gotten out of bed once.
But once she was fully awake, she felt utterly ashamed, her soft body lying on his chest, her still-dazed eyes slightly lifted.
Nicholas's eyes, dark and unreadable, stared at her. His rough fingers gripped her waist as he flipped her over. "Saskia! This is my first time, and you were too rough."
His voice was low and hoarse, completely different from usual, with kiss marks covering his fairly muscular chest and dense scratches on his shoulders from Saskia's unintentional actions.
He felt somewhat unsatisfied, as the entire act had been led by her.
He also had a sense of revenge. If word got out that his first time was with a woman on top, wouldn't he be laughed at?
As he touched her, his dissatisfaction turned into a desire for revenge. He punished her a couple of times but couldn't help slowing down, getting lost in the moment.
