But the phone rang only a few times before it was hung up.
"Should I call again?" the nurse asked anxiously, "I need to go check on the patients in the ward."
"No, thank you." George could only return the phone to the nurse and continue waiting outside the ICU.

Katniss put the items back in the manila envelope and shook her head, "I have no idea what the shocking secret is."

After Katniss left, he finally answered the call.
"Did you go into my study? What did you take?"
"Why don't you check what's missing and you'll know?" Lucas stood up, put on his hat, and said, "Hanging up."

"How could it be missing, don't you know? I was only out of the house for one night, and the stuff is gone!" Travis was so angry his nostrils flared, "Is your stuff missing too?"
"I didn't check until you mentioned it, let me see." Ivy opened her safe, and it was also empty.
