"What are you talking about?" Ronald asked.

"If it is one of your stupid little games, Bernard, I am not amused. We do not have time for this, we need to discuss how we proceed with your unborn child.

"The pup doesn't belong to me, Ronald. You and I both know that do us a favor and stop lying, it is getting tiresome and boring."

He looked annoyed and confused, I looked at his face carefully to make sure that what I was seeing was true, he didn't know.

"Come on, Helen. You even hid this from your own father? How shameful can you be?" I muttered.

'What are you talking about?' Bernard asked me through the mind link.

'Look at Ronald's eyes, he doesn't know a thing.'

"I have no idea what you are talking about. Whatever little mind game you are trying to play, it won't work. I am pregnant, the paternity test will even prove it. Science will not lie to you." Liam stepped forward holding up the DNA results.

"You mean the results you tried to fabricate? Oh yeah, I threw those ones in the trash, unfortunately. I had to redo the test myself and to one's surprise, the pup you are carrying doesn't belong to Bernard."

Ronald stormed to where Liam stood and grabbed the piece of paper from his hands. He scanned over the paper, looked at his daughter, and then back to Bernard.

"Are these lies?" His voice boomed.

"Have you fabricated these results just to shame my daughter further? Why do you not take responsibility for what you have done? My daughter has no reason to lie."

"Yes, she does." I stepped forward.

"Your daughter feels so desperate for the Luna position, she is willing to do anything to get it including forcing a man to claim a child that does not belong to him."

"Shut up! You don't know what you are talking about."

"Oh, I don't? Jones, please tell everyone who the father of this pup is." Everyone turned their head towards him.

"I am the father, Luna."

"So, you and Helen Elison had sex?"

"Yes, Luna."

"Where?"

"Shacklewood, Luna."

"When?"

"It happened about five or six months ago, it was only once time and then after that, I never spoke to her again." I turned my attention to Ronald.

"You see, Alpha Ronald, your daughter opened her legs but she didn't open them for my mate. She opened them for this brave young warrior here, Helen is not pregnant with that bastard of an Alpha."

Ronald's shock filled face turned into one of anger and mortification. Not only had he discovered that his daughter had slept with a man of average ranking but he discovered that Helen had lied in the name of an Alpha. He knew the consequences of such a crime. He turned to his daughter and stormed her. She received a slap with a loud smack, Helen shrieked in surprise. He wanted to hit her again but Bernard stepped forward to stop him. He raged on.

"You have brought shame not only to yourself but our entire family, Helen! You laid in bed with rats? How could you?"

Tears streaming down her face, she was tinted whether from embarrassment or anger, I don't know. Her eyes moved from her father to me and then back to her father again.

"Father, I…." She didn't get the chance to finish her sentence.

"Have you no shame, Helen? You moved around like some high-class whore." I could literally taste the venom in his words.

"Then, you lied to me and forced me to travel to this place and embarrass myself in front of all the people because you fed me lies."

She was silent for a moment, her eyes just observing the surroundings. Tears were still streaming from her eyes. A part of me felt bad for the poor girl but it only lasted for a millisecond, this was Helen Elison we were talking about, she devil herself.

"She ruined everything!" She pointed at me.

"If it weren't for her, I would be Luna right now and everything would be fine but instead I am here."

"You are only here for your own doing. No one told you to open your legs, no one told you to lie, Helen." Ronald was disappointed and anyone with eyes could see that.

"I would have loved you either way, Helen. You are my daughter but now you have caused so many issues for not only yourself but for all of us."

This was the first time I saw her unravel before my very eyes. Her personal life was crumbling and all that was left standing was a girl who had let greed and revenge take over her life, it is a real shame.

"Bernard, forgive me, I didn't know that this was the truth she had been hiding. If I had known, I would have never come here, you can do with her as you must. I only ask to keep my grandchild alive, he will be an Alpha one day." Bernard nodded.

"You have my word that your grandchild will not be harmed. Helen will travel back with you and give birth in your lands. Jones will accompany you and my only request for him is that you give him a high-ranking position in your Pack. He is the father of the child that will soon be your heir. Once the child is born, it will be raised here for the first half of its life. Then it will return back to you where it can continue its training to one day take the Alpha position."

"What about seeing my grandchild?"

"You and Helen can have visitation rights on weekends and holidays. But I can't allow the child to be raised by Helen, this child will be the bridge between our two Packs." Ronald nodded. This is going smoother than I had thought.

"You can't take my child from me! He needs his mother."

"What your child needs is structure and balance, Helen. You have proven to be unstable and volatile, I am not taking your child, you will have visitation rights but it will be raised by the father."

"I won't allow it!"

"Shut up, Helen." Ronald said.

"You have no room to speak here, you are the cause of this mess and now I need to fix what you have done. You will do as Bernard has said, the child will join us when it is of age. I agree with him, you are not in any condition to raise a child alone, you will give birth and then give the pup to Jones."

"What?" Her eyes were wide and her face looked panicked.

"I am sorry, Helen but I need to think of my bloodline and what is best for the Pack." He turned to Bernard.

"Bernard, forgive me, please. My family has made such a mess of things for you and your mate, for that, I am eternally sorry. I just hope that this doesn't break our alliance or what is left of it, I promise from this day forward, my Pack will stand with yours seeing as this pup will help bridge our divide."

"I will need this promise in a blood oath, Ronald. The truth of this matter is that I don't trust you." He nodded solemnly, he knew Bernard was right. A blood oath was a drastic decision but with someone like Ronald, it is needed.

Bernard signals Jasper who stepped forward and presented a pocket knife. He walked to Ronald and asked for his hand which he obliged. Bernard slashed his palm as well as his own and they joined their blood palm together.

"This pact is formed in blood and may it never be broken or the death of another shall soon come." Both of them recited the words.

"You are free to go, Ronald. Take Helen with you and ensure that the child is monitored and so is she. Her mental state is not stable and she could try anything, I will send Jones tomorrow, he will also be under my Alpha protection order. So, a strike on him is a strike against me."

"I understand, he will be welcomed in my Pack." Ronald looked at his daughter who looked like she was barely hanging on by a thread.

"I understand now that my daughter is not well, I will get her the help she needs." Bernard nodded.

Ronald moved to his daughter but she sidestepped him and growled, her eyes glowed a heated amber.

"I will kill you!" She lunged for me but u was quick to get out of her way. She circled back and tried to lunge again, I dodged her yet again. When she tried to lunge for me a third time, Jasper stepped in and held her by her waist. She thrashed around in his arms trying to break free but it just wasn't working. Her violet cries turned into sobs and her body slowly began to lose power.

"It is over now, Helen. You have lost, just come to terms with it. Think about your child." She let out a tearful snort.

"You think I care about this parasite growing inside me? The first chance I get, I am going to kill it." Her eyes snapped at Jones.

"I would rather die than birth this worthless piece of trash that had half his DNA."

This is exactly why we were sending Jones to the Pack, imagine your own mother saying such horrible and hurtful things about you. I looked at Jasper.

"Take her to her father's car and make sure she is sedated enough to be transported. This child is only a few weeks from being born and we need to keep them both alive."

"That's enough, Helen." Ronald followed closely behind them.

"You will rue this day, you little bitch. I will have my revenge!"

She kept screaming bloody murder until they disappeared behind the tree line. I turned to my mate and smiled at him.

"Looks like our wedding is back on."

"It is my love. Still want to marry me?"

"I wouldn't want anyone else."

I threaded our fingers together and leaned into my mate.
