Monster

Adea
The bed rattled, the headboard slammed into the wall over and over again. The more I tried to move the more I realized I was restrained. I fought against the fog that kept my eyes closed, that kept me just beneath the surface. A hand on my throat tightened and I choked as I failed to breathe. My eyes flew open and cold green eyes hovered above me, a bead of sweat rolled down his temple as he slammed forward. I cried out as I was brought into the present, I was confused, unsure of where I was and how I got here.
One second I had been in the carriage with Alpha and the next I was strapped to a bed. The only light in the room came from the moon outside my room. My room. I looked up at Alpha’s green eyes and he lowered himself. He snarled and snapped in amy face. I couldn’t even reach up to try and fight him. I couldn’t attempt to get away because my hands were restrained.
I kicked and thrashed against him. He released my throat and I took in a deep breath of air before my face burned. The sound of his hand against flesh slapped against the walls. Violence was all he knew. I was the foolish one for trying to figure out why he was having this reaction. My stomach churned and I wanted nothing more than to get away from him, far away.

Did a monster have a reason to act like a monster?

“You continue to anger me. Every show of kindness, every inch I give you, you always find a way to spit in my face. You frustrate me,” Alpha growled.
“What have I done? Why are you doing this to me?” I asked.
“You act as if you don’t know. Why don’t you use that mischievous little mind of yours to figure out what you’ve done?” Alpha growled.
He grabbed my leg and lifted it up and over his shoulder. Sweat glistened from his naked body and his abdomen tightened and flexed as he pummeled into me. I cried out as his rhythm sped up.
“Nothing I do is good enough for you! So you’ll take what I give and I’ll continue to give and give until you have no time to want for anything else,” Alpha grunted.
He filled me and collapsed on top of me. He released my leg and rolled over onto his back. My body shivered but he didn’t move to cover me. He sat up and jerked his head. The chains came off on their own. My eyes widened and I looked up to find that it wasn’t chains that had been around my wrists, but hands.

Ava.

I felt sick to my stomach. The situation had gone from bad to worse. His gaze trailed over my face and up to Ava’s. He jerked his head agains and she bowed her head before walking out the door. I felt vile, I felt sick, I felt disgusted with my sister and with myself. He looked away and I could only hope he saw the disgust there. I sat up but cried out as pain erupted everywhere over my body. I rolled over and fell off the other side of the bed. He doesn’t say anything but the bed creaks and notifies me to him getting to his feet. His quiet footsteps grow closer as he makes his way around the bed.
“I saw something between us today, something that could have been… more, but you had to go and ruin it all, didn’t you? Or maybe I was a fool for thinking I could change your mind. No, I’ll have to go to greater lengths to make you mine. I haven’t given up, I’ll never give up. Until then,” Alpha sighed.
He stopped in front of me and I could feel his eyes on my frame. I looked up at him and waited for his next move. Would he help me up? Would he pick me up? Would he make me sleep down here? None of the above. He lifted his leg back and brought it forward with all of his strength. I cried out as his foot connected with my stomach. I reached out to grip his leg and he brought the other one back and brought it into my stomach again. This time something cracked and I knew he broke a rib. I gasped as I struggled to breathe. Tears rolled down and dripped into my ear before falling to the floor.
“I’ll make you see reason. I’ll show you how angry I am, I’ll make sure you shake with the thought of making me angry. I’ll make sure you know how much you’ve upset me. I’ll make it so it physically pains you to upset me. I’ll beat obedience and devotion into you,” Alpha said through stomping on me. “Only when I’m the reason you live, only when I’m the reason for your every breath will this stop.”
He dropped something and turned from me. I curled into a ball while he walked away from me and towards the door. The pain causing me to cry out as I held myself. I don’t know when it was but eventually I reached out and grabbed what he had dropped. I found the letter, the letter from today, the letter from my mate. I crumpled it in my hand and sobbed.

My one and only hope would be the reason I …
left this world.
