Love Me ~ RealestK
Don’t Lie ~ Naika
Shane’s hand found my hip, and he flipped me around. My body was hot, our tongues thrust into the other’s mouth as he pulled me up. My breasts lid up his chest and I wrapped my legs around his waist. His hands came around and gripped my ass cheeks. I groaned into his mouth as his fingers danced dangerously close to my pussy. My nipples were hard against him as I arched my back. My hands darted into his hair and he growled as my nails scraped against his scalp.
“I’ll never tire of your lips. You taste like home, Princess.”
His chest vibrated. The rumble in his voice sent a dark jolt through me, and his words had my pussy dripping. The words moaned between kisses.
“Shane,” I whimpered when he moved his lips from mine.
“Yes, Princess?” His mouth slid over my cheek before dropping to my neck. Everything clenched as his teeth scraped over my marking spot. My heart thrummed in my chest as he walked backward to the bed. He lowered himself, and I dragged my nails down his back. I paused over the raised skin. It was jarring and another thing I wanted to know. It was still hard to believe, but the paintings made it hard to deny.
“Will you give me a chance? I’m afraid. Scared you’ll change into the alpha-hole I’ve grown to know and love,” I half laugh, half cry.
Shane, the big strong alpha, opened his mouth and closed it. His curled lashes flutter shut as he took a deep breath. When he swallowed, resistant obsidian eyes stared down at me.
“I don’t know how to do this.” The words came out a whisper. I pressed a light kiss to his lips.
“You’re already doing it. I need you to keep doing it.”
He sighed but didn’t say no. Hope bloomed in my chest and I bit my lip nervously.
“There’s something I need you to understand. You can’t fix me and I’ll never change. Never have—never will.”
“I would never ask you to,” I rasped.
We stared at each other for what felt like, well, a lifetime.
“You’re a man of few words, but in the time we’ve spent here in your room, you’ve given me more than all of our previous interactions combined,” I laughed nervously.
“I’m an open book.” I gave him a ‘that’s bull-shit’ look and he smiled.
“You’re anything but! There’s so much I want to ask you…” Trailing off, I refused to move back from him. I needed this contact with him. There wasn’t an inch of space between us. The man looking at me right now wasn’t the same as the man that walked into my VIP room and pulled the rug out from under my feet.
“So ask.” His fingers spider walked up my ass to my lower back. His words threw me off. I was expecting a rejection, or for him to block me at any further digging, but that didn’t happen. Now I wasn’t sure. What was I going to ask again? I wanted to laugh.
“Just like that?” I rasped.
“Yes.” His offering hung in the air and I wasn’t going to waste the opportunity.
“Where did those paintings come from?” I kept my eyes on him, needing to see if he’d answer, needing to look into the void as he responded. Would he give me the truth? A slight smile pulled at that damned corner of his lip, and my gaze caught on the dimple that made me melt. When I looked up at him, a lightness filled his usual cold stare.
“Me.”
One simple word.
“As in… your commissioned someone?” I asked.
“I painted them.” He said the words nonchalantly with a shrug. As if he hadn’t created magic, as if he hadn’t breathed life into them, as if he didn’t give me a glimpse into his soul with every one that hung on these walls.
“You’re… gifted,” I whispered honestly.
“Careful, I might think you like me,” he teased.
My body flushed, and I knew I was blushing.
“I do like you,” I whispered.
“Mm..” he hummed.
“You’re talented. Have you ever done anything with your gift?” I asked.
“No.” There was no hesitation in his response.
“Why not?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” he growled.
“Honestly? No.”
“I don’t share. I don’t want to share you with anyone. In the flesh, and on the canvas. The ones downstairs are as far as I go.”
I liked that. I liked the possessive side of Shane. As scary and as crazy as it can be sometimes. I loved it. Okay. Next question. Would he answer this one?
“Your back… can you tell me the truth about the scars?” His body tensed against mine and his fingers dug into my hips.
“I told you. They’re birthmarks.” The look in his eyes changed. His tone was closer to the one I was used to him using with me.
“Don’t do that. Please. Stay with me,” I pleaded.
“Whippings. Every wound correlated with you leaves a scar in the next life. I’ve collected a few.”
“No,” I shook my head.
“Yes, Princess.”
“But… there’s so many? How?” I gasped.
“There’s too many to share… and we have as much time as you’ll give us, baby girl.” His voice was choked. I’d leave it tonight, but I would hear them all. I needed to know the meaning of each and every one. Sadness felt like it was seeping through the walls, into our body, and drowning my soul.
“Are you going to give me that name?” My throat felt like it was caving in on itself, but I was determined to change the subject. I couldn’t take that pained look in his eye. He blinked and I couldn’t help but cheer. I’d caught him off guard. Something that wasn’t easy with Shane. He chuckled.
“You are… so random.”
“Gabe’s mate. Who is his mate? The suspense might just kill me! And I’m not taking no for an answer.”
