Imagined

When I walked out of the shower, I wasn’t the least bit surprised that the headboard was still banging against the walls. Leo groaned before begging for more and Gabe must have covered his mouth because his cries were muffled. I couldn’t help but giggle as I walked over to my closet. Tonight would be like every other night. I’d get dressed and go to work. I’d serve my client like I served the others and I wouldn’t let him do what he’d done the night before.

Oh, the lies we tell.
I don’t want to hear it, Kor.
He was delicious. Sex was so good, I had to sleep for hours.
I really can’t with you.

I pretended to sound angry fought the urge to laugh. She didn’t need anymore reason to think she was right. I didn’t need to admit it for the both of us to know what I thought of him. There was nothing that needed to be shared because there was no secrets between us. She was my other half and I hers. Just because I could feel her didn’t mean I could understand why she felt the way she did. I wished she’d be upset with him, I wish she could be as angry as I was.

Max is just the best. I wish I could have been the one to talk to him.
Don’t whine, you aren’t a pup.

She grew silent but I could feel her pouting. Korra was like a child and I wouldn’t encourage her behavior. I would not give her the attention she wanted. I threw open the door to the closet. Folding my arms in front of my chest, I let my eyes slide over the outfits. I shed in frustration. I didn’t have to go through them one-by-one to know none of them would cover half of the bruises on my body. There was nothing in there that could do what I needed, but I had no choice. I had to choose something and I wasn’t going to wear jeans.
It’s like a bulb lights up as I get an idea. I drop into a squat and pull out the drawer at the bottom. There’s a small black bag laying at the back and I smile as I grab it. Digging into the bag, I pull out the gift from Gabe. He’d bought it for me when he found out I was going to start working at Ocean Side. The velvet material was soft against my fingers. I nodded as I stared at the black cut out bodycon dress. This would work. Even though there were a lot of cuts in the arms, hips, and right down the breast area, it would cover up a lot of the bruises.
I’d be in the VIP room the whole night, so I just needed to be covered up enough to to walk into work and walked through the club without them being noticed. I grab the sparkling black diamante suspender tights and black stilettos I haven’t worn yet. They’ll be a bitch to wear, but I’m not dancing tonight, so it shouldn’t be too bad.
Thirty minutes later, I’m dressed to impress and the sounds from my best friend’s room have quieted down. My hair is braided in a loose french braid down my back the dress stops just below my backside. The bruises are mostly covered, the only things visible are the hickeys and bites down my chest. Thanks to the lighting in the club, no one should notice the ones on my thighs. I carry my stilettos and tip toe as quietly as possible through the living room. I know they can hear me, but I don’t want to disturb them and I don’t want to be here when the second round starts.
“Have a good night at work!” Gabe yelled from his room. I almost trip, but when I right myself I can’t help but smile.
“You too!” I yelled back.
“Oh, I am,” Gabe chuckled. I shake my head and head for the door.
After I pulled on my jacket, I tightened it before slipping into the stilettos. I adored these suspender tights that stopped just above my knees and loved how they twinkled while I walked. The drive to Oceanside felt like it took longer than it normally did. When I finally parked and got out, the temp bouncer stood outside. He gave me a nod as I walked in. I held my head high as I felt eyes trail over my body and follow me in. I walk over to the bar and smile as I find Star leaning against the counter. Randy’s cheeks are flushed as he places her shots in front of her. When he sees me, he smiles and starts on mine.
Star downs the two shots before turning around to face me, her perfect straight blonde hair falls down her back, her breasts on display. I’ve seen enough tits in the last year, so they don’t phase me. I love hers though, not only are they the perfect size, but they’re firm and pierced. Her level of confidence is what I strive for. She’s not wearing anything else but a skimpy lime green skirt with stilettos to match. The buckle is cute and latches around the front of her leg. She flashes be a bright smile, her ice blue crystal eyes light up genuinely now that she knows I’m not a client. Her gaze trails down my outfit, if she sees the bruises she doesn’t say.
“Luna! You look amazing. Are you ready?” She asked excitedly.
“For what? Another long shift?” I laughed.
“The club has been buzzing with the news,” she said.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Everyone knows you’re officially off the market,” she said with a wink.
“I’m not off the market,” I said. I’d meant to say it firmly, but it didn’t come out that way.
“He booked you for the year! I’d say you’re no longer available,” she said, giving me you-know-I’m-right look.
