A god
“That’s great, but I’m not available. He can get in line! What are you doing, Char?” I asked.
“I don’t have time to explain the situation to you and I don’t need to. You’ve been reassigned. Whether you like me or not, I’m still your manager and you need to listen to me. He’s a very important guest and he’s requested you. Look, I’m sorry I broke protocol, but he’s… he’s paid enough to book you out for the rest of the year, Luna. I had no choice but to come and get you.”
“What the actual… who is he?” I asked. Booking me out for the rest of the year would be an insane amount of money. Whoever this man was, he was rich. Char shook her head before she looked over her shoulder.
“I can’t say, but what I can is that he is…” Char opened her mouth and closed it.
“He’s what? Good? Bad? Scary?” I asked. The last option made me think that the guest could be a werewolf. Ocean Side was known for being a club for humans. If there was one of our kind here, they would most likely be looking for a human.
“He’s hot. Really fucking hot,” Char said. Whatever I expected her to say, that was the farthest from it. I rolled my eyes.
“You cannot be serious right now! You’re doing all of this because… he’s hot?!” I hissed.
“No! Gods. He’s bad, definitely intimidating, but I think I’d do whatever he wanted if—”
“Goddess,” I cursed under my breath. “Who is he, Char?” I demanded.
“He has requested that his identity not be revealed. I can’t tell you, Luna. So please, drop it,” she pleaded. “It isn’t out of the ordinary to work with an unknown client.”
“It’s the way you’re acting that’s making me nervous! I have the right to refuse a client. I’ll go in there and tell him that I’m booked out for the night. This whole thing is ridiculous!”
“You can’t! You can’t do that. He’s paid everything in advance, Luna. Don’t you get that? It’s almost like he’s bought you. I need you to get in there and see if you know him. Your nights belong to him from now on,” Char said.
“Fuck. You can’t expect me to take care of one client for the rest of the year!” I hissed.
“I can and you will,” Char warned.
“What did he request?” I asked.
“What?” Char asked.
“What did he request? Is this a client from downstairs? Does he want me to sleep with him?” I asked.
“He just requested you. He didn’t say anything else, nor did he fill out a form,” Char said. “But believe me when I say he isn’t someone we want to cross. Just spend the rest of the night with him and feel him out. I’ll talk to Chance and the rest of your clients. They’ll be updated on your… unavailability. Don’t anger him, Luna. I don’t know how to explain it… but you’ll understand what I mean when we get there,” Char hissed.
She turned on her heel and I stared after her with my mouth agape. I shook my head and ignored the heaviness that was settling in the pit of my stomach. My hands felt clammy as I put one heel in front of the other. My mind considered the impossible. Had someone from my old pack found out where I was? Had they come for me? The chances were unlikely. My old pack wouldn’t have paid as much as he has. Maybe it’s someone who saw me around?
We come to a stop in front of the door to room 1. Char reaches for the handle, but the door swings open and two large men walk out. We back up as their scent reaches my nose. The hair on the back of my neck rises when I realize they’re wolves. One is blonde with blue eyes and the other is a brunette with brown eyes. I don’t know any of them and I wonder which one is my client. I’ve done my best to stay away from my kind outside of my day job. I’ve hosted parties before, but being alone with two wolves makes me nervous. The two of them stare at me as Char introduces me as Luna. When they step out of the way, Char takes a step, but they block her way. The two of us stare at the large arms blocking the way before looking up at them with wide eyes.
“Only her,” the blonde said. Char nodded and without another glance my way, she turned from me and walked down the hall. I stood alone with the two of them at the end of the hallway. They weren’t marked and that meant they were mate-less. They didn’t ogle me, they held eye contact.
“Follow us, Luna,” the brunette said.
The two men turned from me and walked back into the room one by one. The blonde held the door open for me and I walked in. I followed the blonde into the room, it was a grand room, but I didn’t take the time to look around. My eyes widened and my mouth dried as my gaze locked on obsidian eyes. They were the darkest pools of jet-black coal I’ve ever seen, but it wasn’t just his eyes that drew me to him.
Thick lips and a sharp jawline that begged to be worshiped. Long dark curls hung loosely around his impossibly broad shoulders. My eyes trailed down his chest, his pecs were well defined and my eyes slid further down to the muscles that bulged through his shirt. His legs were open and I couldn’t help but eye fuck the thickness of his thighs. This guy wasn’t hot, this guy was a god and I wanted nothing more than to drop to my knees in worship. My breathing hitched as his eyes began their descent down my body.
