Impossible
“Before I met him, I thought he must have seen me around and wanted all of my time. When I found out he was my mate, I wondered if it was because he was jealous and didn’t want me servicing anyone else. Now that I’ve met him, I know it’s because he doesn’t like sharing. He’s just possessive. He hates me Gabby, he fucking hates me,” I whispered. My vision blurred, and I refused to blink, willing them to disappear.
“First off, any man would go crazy over you. That outfit last night?” Gabe said as he brought his fingers to his lips, made a kissing noise as he pushed them out and away from his face. “Chefs kiss. I’m sure you had every man in the club ready to eat out of your hands,” Gabe said confidently. “And if he’s possessive? Let him think whatever he wants. You belong to you and only you,” Gabe said firmly as he looked into my eyes. “As for hate? No way, Pr-Ady. It’s impossible to hate you. I’m sure he’s just like every other possessive alpha out there. He needs to have you all to himself and is chomping at the bits knowing others have seen your luscious body out there,” Gabe said soothingly as one hand came up and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. He wiped my eye and tears fell unwillingly. I took a deep breath as he batted them away. “No man, not even your mate is worthy of your tears.” I laughed as I choked on emotion. Leo still hadn’t emerged from the bedroom and I was thankful for the space.
“Oh, I know he doesn’t want anyone else seeing my body. He knew I wasn’t a virgin and went all give-me-names on me,” I said incredulously. Gabe whistled.
“He did? Did he hurt you?” Gabe asked.
“Not physically,” I said with a fake smile.
“Goddess,” Gabe cursed. “What did you say when he asked for names?” My best friend asked curiously.
“It doesn’t matter what I said. What matters is that Donny crashed our session in the VIP room,” I said. A devious smile curled the corner of Gabe’s lip.
“Did he now?” Gabe asked. It wasn’t a shock that Gabe liked Donny. He thought he was a good man with an even better body.
“Yes, don’t smile!” I laughed. “He broke his arm. I need to check on him,” I sighed.
“Holy daddy vibes,” Gabe gasped.
“Gabby!” I laughed as I smacked his arm.
“What? You are your own independent woman! I’m not,” Gabe teased.
“I really can’t with you,” I chuckled.
“You can and you will for an eternity,” he smiled as he nodded. I rolled my eyes. “Seriously though, you’re lucky he didn’t kill him. Especially since that was your first meeting. Males get over possessive and can be violent when faced with another man that’s had his mate,” Gabe said seriously.
“Oh, I know. I saw that first hand last night,” I muttered.
“This seems dangerous. What are you going to do? If he’s going to see you multiple times a week, he’s going to see Donny. Sounds very tense,” he said.
“What can I do?” I said with a shrug. “I have to find a way to be okay with one client for the rest of the year and I have to come to terms with the fact that my client is my mate. No matter how overbearing he is, I did get to meet his wolf and that was the highlight of my evening.”
“I’m waiting on the details,” Gabe said.
“What details?” I asked.
“Uh, you found your mate and had very hot sex. Even after your shower I can smell him all over you. You were scented girl, scent marked. One whiff of you and every werewolf that smells you is going to know you’ve got someone,” Gabe said.
“I’m not surprised. He had me multiple times. I actually need to take something,” I said.
“Are you hurt?” Gabe asked.
“Just where you can’t see,” I said.
“Bastard, was he rough?” Gabe growled.
“We are not going to go there,” I laughed.
“Mm… why not?” Gabe whined. “I want to hear all of the naughty details.”
“Because!” I exclaimed. “Ugh… I have to talk to Chance,” I sighed.
“VIP Zaddy?” Gabe asked. I nodded.
“I was with him when Char pulled me out of a session,” I said. Gabe has never met Chance but he knew as much as I did that Chance contributed to my income the most out of all of the clients I have, or had and he was the nicest among my clients.
“I’m sure your manager is going to let him know he can’t book you anymore,” Gabe said. “There’s nothing you can do about that. Are you wanting to do more with this client?” Gabe asked curiously.
“No, and I don’t know if I could be with someone after last night,” I sighed.
“That good?” Gabe asked.
“Goddess. Donny was what every girl deserves their first time, but my mate was everything I didn’t know I needed, in that department I mean,” I giggled.
“Hung like Donkey Kung?” Gabe asked, emphasizing the uh in Kung, as he wriggled his eyebrows.
“It’s Kong and yes, I swear on everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re distant relatives,” I laughed. His mouth dropped open before he closed it.
“Mm, he was putting it DOWN,” Gabe shrieked.
“Gabe! Stop!” I giggled.
“No fair. This is what girlfriends are for! We’re supposed to gush about these things,” my best friend whined. His bottom lip jutted out as he pouted.
“Nope. We’ve been talking about me since I walked through the door. I think that’s enough about me. Let’s talk about lover boy in your room. This is the second night you’ve had him over, in a row, no less. Is he growing on you?” I asked sweetly.
“Oh, something’s growing alright,” Gabe teased suggestively.
“Oh, I know, I was here too. Kind of hard to miss,” I joked as I leaned back in the stool and smirked.
“I meant me, but okay,” Gabe said dramatically.
