“You tried to leave me,” Alpha huffed.
“I.. I… I did,” I whispered.
“You still love him.” It wasn’t a question. “Not for long,” he growled.
The witch turned and headed toward a table that I hadn’t noticed by the stairwell. I didn’t see it at first. I watched as she made her rounds down the line, picking up things she needed. When she was done, she headed back my way. Her hair started flowing as she began to chant an incantation. She dipped her hands into a bowl, lowered herself, and began to paint something onto the floor. As she made her way around the table, I realized she was making a circle. I’ve never seen a witch before today, but I know that something is going on.
I don’t know what’s going on, but I know it isn’t good. She throws something into the air and when it comes down, it lands on my bare chest and belly. She disappears out of view and I lift my chin, so I can follow her movements. She stands at the head of the table, her eyes closed, her hands folded. I can’t make out the words, it’s in a different language. The sound of footsteps has me lowering my chin and turning to watch Alpha.
We lock eyes and he stops by my right side. The fear I feel sliding up my body is cold and the look in his eyes causes shivers to run down my spine. His hands press down on the table as he glares down at me. My breath catches in my throat and my eyes widen as I wait for what is going to happen next. Alpha contemplates what to do with me.
I’m afraid, but I clench my jaw and return his glare. My mate curses him out from the wall out of view. I swallowed the bile that threatens to spill from my mouth. He leans down, bringing his head down, and wraps his mouth around my breast. I jolt from the warmth and cry out as his canines extend and break through flesh. He releases me, his tongue sliding out and he runs it from one pebbled peak to the other.
The witch moves then, she strides around the table and I sigh in relief as she stops by Alpha’s side. She reaches for him, her fingers painted red, and I wait for him to growl at her. He does the opposite, he lets her touch him, and I stare as she paints a symbol on him. She turns to me next, dips her chin and stares at my chest. I flinch when her fingers reach out to me. She doesn’t hesitate, her cold fingers touch my chest, and she draws the same symbol over my heart.

A-Adea?
Korra?!
W-What is she doing?
I’ve missed you, so much Korra.
What is she doing?
I don’t know. Whatever it is it isn’t good.
You need to get that off of you.
I can’t do anything. I’ve been chained down. I can sense it.
Do whatever you can to get it off.
I think it’s useless, Korra. We’re not getting out of this one.
It will change everything.
What do you mean?
I don’t know how but I just know. I smell darkness from this witch.
Korra…
If we can’t break free, we need to wipe that symbol off of your chest before she can complete the ritual.
Ritual?
Yes, Adea. Ritual.

As much as I know that I need to wipe it off, I also know that it’s impossible. I don’t know how I’m going to stop this. I’m chained, my mate is chained, I’m not getting out. The witch moves again, this time towards my mate. His hair is loose and covers his face from view.
“Please, don’t hurt him,” I plead.
I know I’ve made one mistake too many, it’s the last thing Alpha wants to hear. I don’t want to hurt my mate anymore than he already is. If the witch heard me, she doesn’t show any signs of it. She stops in front of him and I watch as she bends in half, her head is in front of his, and she reaches out until her fingers press against his chest. He doesn’t shift back, he’s unconscious.
The witch draws the same symbol on his chest, but upside down. I’m trying to figure out what she’s doing, but I’m coming up blank. What could she do that would include the three of us? Standing to her feet, the witch straightens her back and walks to the head of the table. She doesn’t look at me as she beings to chant again. Her gaze darts to Alpha and she nods.
Alpha walks around the table and he stops in front of me. His hands grip my thighs and I can’t help the whimper as he spreads them open. I watch helpless, my hands chained down over the sides of the table, while he steps between my legs. Tears stream down and wet my ears. Alpha unbuttons his pants and they drop to the floor with a soft sound. I groan and try to inch away from him. I turn my head from him, needing to see if my mate is looking. A tear of relief slides down as I thank the Goddess that he’s still unconscious. His body is slack, his head bowed, and for the first time since I saw him standing over Ava’s body, I smile.

I’ll be okay, I can do this. It’ll be like every other night.

Alpha’s grip on my chin forces me back to look at him. The muscle in his jaw twitches angrily.
“You look at me while I take what’s mine,” he growled. His eyes lower over my exposed body and I yank against the chains. I breathe deeply through my nose and his eyes raise to my breasts as I exhale. “After tonight, you won’t question who you belong to,” Alpha growled.
