Chapter 510: She's Pregnant, But

"In the third room on the left." Tommy answered.

"Okay, thank you." Gillian politely said to Tommy, then walked away, counting the rooms as she went.

Tommy watched her, thinking, 'She had arrived with Alaric, so she must be Thomas's daughter, Gillian?'

Tommy watched Gillian enter Stellan's room, then went downstairs.

Gillian entered Stellan's hospital room and found only the sleeping Stellan. She could faintly hear Alaric's voice from the next room, so she walked to the door of the doctor's on-call room next door.

Since sitting across from the doctor, Alaric's heart had been racing. He was very nervous, worried that Stellan might have a serious illness.

"Stellan is pregnant."

Alaric had considered various illnesses, but he never expected pregnancy.

"Stellan is pregnant?" Alaric was really shocked Pregnant?

She got pregnant just that one time she didn't take birth control? What a coincidence?

"Don't get too excited yet; there's a situation," the doctor continued. "She took a lot of sleeping pills without knowing she was pregnant, which caused her abdominal pain. This could lead to a miscarriage or fetal deformity."

Initially, hearing she was pregnant made Alaric instinctively happy, but the doctor's next words brought him crashing down.

"Sleeping pills?" Alaric found it absurd. "She always sleeps well. Why would she take sleeping pills? Is there a mistake?"

"The test results are right here. There's no mistake."

Alaric looked carefully at the test results. Although he couldn't understand much, what was written matched what the doctor said.

'Stellan took sleeping pills? Why? Was she too scared to sleep alone at home? Like Neil said, was it a psychological shadow from seeing that scene?' Alaric thought nervously.

"What should we do now?" Alaric asked the doctor urgently. "What's the least harmful to her body?"

Right now, Alaric couldn't think about the baby; his mind was full of concern for Stellan's safety.

"No one can say for sure what will happen, so the decision is up to you," the doctor explained the two options in detail. "Either you choose to terminate the pregnancy soon, and we can schedule the procedure after her body recovers for a couple of days; Or you keep the baby, but she will need to be on bed rest for a while, and there would be the issue of potential fetal deformity. Some deformities can be detected in three to four months, and you can terminate the pregnancy then. But some deformities can only be detected at seven to eight months, and if that happens, it would require an induced labor, which is very harmful to the mother. So you need to discuss and decide."

"Is the probability of fetal deformity high?" Alaric asked urgently.

"No one can say for sure. The dosage of sleeping pills she took was high, and it was early in the pregnancy. The probability is about fifty percent."

Even if it were only one percent, Alaric wouldn't dare to take the risk, let alone fifty percent.

Alaric walked out of the doctor's office with the test results. As soon as he stepped out, he saw Gillian standing at the door. Knowing he was in a bad mood, she didn't say anything.

Alaric wasn't in the mood to talk to her either. He walked straight into Stellan's room, finding Stellan had just wake up. Seeing her awake, Alaric quickly adjusted his emotions and concerned, "Awake? Does your stomach still hurt?"

Stellan just shook her head, her eyes moist, biting her lip without speaking.

Alaric knew Stellan already knew. He also knew that the last time she gave birth, she almost died, which had left a significant psychological shadow.

This time, not only was she pregnant again, but under such circumstances.

"I'm sorry, Stellan. This is all my fault."

He shouldn't have been so careless, letting Stellan get pregnant again.

"If you're angry, you can yell at me, hit me, just don't cry. It's all my fault."

Seeing Stellan about to cry, Alaric was instantly at a loss, quickly comforting her.

"No, it's not your fault," Stellan felt very guilty. "I'm a doctor, yet I didn't even know I was pregnant and foolishly took so many sleeping pills."

"Why did you take sleeping pills?" Alaric looked into her eyes. "Were you too scared to sleep at night?"

Stellan lowered her head tightly, silent.

Seeing her reaction, Alaric understood without asking.

At that moment, Alaric wanted to kill himself. What was he doing? Why did he have to give Stellan the cold shoulder?

Knowing she had just been through a kidnapping, he only cared about his own anger, not considering her perspective. If he had stayed home, she wouldn't have been so scared that she needed sleeping pills.

Seeing Alaric so remorseful, Stellan quickly comforted him, "Alaric, don't be like this. It's not your fault; it's mine."

Being kidnapped was her mistake. She had made Alaric angry and hadn't apologized. She didn't even know she was pregnant.

Seeing Stellan cry, Alaric quickly held her in his arms, gently rubbing her head to comfort her, "Don't cry. You're still pregnant. Don't cry. It's all my fault."

Gillian had been watching this scene from outside the room, and it had a significant impact on her.

She hadn't expected Stellan to be pregnant again under such circumstances. From the moment Alaric entered the room until now, he had only been concerned about Stellan, not the baby.

Although Gillian had only been here a few days, she could feel that their love was genuine. To Alaric, Stellan was more important than his children.

In this atmosphere, she felt like an outsider and quietly left the room, not sure how she felt.

Was it envy?

Because of her status, many pursued her, but she knew most had ulterior motives.

If a man could love her as Alaric loved Stellan, she would die without regret.

Gillian walked out of the hospital alone, not noticing a pair of eyes watching her from a car not far away.

Seeing her disappear from view, Tommy slowly looked away.
