Chapter 543: My Love Life is None of Your Business
Seeing Gillian driving off alone, Tommy was genuinely worried and hurriedly flagged down a taxi.
"Quick, follow that car!"
Gillian was really angry at this moment. She had never been slapped in her life, and today Thomas had slapped her hard, all because of Alaric.
At this time, Alaric's family of six had just finished breakfast. Yes, Mia was included. She no longer worked like a servant but sat down to eat with them.
"I'm so full this morning," Elisa spoke, patting her bloated stomach with satisfaction. "It's always better to eat at home."
She said this deliberately for Alaric and Stellan to hear. Alaric quickly responded, "Yes, from now on, I'll pick you up and drop you off. No more boarding school."
"How many times have you said that? Aren't you tired of saying it? I'm tired of hearing it," Harry answered, clearly frustrated. "Dad, if you can't do it, don't say it. You always break your promises."
"Exactly," Elisa added. "Especially since Mom is pregnant with a new baby, the three of us are completely out of favor. It's frustrating."
Elisa and Harry always complained in perfect harmony, and Alaric genuinely enjoyed listening to them.
"This time, I absolutely won't break my promise. Hurry up and grab your backpacks; I'll take you to school."
Just as Alaric finished speaking, Gillian's voice came from outside: "Alaric Knight!"
From childhood to now, Gillian had always respectfully called him Alaric and had never used such a tone to call his full name.
Seeing Gillian storming in angrily, Stellan was also startled and quickly stood up, supporting her belly.
"Dad, what did you do wrong? She looks like she's here for revenge." Elisa, feeling the danger, instantly ducked behind Alaric to keep herself safe.
"Nothing, I'll have the driver take you to school today."
"Okay, let's hurry to school," Harry agreed. "Let's stay at school tonight. Handle the family matters first, then come get us."
"Yes, we're off to school now."
Seeing Gillian's furious expression, Caspian, Harry, and Elisa naturally wanted to escape quickly.
Alaric arranged for the driver to take the three children to school. After they left, Stellan asked the furious Gillian, "What's wrong, Gillian? What happened to make you so angry?"
"Ask him," Gillian angrily questioned Alaric. "Alaric, I told you last time not to tell my dad, but you told him anyway. I don't understand. What does my relationship have to do with you? When I need to tell my dad, I'll do it myself. Why do you have to meddle?"
Hearing this, Alaric was also angry. He told Thomas because he was worried about her getting hurt.
"Gillian, I don't care if you're in a relationship, but the fact that it's with Tommy is concerning. I told you, Tommy is not simple. If he tries to deceive you, you're no match for him..."
"Alaric, I really don't get it," Gillian interrupted him. "What did Tommy do to you to make you keep badmouthing him to me? Our relationship was initiated by me. If I get deceived, that's on me and I won't blame anyone. So please, Alaric, just focus on your own family and stop interfering in my relationship with Tommy. It's my own business!"
Alaric really wanted to slap himself. Yes, he was meddling.
Gillian and Tommy were in love and already sleeping together. Why was he worrying about it? It only brought trouble to himself!
"Gillian," Tommy hurriedly came in at this moment. He had heard some of Gillian's words at the door and quickly explained to Alaric, "Sorry, Mr. Knight, Gillian had a disagreement with Mr. Emberlyn, so she's in a bad mood and might have said some things she didn't mean. Please don't take it to heart."
"I'm not going to argue with someone who's not mature," Alaric spoke. "I shouldn't have stuck my nose in. I apologize, and I swear I won't interfere in your relationship again!"
"Get out!" Alaric directly ordered Gillian to leave.
If Gillian continued to throw a tantrum here, what if it affected Stellan's health? That would be too unfortunate for him.
"Alright, Gillian," Tommy quickly pulled Gillian over and persuaded her, "Let's go back. Mr. Emberlyn is worried sick. He's called me countless times on my way here. Let's go back and not worry him."
Gillian didn't want to see Thomas right now, but she didn't want to stay at The Knight Mansion either. She walked out in a huff.
"Mr. Knight, Mrs. Knight, I'm really sorry for bothering you." Tommy apologized again and then followed Gillian out.
Although Stellan didn't know about Alaric calling Thomas before, she understood everything clearly now.
"Alaric, don't be angry. Gillian was probably scolded by Mr. Emberlyn and lost control of her emotions for a moment, so..."
"I'm not angry at her; I'm angry at myself for sticking my nose in.!" Alaric was really mad at himself.
Although Alaric was frustrated, he didn't want to upset Stellan, so he quickly voiced, "It's nothing. Gillian is just lovestruck and irrational. Let her be; I don't care anymore."
Alaric helped Stellan to the sofa, and Stellan cooed, "You know, people who don't understand might think you have bad intentions and want them to break up."
Indeed, people who didn't know the truth might think that.
"Alaric, do you still not trust Tommy? Why? What exactly are you suspicious of?" Stellan knew Alaric had his reasons for everything he did, but she didn't know his reason for this, so she couldn't help but ask.
