Chapter 566: If anything happens to her, we won't let you off.
"I said I need to find her right now!" Alaric shouted sternly.
With that, Alaric directly pushed Tommy aside, stepped into the bedroom, and forcefully opened the door while calling her name, "Gillian!"
At this moment, Gillian was completely covered by the blanket. Seeing this, Alaric's heart tightened, and he immediately went to lift the blanket, "Gillian!"
Seeing Alaric standing by her bed, Gillian was so frightened that she sat up immediately. Fortunately, she was wearing pajamas.
Gillian asked, "First it was my dad, now it's you. What are you guys doing?"
Gillian was sleeping soundly, but suddenly the blanket was lifted, and seeing it was Alaric, she was instantly wide awake.
"Are you all crazy?" Gillian was really angry, "Can't a person get a good night's sleep?"
"Mr. Knight," Tommy spoke up at this moment, "I already told you, Gillian is sleeping and doesn't like to be disturbed."
Alaric gave Tommy a cold glance. Yes, it was quite awkward, not much better than the time with Rowena.
But Alaric didn't regret coming, after all, it's better to be cautious.
"I called you so many times, why was your phone off?" Alaric ignored Tommy and questioned Gillian.
"The phone was out of battery, what else could it be?" Gillian retorted, then asked irritably, "What do you want from me? Why are you in such a hurry?"
What was it? Wasn't it because Alaric was worried something might have happened to her?
"Stellan was looking for you. He said the housekeeper, Vivienne, whom you hired, was fired and wanted to know what happened." Alaric replied.
"What? Vivienne was fired?" Gillian was confused.
"I fired her," Tommy responded, "Gillian has been sleeping all day, and I haven't had a chance to tell her. As for the reason, I'll explain it to Gillian later. There's no need to explain it to you, Mr. Knight."
"Yes, there's indeed no need," Alaric uttered, "I was being redundant today, I shouldn't have come."
After saying that, Alaric looked at Gillian angrily and ordered sternly, "If your phone is out of battery, charge it. Keep it on 24/7. Today it was me, but if it was my teacher calling you and couldn't get through, he would be very worried, especially being far away."
"Got it." Gillian replied impatiently.
"Go back to sleep. You stay cooped up in this house all day, eating and sleeping, sleeping and eating. Aren't you afraid of becoming stupid?" Alaric scolded angrily.
This love-struck Gillian had become a homebody since she started dating Tommy, staying in the house all day.
"Can't even get a good sleep." Gillian muttered, then lay back down on the bed.
Alaric didn't want to deal with her anymore and walked out. Tommy walked him to the door.
At the entrance, Alaric stopped and reminded Tommy, "Tommy, you're her boyfriend now. It's your job to protect her. My teacher only has this one daughter, and he treasures her. If anything happens to her in Arizona, my teacher and I won't let you off the hook."
"No need for the reminder, Mr. Knight," Tommy replied firmly, "I'm her boyfriend, of course, I'll protect her. As long as I'm here, she's safe."
Alaric didn't say anything more.
After Alaric left, Tommy closed the door and returned to the bedroom. He took Gillian's phone and charged it.
"My bad, I forgot to charge your phone."
"It's not your fault, I didn't pay attention," Gillian replied, yawning, "I slept the whole day."
Tommy lay down on the bed and hugged her, "That's because you didn't sleep well last night. I'm sorry, Gillian, it was because I got drunk last night."
"It's those damn bosses of yours, it's not your fault. Just thinking about it makes me angry," Gillian quickly asked Tommy, "How are you feeling now? Does your head still hurt?"
"I slept it off, I'm fine now."
"That's good," Gillian asked quickly, "You haven't told me why you fired Vivienne. She was doing a good job."
"She was doing well, but I want to save money to buy a new house," Tommy explained, "Also, I got a call from Neil today. He said unless there's an urgent case, I won't have to work night shifts anymore. This way, I can cook all three meals for you, and we won't need a housekeeper."
"You want to buy a new house?"
"Yes, this one-bedroom is too small. We'll need a bigger place eventually, so I'm preparing in advance."
"That's true. When we have a baby in the future, this place won't be enough."
"Yes," Tommy smiled faintly, then asked, "Do you want to sleep more? If you do, go ahead. I'll make dinner."
"No, if I sleep more, I'll really become stupid," Gillian spoke, wrapping her arms around Tommy's neck, and he helped her up.
"Tommy, why don't you teach me how to cook?" Gillian asked, "Maybe cooking is really fun, especially when you cook for someone you love. It must be very fulfilling."
"No," Tommy refused, "I can cook, you don't need to."
"Are you going to cook for me forever?"
"If you don't get tired of it."
Gillian smiled sweetly and kissed him on the lips, "How can my Tommy be so good? I'm so happy."
"I'm your boyfriend, of course, I have to take care of you," Tommy uttered, "Alright, if you don't want to sleep, read a book. I'll make dinner."
"Carry me to the study." Gillian said in a whiny voice.
Tommy shook his head with a smile, then carried her to the study, placed her on the sofa, and handed her the book she was reading.
"Study well, I'll check your work later."
"Got it, Tommy."
Tommy left the study, glanced at her as he closed the door, and saw she was already reading seriously.
This silly girl didn't even notice he had another phone, not even a bit suspicious.
Tommy took a deep breath, then walked into the kitchen. As he was about to start cooking, he looked up at the house opposite, Josep's house.
Looking at that window, he thought about something.
